After the sushi lunch, I headed downstairs to Ji Xiang Ang Ku Kueh (吉祥红龟粿). I know they are famous for the Ang Ku Kueh or Red Tortoise Cake but I decided to try the colourful Steamed Tapioca Cake (蒸木薯糕) or Cassava Kueh (Kueh Ubi Kayu) for a change. #Cochlospermum fraseri is a shrub or small tree occurs in WA’s Kimberley and NT’s top end regions. Flowers in dry season and fruits have cotton-like fibres when ripe. Wonder why it is not found in northern QLD.

Melicope elleryana , the Pink Euodia or Pink Doughwood, is a beautiful medium-sized rainforest tree from the citrus family of Rutaceae. The numerous small pink flowers bloom in summer. Although not fragrant like most other Rutaceae plants, they are the favourite food of the Ulysses butterfly and many native birds. It occurs in northern Australia, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and SE Asia.
