@pompedia. literally one of the brightest glows on my dash. she is an incredibly talented writer, she pours so much love and attention into every element of her blog from her visuals to her characterization. beyond that, she's a friend I always know I can rely on, can nudge with silliness or serious things. I'm so lucky to call her a friend.

@4themerald/ @dragetunge. Kris is seriously one of my dearest internet friends at this point. they have so much dedication to their muses, in respecting their source material but also expanding it into something bigger than it ever was. I can always count on them to be excited with whatever nonsense I throw their way, whether it's "hehe silly nonsense" or "hey want me to punch you in the feelings?" They always get me back for it.

@madefate. you want feelings?? you want incredible writing that will absolutely grab you by the fucking throat?? then you need Claire in your life. Claire is another writer who is so incredibly talented at expanding on given lore into something tangible, bigger than it ever was intended to be in a way that makes such perfect sense. and again, a friend I always know I can go to, who is always a loving and safe place.

I'm loving this new trend of rpers going "actually, fuck you, this is my blog and I do what I want." Whether that's writing ships, or doing a lot of memes, or just replying to things in whatever order suits them.

There's never been a rule book on this shit, but we all let ourselves fall into these little rhythms that worked for some but not all. I did it for years : I felt like if a muse wasn't popular enough ( whatever the fuck that means ) that there was no point in writing them, and ditched so many blogs I loved because I wasn't "enough."

My blog now is dedicated to me, myself, and I. I write what I want, who I want, and when I want. Long live this new age of doing whatever the fuck we want.

@plasticsouled : ☕️ + how bout single muse blogs vs. multi muse blogs, as a multi yourself?

Man, I was a single-muse girlie for so many years. A quick glance at my FAQ will reveal that 90% of those old blogs were, in fact, single muse focused blogs... but I kept dropping them, because my ADHD makes it so hard to focus on a single muse for a long period of time.

SO HONESTLY, I love single-muse blogs because that means you have so much dedication and love for one character! You really get to explore them and dive into them. Not to mention, I miss having all the uniform graphics for single muses — where everything is so personalized and stylized.

I think running a multimuse is harder, to be honest. Balancing and sorting and figuring out how to make everything flow nicely. All of that, not to mention that there is an inherent bias in the RPC against multis, for whatever reason. Which is ridiculous, imho.

For me, running a multi worked better with my ADHD. I don't drop blog as often and can just shuffle through muses as I have more muse for them, without feeling like I'm letting a ton of people down if I don't have muse. But I do miss writing singles and having just that devotion to one character.

I don't know that I have any true hot takes so here's a couple of my like medium-hot takes :

we're literally just playing barbie dolls on the internet, it's not that fucking deep. touch grass. eat a snickers. if someone doesn't wanna play with you, there's a whole big-ass playground for you to explore, don't harass the one person who expressed a boundary. go climb the monkey bars or smth.

I don't care if your blog has music on it but in the year of our lord 2025 for all that is good do not make that shit autoplay. It could be the best song I've ever heard but if it autoplays when I open your blog in the background I will be filled with a righteous indignation and will suddenly hate that song with the fury of a thousand suns.

don't whine about not being able to make icons / gifs / graphics / carrds / whatever. there are so many people out there who will do shit for free or on commission. can't afford to commission someone? learn. none of us came out of the womb knowing how to do this shit. to be clear asking for help learning is not whining : approaching someone and being like "omg your graphics ;;; are so pretty!! I wish........ someone would make them...... for me........." is cringe and while cringe culture is dead this shit annoys me to death.

related to above : having nice graphics doesn't make a blog superior. stop treating people like they are. it distances people and creates this "us vs them" divide which is super weird. I literally had someone tell me ( not on this blog ) that I was intimidating because I had nice graphics. That has nothing to do with my writing or personality?? stop. it's weird. quit that.
