How to create pixel art the easy way 😎

Take an existing drawing.

Open it in PaintNET.

If viable, set "Canvas Size…" so that the height and width are both divisible by 4.

Go to "Resize…" → "Resampling: Nearest Neighbor" → "By percentage: 25%" → apply

Go to "Resize…" again → "By percentage: 400%" → apply

You now have pixel art in less than 2 minutes. 😎

This also makes supposed pixel art projects far less often needed.

In the cases of many other art pieces, it still looks far too detailed to simply go 25%→400%, and may instead need for example "divisible by 5"→20%→500%, etc.

I'd certainly count me in on such an agent attire too, in addition to all the official ones (Among the official ones, I'm sold on the mermaid and figure skating ones).

So the newest trailer for Princess Peach Showtime revealed the last few costumes and I gotta say....AAAAAAAAAAAAH! Call me Bowser, cause I'm craving them peaches! Anyways, given the idea behind the outfit transformations, there's lots of ideas that haven't been explored in the canon game. 

Of course, I wanted to throw a few of my ideas out there; here is one of them: Secret Agent Peach! While I can't say much on how the gameplay would probably be like since the game's not out yet; I do imagine it to be similar to Ninja Peach and Dashing Thief Peach, but with and added puzzle mechanic of having to use gadgets to sneak by foes, hack and disable devices, and escape precarious situations!

Princess Peach: Showtime! dance party times

While I don't think Tumblr got this kind of grid format right, it's nevertheless dance season. Either in a DJ club or a fairy village's full moon ball. Possibly both.

I also spent 2 hella months figuring out how to get the best possible top recording of the Hat Man, and finally got one this morning.

Fun fact about Figure Skater Peach

Despite what probably everyone, me included until this week, have thought for 5 months now, the blue gradient on her arms aren't actually frost that would be so extremely cold that it melded into her skin.

It's actually a bodysuit whose neck area is skin-colored for some reason and with a neck enclosure, and the feather dress is simply worn on top of it. I know these kinds of seams anywhere.

They are damn near impossible to see during regular gameplay, but the seams are indeed there.

Those Peach Showtime costume stars must be very powerful

I've noticed that Swordfighter Peach is very clearly left-handed, while Cowgirl Peach is very clearly right-handed.

I knew those costume stars and their «Smash Direct trailer»-styled transformations run on magic and such, but holy cow the stars' magic must be powerful.

Bonus topic: According to Super Mario Wiki, all the new Peach forms have Spirit battles to their name? I thought Smash Ultimate had ceased all development some 18 months ago or so. I should get screenshots for the sole purpose of uploading them to the Wiki, but I need to re-set up my Elgato first (which is an absolute nightmare to do).

A new challenger is in town

So far, the title for "Best male character" in Princess Peach: Showtime! have been a 1-on-1 duel between "Very fancy posing figure skater man" and "Hat Man".

Now that I've done heavy research on him, there is now a 3rd duelist:

Junior Detective.

He's got the ideas and enthusiasm, hoping it can make up for him being new to his job. Things like trying to getting rid of a giant bomb that had 11 seconds on the clock, spots a river far below, tries to throw an American Football-style very long throw to it, and then manages to fumble the bomb with 4 seconds on the clock.

He certainly works in duo teams for a reason or 30. But he loves his work and to work with his partners.

The 2 Princess Peach games, together at last.

In the 8 or 9 years or so since I bought Super Princess Peach (and a DS Rumble Park) on eBay, and a pink DS+3DS cartridge case that I also bought on eBay, I presumed "Peach has had a fine time in her own game. Goodness knows if there'll ever be a Princess Peach 2."

The years went on. In 2019 I bought a Switch, and began retrofitting parts of the same cartridge case with Clas Ohlson double-sided tape to astonishingly fit Switch cartridges pretty well too. Ring Fit Adventure, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, you name it.

Cue 2024.

Together, and most importantly, together in the same cartridge case, next to each other.

Peach Showtime's residents remind me of something…

I swear 165% that the city residents in Princess Peach Showtime are child Piantas, and nothing can convince me otherwise.

Nintendo of America/Europe may be calling them "Theets", but they're wrong. And so are probably Nintendo of Japan too.
