tess weakly nodded her head in response. ❝ i'm was trying to write the hit of the summer , not fucking shakespeare , ❞ she mumbled as arms crossed over her chest. she fidgeted , uncomfortable. ❝ nevermind. it doesn't matter now anyways. i should work on something else. ❞ if the producers didn't like what she had to offer , she wasn't sure she wanted to expose shane to it too. sure , maybe he could help her ( if he even offered ) , but she felt an inkling of ... embarrassment. she wasn't used to such a hit to her confidence. she exhaled loudly , turning her attention back to him. ❝ and why did your day suck ??? ❞

∿ 𝅄 ˚ shane's  brows  furrowed  as  she  explained  the  reason  for  the  long  face  .  “  they  said  you  don't  have  depth  ?  ”  he  thought  that  was  a  little  obscure  .  he  hadn't  seen  this  side  of  tess  before  ,  and  truthfully  ,  shane  wasn't  sure  how  to  react  .  he  wondered  what  sort  of  song  she'd  written  for  it  to  be  dismissed  that  way  .  “  maybe  they  were  looking  for  something  more  .  .  .  poetic  ?  ”  he  suggested  hesitantly  .  “  what  did  you  present  them  with  ?  ”

while tess was partial to the beautiful , it wasn't wasn't her highest priority. camp rock was borderline in shambles ( especially when compared to camp star ) but she cared more about her goals than the view. ❝ may be pretty , but it can also waste precious time. ❞

tess blinked , as if in disbelief. she hummed to herself as she averted her gaze for a moment. ❝ is that so ? ❞ the question mostly rhetorical. she checked her perfectly manicured nails , a hint of a smirk growing on her lips , before eyeing him once more. ❝ perhaps you just haven't see me set to full volume. ❞

it wasn't that tess didn't believe in hard work , but she has grown fairly accustomed to things just being handed to her. ❝ okay , fine, maybe so ... but they sure as hell take you the long way. ❞

tess' problems may have been mediocre to most ; but she was a dramatic one. her frown was obvious ; enough to prompt some sympathy from shane apparently. she eyed him for a moment before letting outy a heavy sigh. ❝ got told i don't have any depth , ❞ she admitted before throwing her head back. she stares at the ceiling for a while. ❝ it was a bop , too !!! bops don't need to be deep !! ❞ she stomped her foot , as if on the verge on a tantrum again.
