when 甄嬛 woke up and the first thing she asked was “is my baby okay?” bro i burst into tears ahhhhhh

and the episode before, where she was already not feeling well but still insisted on going to see 华妃 i had a feeling grgrggrgrgrgggg

and then when she was kneeling in the courtyard, her servant and 眉姐姐 holding her up, still reciting the words argh my heart!!! it hurt!!! i was also begging 华妃 to let it go like damn >:(

i honestly hope 华妃 gets what she deserves 🙏🙏🙏 (though it does pain me to see her finally fall out of the emperor’s favor…) her apology to the emperor i feel like was genuine, where she didn’t actually mean to hurt the baby. but she did 😭😭😭😭😭😭 like you get what you had coming but also seeing you hurting doesn’t make me happy you know?

To commemorate the day I finally tracked down the Sheng Ming Lan and Gu Ting Ye wedding figurines, this is me questioning my life choices as I catalogue all the cdrama blind box figurines I've been collecting over the last few years.

As mentioned, the super secret blind box Gu Ting Ye and Ming Lan wedding set that cost stupidly much to make sure I get this in the "blind" box, but this is what adulting in fandom is. What else am I going to spend my money on?

These were not marketed as Huan Zhu Ge Ge probably because they don't have the rights, but come on, it's pretty obvious. (I also had Jin Suo, but these are made out of ceramic and Jin Suo had a horrible accident one day...)

Cnetizens say Zhen Huan is so gorgeous and they are totally obsessed with Lin Daiyu's elegant stair-climbing scene in Dream of the Red Chamber, and they roast today's guzhuang dramas: "Seriously, what's up with all these period romance dramas lately? The actors either have zero poise and presence, or they're so stiff and unnatural like their necks are about to snap from trying too hard."

Probably no one knows about this show on tumblr but have this:

I need someone to look at me like how Noble Lady Huan and Noble Lady Shen look at each other 😭 Your honour they love each other so much it hurts. (I don't necessarily ship them, but my god their love is beyond platonic or romantic they just love each other so much I think they are soulmates...)

甄嬛传 (Empresses in the Palace/Legend of Zhen Huan) is my number one comfort show ever, even though it's mostly a tragedy. 80% tragedy, 10% comedy, and 10% cathartic moments - but wow when the catharsis hits it hits. I watched it for the first time a few years ago because people say it's the most iconic cdrama ever, and I've been rewatching it on and off since.

All the women in this show is just AH! 😭 Costuming is stunning, acting is amazing, the plot is crazy - not a single dialogue/scene is wasted and the writing is really good. It makes you pity everyone, including the antagonists, love the nuance. The character developments are also absolutely insane. Everyone is three-dimensional and incredibly human. GAH! It's really good I could ramble about it for a long time haha!
