１日経ってずいぶん落ち着きました。

昨日はシャーシャー言ってましたが、朝から撫でることもでき、先ほどブラシもかけさせてもらいました。

猫エイズと猫白血病共に陰性なので、あとは駆虫と相性でしょうか。

Jさんはケージにいるのは茶白くんだと理解していて、そんなに怒るでもなく過ごしています。

彼は地域猫として一部で茶志郎（茶白だから）と呼ばれていたので…ちょっと触って茶志朗丸という名前に決めました。

He has calmed down a lot after a day. Although he was hissing yesterday, I was able to stroke him in the morning and I have just brushed him.As he is negative for both FIV and FeLV, the rest would be deworming and compatibility. Mr.J understands that it is the orange white that are in the cage and is not so angry with them.He was called Chashirou (from his orange-white colour) by some as a community cat... I decided on the name Chashirou-maru after a bit of touching.

アンパンマンのチョコクリームぱん

ややこしい話である。

アンパンマンなら、中身は餡子なのでは？と普通思うのですが、こいつの中身はチョコクリーム。

しかも、ちょっと顔の造作が失敗気味のアンパンマンだ😆（故・やなせたかし先生は笑って許してくれると思いますが）

だがしかし、ここのお店（ブレヴァン）は、クリームパンが大人気で、毎日、たくさん売れてます。

そのクリームを使ったチョコクリームなので、美味いんだなこれが^^

実は、もう何回もリピしてます。

It's a complicated story. Normally you would think that Anpanman would have bean paste inside, but this one has chocolate cream inside. What's more, the design of his face is a bit off 😆 (I'm sure the late Takashi Yanase would laugh and forgive ) But this shop (Brevent) is really popular for their cream buns, and they sell a lot of them every day. This chocolate cream bun is made using that cream, so it's delicious ^^ To be honest, I've already bought it many times.

i've been completely obsessed with this song in the last week. just gonna copy and paste this huge comment i wrote about it. ALSO SORRY IF SOMEONE HAS ALREADY WRITTEN ABOUT THIS LOL i know the song's been out a whole month already

i was taken aback by some japanese comments that i initially wrote off as crackpot conspiracy headcanons theorizing this song/mv (absolute banger btw i'm obsessed) is subtly about osomatsu-san/kun. which as the certified yumejoshi CEO of karamatsu brainrot even i thought was reaching, like no way. and then i rewatched this with the japanese captions on and holy shit. THIS ABSOLUTELY IS 100% REFERENCING OSOMATSU-KUN/SAN, the kid's anime from the 60s (and 80s) about 6 mischievous identical kid brothers that got rebooted in 2016 except now they had grown up and are completely washed adult jobless virgin losers living with their parents. IT WAS POSTED ON THEIR BIRTHDAY FOR A REASON I GUESS. HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU SHITTY NEETS you got an incredible earworm of a vocaloid song

here's the list of observations i put together, mostly from the japanese comment thread started by @夏山蜜柑 that when viewed altogether can't be a coincidence.

japanese captions "glitching" to spell out the names of all 6 of the matsuno brothers: oso, kara, choro, ichi, jyushi, todo. it's so deliberate that they're even bolded and italicized lmfao. "don't be scared", or OSOranaide, becoming 恐れないで, "wired in the the CRT"/buraunkan ni KARAmatta ego -> ブラウン管に絡まったエゴ, "never seems to take it slow"/CHOROchoro to sewashiku -> ちょろちょろとせわしく (which is particularly noteworthy because it should normally be written in katakana, which is also how choromatsu's name is spelled, but they deliberately glitched FROM katakana to hiragana), "in studio seats"/ICHI ni tsuitara -> 位置についたら, "out-manic"/JYUSHou no soujou -> 重症な躁状, and "we'll stay another day"/mou ichinichi TODOmaruyo -> もう一日留まるよ. these are the ONLY characters that get glitched. and most of them are not even standalone nouns just chunks of kana that in and of themselves don't have meaning… outside of osomatsu san that is!!!!! already pretty damning evidence. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE

the background colors in the chorus literally cycle through the 6 matsuno bros colors. IN THE CORRECT ORDER. red, cyan (blue), green, indigo (purple), yellow, pink. it'd be one thing if it was just the colors, but it being in the correct order is too coincidental

ricedeity from flavor foley, literally the composer and lyricist of the song AND the animator of the video, IS A KNOWN OSOMATSU SAN FAN (i know what you are….. /pos). they have re-animated MULTIPLE osomatsusan skits crossed over with vocaloid over the years, so yeah i could definitely see them doing this

the visual style fits the original 60s/80s children show osomatsu-kun closely, same eras (we get both b/w and 80s era color). also miku's outfit literally looks like the classic osomatsu-kun suit jackets down to the same big bowtie and big buttons. there's also a moment (2:28) where miku is drawn as a full grown adult in a more detailed style. a dichotomy just like the matsu blobs vs their F6 bishounen bodies.

the recurring phrase "this is how it should be", or "これでいいのだ", is a VERY iconic catchphrase from bakabon, a different series by the same author of osomatsu-kun, and there was a lot of crossover. when i say it's iconic i mean it's like the showa era equivalent of homer simpson's "d'oh" lol. tbh even when i first listened to static i noticed this repetition and made the connection to bakabon too even without the japanese captions, but i just thought it was a funny coincidence. boy do i look like an idiot now! lmao

miku splits into 6 in the chorus. sextuplets. it'd be a complete coincidence if it weren't for everything else

the overall theme, story, and message of the song, of miku being desperate to keep you watching, parallels the pilot plot of osomatsu-san (the 2016 reboot) really closely, in which the 6 bros as kids from the black and white showa era osomatsu-kun anime are like "wait we got rebooted? it's 2016? what the hell do we do to keep people watching??? we'll do ANYTHING to keep people watching us on TV! (including violate a lot. i mean a lot of franchise copyrights. to the point where they had to remove the episode from the blu ray release and pretend it never existed)". this desperation to do anything to keep viewers watching is a concept so built in to the show that they run it back as the season 2 first episode too lmao.

like i mentioned at the top, this was posted on the matsunos' birthday, may 24th

hell. there's probably even more that i missed. all of this is to say holy moly. what an incredible song and incredible tribute, and i bet most of the 11 million views didn't even think about this, at least not the english ones. i mean hell even with constant deep karamatsu brainrot that i have i didn't fully make the connection until i read the comments from jp viewers, they did get lots of hints though haha. but man, as if i couldn't love this song any more, now i find out it's all deeply entwined with ososan…. it's just so peak 😭 i desperately need to re-animate this as osomatsu-kun/san… i need to so bad……. FUCK IT'S JUST SO GENIUS! RICE! YOU'RE A GENIUS!!!!!!

Dear my Tumblr's friends.

Sorry for not posting or contacting you for so long.

From May to June, Hug wasn't in the best of health, but on the days when she was feeling well, she was in a good mood and could enjoy long walks. However, now that July has come and the hot weather has continued day after day, she has lost her energy again. Then in August, she developed an acute inflammation accompanied by a high fever, and was temporarily in critical condition.

Fortunately, she recovered, but after extensive medical examination, it was discovered that Hug had a malignant disease. (This was very brutal results, as a regular health check-up in early spring had shown no problems…) And for several reasons, it seems unlikely that she will ever be cured completely, so she will have to live with this nasty disease.

Currently, her condition is very calm. And today, she has safely reached her 14th birthday, which brings me great emotion. Seeing her smile so broadly makes me really really happy and I can't help but express my heartfelt gratitude.

大変ご無沙汰しております。

春先以降もハグの体調があまり芳しくなく、長らくTumblr活動をお休みしてしまいました。８月には高熱を伴う急性の炎症を起こし、一時は危ない状態にまで陥ったハグですが、回復したのちに不調の原因を探るため色々な検査をしたところ悪性の疾患に罹っていることが判明しました。春に受けた定期健康診断では特に問題がなかったので、それはとても残酷な結果であり、またいくつかの理由から完治のためのハードルが高く、今後はその厄介で忌まわしい病と折り合いをつけながら暮らしてゆくことになります。

幸い、現在は落ち着いた状態を保てており、本日無事に14歳の誕生日を迎えられたことを心からうれしく感じています。どんなときも絶やすことなく僕に向けてくれる彼女の笑顔は本当に宝物でしかありません。

この先は、いつまた身体の変化が悪い方に転んでしまうのか明確には予想がつかないものの、14歳の一年はきっと大きな試練が待ち受ける年になるでしょう。しかし元々イヌの〈犬生〉が短いことは自明であって、だからこそ僕が常々大切にしてきたのは“どのくらい生きるか”ではなく“どのように生きるか”、すなわち犬生の「長さ」ではなく「深さ」なので、今後もその考えを更に強く胸に抱きながら、ハグとともに僕らの愛するグリーン・ロードを一歩一歩踏みしめつつ、「いま」「この瞬間」を楽しみ、ひたすら歩いてゆくだけです。

Authentic Japan in Gyakuten Saiban pt. 1

Those who played the Ace Attorney localization know that all the names authentic to Japan were either changed to common ones, or more or less explained by the characters watched movies/TV series and so on.

And what about the original Japanese version?

We encounter the decoration of a Japanese house in 2-2, when we visit the Kurain village. And what is noteworthy is that Naruhodō is well informed about such items and actively comments on each of them.

For starters, the curious name of one of the locations

I have an idea why the localization called this location "Winding Way", but I'm not a native speaker, so I can't be sure of the correctness of my conclusions. "Wind your way" fits the meaning quite well, but in my opinion, there was no point in reinventing the wheel and calling the "corridor" something else.

Tokonoma is an alcove or niche in the wall of a traditional Japanese home, one of the 4 main components of the main room of a Japanese aristocratic house.

Tokonoma should contain only art objects, such as kakemono - a scroll with a painting or a calligraphically written saying, motto or poem. Also, a small flower arrangement (ikebana) is a common attribute.

Interesting fact: according to Japanese etiquette, the most important guest sits with his back to the tokonoma.

Now pay attention to where and how the futon is located, on which the guest in the beret slept (if she had sat down on the futon, she would have ended up with her back to the tokonoma). Here you have a "simple student studying the occult".

Cleyera japonica (sakaki) is a flowering evergreen tree. It is considered sacred to Japanese Shintō faith, and is one of the classical offerings at Shintō shrines. In Shinto ritual offerings to the "gods; spirits" (神, kami), branches of sakaki are decorated with paper streamers (shide) to make tamagushi.

It turns out to be quite interesting - if a person is not familiar with these interior items, then not only will he not tell anything about them, but he will not even know what they are called. Naruhodo, whose childhood fell at the end of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century, could have learned about this only in a couple of cases:

1. He had been in a traditional Japanese house before, saw these items and was told about them by older relatives;

2. He independently studied old interior items (which is not surprising, because he studied art at the university).

This is also confirmed by his comment about shoji: "it's been a while since I last saw a shoji screen".

That is, he saw all this with his own eyes, but quite a long time ago.

Naruhodo is quite well educated in the culture of his own country, although some things have already lost their sacred meaning for him and are not used by him (and, possibly, his family) in everyday life.

It’s one of the questions that appeared in the latest B’s-log magazine issue. I decided to share this one because it’s fun.

DISCLAIMER: I’m not a translator, so please take this with a huge grain of salt because I don’t speak let alone read Japanese very well. I mostly used machine translation and some of the little knowledge I have to get through this. I added the original Japanese script if you wanna read that on your own.
