idk I think it's really special how you can meet someone or see a fictional character or watch an episode or read a chapter or listen to just one song and not know that it's going to be the beginning of a huge part of your life. the person that helped you through a crisis was once just someone you said hi to that seemed nice. the character you've written or read thousands of words about used to just be a distant piece of media. that chapter that changed your life didn't use to exist in your mind. you cried to that song for the first time once.

Shake it Out for Ferdinand being all about having to let go of your past and your previous regrets and acknowledging that no matter what you do, SOMEONE you care about is going to hate you for it.

Girls Against God for Edelgard. Just the religious trauma. The acknowledgement that her war is a response to her childhood trauma. If the Goddess is real, she will pay for what she did to Edelgard and her siblings.

Howl for Dimitri. I just. It's so him. Being a good man but all of his pain makes him vicious and brutal.

Just A Girl for literally all the girls. Every single one of them. Bernadetta was supposed to be married of to Ferdinand when they were children AND SHE WASNT EVEN AWARE. Ingrid was set to marry a man the moment she was born. Everyone is horrifically sexist to her for absolutely no reason. Dorothea. Just EVERYTHING about her. ALL THE GIRLS.

The Results Are In!!

*Sadly, the execs aren't paying attention to lil ol' us, so nothing is likely to change.

Treasure Planet 2 is the winner, earning the title of the most disappointing and irrational of Cancelled Projects. Maybe it was the unfair reasoning, maybe it was the lost world building, maybe it was the discarded story line but it is a clear missed opportunity for everyone.

Second place is the lesser known Appalachian-set tale My Peoples (or A Few Good Ghosts/Once In A Blue Moon). Two things we learned from this project's journey is that a) many people were unaware of the story and b) Chicken Little should have been on the chopping block instead.

Before we close the book on this tournament, we want to share a few tidbits we learned and ramble our thoughts.

A new Oswald show with Jon Favreau is in the works. It has been marketed as a live-action-animation hybrid form. Aside from being able to see the full MGaDD episode, there are also saved animatics and full animation clips for other projects like Aristocats II and My Peoples and Fantasia 2006 and Kingdom Hearts. We think if the Mouse Company wanted to, many of these could easily come back. We would love a new Fantasia. Princess Acadmey could only be improved with many of the new female characters since it's cancellation (Moana, Mirabel , Raya, Judy Hopps....). We don't think Lizzie McGuire would have been out of place on Freeform or even as streaming only. But they need to see the monetary value, and we just want the artistic expression.

Lastly, we want to share our favorite memory of the tournament as a whole: During the Semi Finals (Muppets v TP2 and Oswald v My Peoples) there was a moment of time when all four projects has exactly 22 votes. It was very exciting and we would be shocked if such a momentary tie event ever happens again.

As of right now it's the end of July, it's now been a year since I started using Tumblr seriously. I honestly couldn't be happier here 😭 so far. I expected it to be better than Twitter but there is just no way I could have foresee it was gonna go this well. I made so many new amazing and cool friends 🥹 here over the course of this year. I even got new close friends. Y'all are fantastic and wholesome and I want to thank everyone for the support and love<3. It gives me strength and determination to continue
