Congratulations 洪佩瑜 Pei-Yu Hung! =D

Saw this earlier on TaiwanPlus News twitter: Best New Artist goes to Pei-Yu Hung! This is her first award of the night. She’s nominated for 8 GMAs, the most among all nominees this year. She launched her career 10 years ago, but only released her 1st studio album in 2022.

Some nice covers I’ve seen recently.  =D

First up, 蕭名棻 Amusing Amy (w/朱建杰 Jimmy Chu on guitar) covering a Queen Wei 魏如昀 song, written by 于京延 Agwen Yu (aka Rare Yu)

Next, 黃宇寒 Han on a Hakka singing show called 鬧熱打擂台, with a cover of a song by 邱幸儀Sinco  (there is an interview segment after the song)

Let’s hear some more new tunes! =D

First up, the band 沉霧 Chen Wu (邱千豪 EHTD-drums, 黃昱銘 Yu-Ming-bass, 林明翰 LMH-gtr, 洪苡芮 Ire-vocal/gtr/songwriter.)  They formed 2017, and I think they are based in Kaohsiung/Pingtung?   Slow-building ballad with a soaring vocal.  =)

Next, another sweet ballad, this is singer-songwriter 黃宇寒 Han:
