in  verses  where  serena  wields  a  lightsaber,     hers  is  a  particularly  unique  make  as  she  focuses  on  making  it  easy  to  use  with  her  short  stature,     as  well  as  powerful,     and  aesthetically  pleasing.          her  lightsaber  is  a  staff  and  double  -  bladed,     though  can  be  used  as  a  single  blade  as  well.

her  hilt  is  thirty  centimeters  long,  and  she  uses  her  father’s  family  crystal,     received  from  his  body  before  his  funeral,     as  her  focusing  crystal.          the  crystal  comes  from  the  core  of  solelle,     a  natural  force  hotspot,     and  is  a  variation  of  a  kyber  crystal.          the  hilt  has  ridges  along  the  midsection  for  a  better  grip,     and  is  made  of  alloy  metal  like  most  lightsabers.          while  not  necessarily  allowed,     serena  has  plated  the  ridges  with  a  rose  -  gold  decoration,     and  carved  a  rose  design  into  the  other  negative  spaces  in  the  hilt.          she  based  much  of  her  design  after  her  master,     mace  windu,     in  respect  of  his  training.          her  blade  is  also  a  rose  -  gold  color.

serena  chose  a  saberstaff  due  to  her  extreme  agility  and  small  stature.          while  powerful,     her  greatest  assets  are  her  skills  and  swiftness.          this  is  an  extremely  offensive  type  of  blade  that  goes  well  with  her  training  in  vaapad,     and  her  rapid  movements  can  serve  to  confuse  others.          she  mixes  this  with  makashi  on  a  need  -  to  basis,     and  is  talented  at  quickly  disarming  others,     which  is  her  preference  when  it  comes  to  combat.

as  someone  with  plenty  of  schooling  under  her  belt,     serena  appreciates  a  formal  schooling,     but  doesn’t  look  down  on  others  for  choosing  another  path.          while  it  doesn’t  entirely  occur  to  her  that  many  would  choose  higher  formal  education  given  the  opportunity  and  money,     serena  typically  just  assumes  that  they  choose  not  to  get  formal  schooling.          self  -  education  is  much  harder,     and  there’ve  been  times  where  serena  has  chosen  to  teach  herself  things  —  especially  in  the  future  post  her  death,     so  she  has  a  respect  for  people  who  have  taught  themselves  every  thing.

within  sundescent ,     the  castle  on  solelle  where  serena  lives ,     is  the  court  of  the  sun.          it’s  a  public  court  with  towering  pillars ,      ivy ,     and  the  throne  is  made  from  a  precious  stone  in  solelle  called  ‘ pythceni ’ ,     with  rippling  golden  ridges  that  glimmer  in  the  daylight.          along  the  walls  are  stained  glass  windows ,     and  the  ceiling  is  a  glass  dome  that  spans  across  the  entire  hall.          behind  the  throne ,     nicknamed  the  white  throne ,     is  a  large  mural  of  the  goddess  worshipped  on  solelle ,     seiros.         the  throne  is  placed  as  the  highest  in  the  room ,     but  is  still  only  slightly  elevated.          myths  are  abound  that  the  white  throne  has  a  spirit  of  it’s  own ,     due  to  the  rare  material  used  within  it.          it’s  believed  that  the  throne  was  imbued  with  this  spirit  by  seiros  herself ,     and  can  sense  purity.          they  say  the  throne  will  reject  those  who  are  not  members  of  the  royal  solelle  family ,     and  will  slowly  kill  them ,     or  bring  misfortune  upon  those  who  sit  there  and  claim  it  as  their  own.

serena  has  a  handful  of  trinkets  that  she  keeps  with  her,     she’s  extremely  sentimental.          the  most  important  and  obvious  being  her  heart  -  locket,     which  has  a  picture  of  her  parents  on  one  side,     and  august  on  the  other.          it  was  a  gift  from  him  on  one  of  her  birthdays.          she  also  likes  to  wear  a  pair  of  small  pearl  earrings  that  once  belonged  to  her  mother.         she  also  has  her  father’s,     her  mother’s,     and  august’s  wedding  rings.          ashton  inherited  august’s  wedding  ring  when  he  was  old  enough,     and  decided  to  give  it  to  serena  when  she  came  to  meet  him.

i’d  say  she’s  in  between  ?         serena  can  find  her  way  around  if  there  are  directions,     and  she  can  read  a  map,     but  she  definitely  gets  confused  sometimes.          if  she  does  get  lost,     then  she  mostly  tries  to  figure  it  out,     not  out  of  pride,     but  because  she’s  too  shy  and  embarrassed  to  ask  for  directions.          she’ll  admit  that  she’s  lost,     and  if  she’s  with  another  person  she  isn’t  as  ashamed,     but  when  she’s  alone,     she’ll  mostly  wander  around.          she’ll  feel  really  anxious  and  upset,     but  she’s  still  too  shy  to  ask.
