there were things that felt FAMILIAR when it came to the new reality , yet everything was UNDENIABLY different . atticus had been TORN from the PAST , and thrust into a FUTURE ; obvious to say , he was NAVIGATING through UNCHARTED WATERS . a part of him had hoped this new reality would gift him caitlin and sam , ( his wife and son ) . however , even in this reality they were gone . determined to find a way to REUNITE with his family , he stumbled upon an ancient scroll written in a dead native tongue called aramaic , — a language he needed to translate in hopes of answering one question : HOW TO BRING BACK THE DEAD . despite his relentless search , atticus tried to adapt to his new surroundings . he had started working at new orlean college , teaching classes on the OCCULTS . " it's after office hours , " he said , placing a stack of ungraded papers into his dark brown leather bag . " whatever questions you have will have to wait until monday.
