Bu dizi; Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon dizisinin aynı evreninde geçen, aynı ailenin soyundan gelen başka bir aileyi anlatıyor. Öncelikle şunu söylemeliyim, daha önce diziden bahsederken yeterince açık söyledim mi hatırlamıyorum ama kaç dizi izlersem izyeyeylim kore dizileri listemde hep ilk 10’umda olacak bir diziydi. Bu nedenledir ki “spin off” duyurulduğu zaman beklentim çok yüksekti. Ancak ve ancak iki dizi arasındaki devasa fark çok büyük bir hayal kırıklığı oldu. Do Bong-Soon absürt bir dizi olmasına rağmen öyle tatlı içinize işliyordu ki sevmemeniz mümkün değildi. Hele ki anlatılan aşk, izlediğimiz minmin ve bongbong çifti hala benim bir numaramdır. Neyse burda konuşacağımız dizi bu değil, o muhteşem “çatı sahnesi” diyip susuyorum.

Velasıl kelam bu dizi onların familyasından gelen başka güçlü kadınları anlatıyor. Kadınlar diyorum çünkü birden fazlaydılar.  Bu kez başrolde, genetik bir miras olarak inanılmaz fiziksel güce sahip olan başka bir kadın, Nam-Soon (Lee Yoo-Mi) vardı. Nam-Soon, çocukken gittikleri bir gezi sırasında Moğolistanda kayboluyor ve yıllarca bulamıyorlar. Anne baba bu olay sonrasında uzaklaşıyor, ama kızlarını aramaktan hiç vazgeçmiyorlar. Anne kızının kendisi gibi güçlü olduğunu bildiği için sürekli güç yarışmaları düzenliyor. Bu sırada kaybolan kızımız büyüyor onu büyüten Moğol ailesinin izniyle gerçek ailesini bulmak için Güney Kore’ye geri dönüyor. Ailesine kavuşmasıyla da işler karışıyor, çünkü kendisini büyük bir suç çetesinin peşine düşerken buluyor. Hikaye, onun güçlü olduğu kadar absürt bir dünyada yolunu bulmaya çalışmasını konu alıyor.

Nam-Soon’un annesi Hwang Geum-Joo (Kim Jung-Eun) ve büyükannesi Gil Joong-Gan (Kim Hae-Sook), bu genetik gücün önceki taşıyıcıları olarak hikayeye güçlü bir aile dinamiği ekliyor. Bir yandan bu üç kuşak kadın arasındaki ilişkiler mizahi bir şekilde ele alınırken, diğer yandan hikaye suç dünyasına doğru genişliyor. İlk dizide anne gücünü kaybettiği için tek güçlü karakterimiz vardı. Bu sefer bu sıradışı özellik bir tık sıradanlaşmıştı. Güçlü kadın konusunu biraz değersizleştirmişler gibiydi. Bu durumu beğendiğimi söyleyemeyeceğim. Burada da gücünü kaybetmiş olmsaydılar o zamanda tekrara gireceklerdi. Yani farklı bir düzenleme yapabilirlerdi. Büyük anne yerine büyük baba olabilirdi.

Nam-Soon’a eşlik eden Kang Hee-Sik (Ong Seong-Wu), işini ciddiyetle yapan bir dedektif. Suçlarla mücadele ederken Nam-Soon’un hayatına dahil oluyor ve aralarında bir bağ oluşuyor. Kang Hee-Sik’in dürüstlüğü ve Nam-Soon’un saf enerjisi arasında tatlı bir denge kurulmaya çalışılsa da hikayenin akışı bunu yeterince derinleştiremiyor. Nam-Soon'un cesur ve komik doğası, onun öne çıkan yanı. Lee Yoo-Mi, karaktere enerjik bir dokunuş katmayı başarmış olsa da, senaryonun sığlığı bazen oyunculuğunun önüne geçmiş gibi hissettiriyor.

Nam-Soon'un ailesinde güçlü kadınlar geleneği sürüyor ve bu gelenek, özellikle anne ve büyükannenin sahneleriyle oldukça vurgu yapılarak gözümüze sokuluyor. Nam-Soon’un karşısında yer alan, polis memuru Kang Hee-Sik (Ong Seong-Wu), biraz daha ciddi bir kontrast oluşturuyor. Ong Seong-Wu, karakteri oldukça ya da olabildikçe ortaya koymuş olsa da Nam-Soon ile arasındaki kimya, ilk serideki Min-Min ve Bong-Bong kadar etkileyici olamamış.

Dizinin en güzel sürprizi, Do Bong-Soon (Park Bo-Young) ve Ahn Min-Hyuk’un (Park Hyung-Sik) cameo sahnesiydi. Bu sahne, nostaljik bir keyif sundu ve açıkçası, izlerken yüzümde kocaman bir gülümseme bıraktı. Dizininde tek güzel yanıydı diyebilirim.

Dizinin kötü adamı Ryu Si-O (Byeon Woo-Seok) ise ilginç bir detay olmuştu. Kendisi kötü adam rolüyle ekrana sağlam bir kapat attı. Kötü bir diziyle de olsa kendini farkettirmeyi başarıp burdan yürümeye başladı diyebilirim. Dizideki mizah unsurları ilk başlarda eğlenceliydi, ama bir süre sonra tekrara düştü. Ayrıca, karakterlerin hikaye boyunca gösterdiği gelişim yetersizdi. Kang Hee-Sik’in dedektif olarak potansiyeli yüksekti, ancak dizideki rolü bu potansiyeli tam anlamıyla sergileyemedi. Nam-Soon’un güçlü olmasına rağmen karakter derinliğinin eksik kalması ise dizinin genel tonunu zayıflattı.

Röportajlarda, yapım ekibi dizinin evrensel bir eğlence unsuru yaratmayı hedeflediğini ve ilk dizinin başarısını farklı bir dinamikle devam ettirmek istediğini söylüyordu. Ancak bu dinamik, seriyi güçlü kılan duygusal bağları geride bırakmış gibi hissettirdi. Genel olarak, Strong Girl Nam-Soon, absürt komediyle keyifli vakit geçirmek isteyenler için hafif bir izleme deneyimi sunuyor. Ancak, ilk seriyi çok sevenler için beklentileri karşılamakta zorlanmış gibi görünüyor.

This drama takes place in the same universe as Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon and follows a different branch of the same powerful family. First off, I’m not sure if I’ve ever said it clearly enough before, but Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon is a show that will always be in my personal top 10 no matter how many Korean dramas I watch. That’s why, when a spin-off was announced, my expectations were sky-high. Unfortunately, the huge gap between the two series ended up being a major disappointment. While Do Bong-Soon was absurd in tone, it was so irresistibly sweet and heartfelt that it was impossible not to love. And let’s not even get started on the romance—Min-Min and Bong-Bong are still my number one couple. Anyway, this isn’t about that masterpiece. I’ll just say “the rooftop scene” and move on.

So here we are, with a new story about other strong women from the same lineage. Yes—women, plural. This time, the lead is Nam-Soon (Lee Yoo-Mi), who inherits the family’s superhuman strength. As a child, she disappears during a trip to Mongolia and remains lost for years. Her parents drift apart after the incident but never stop searching for her. Knowing her daughter is likely as strong as she is, her mother even starts organizing strength competitions. Meanwhile, Nam-Soon grows up and, with her Mongolian family's blessing, returns to South Korea to find her real parents. Once reunited, things spiral quickly as she ends up entangled in a dangerous crime ring. The show follows her journey navigating this bizarre world—equal parts strength and absurdity.

Nam-Soon’s mother, Hwang Geum-Joo (Kim Jung-Eun), and grandmother, Gil Joong-Gan (Kim Hae-Sook), are previous holders of this genetic power, and they add a strong family dynamic to the story. While the relationship between the three generations of women is presented with humor, the narrative also expands into crime-fighting territory. In the original series, only one character had super strength due to the mother losing her power. Here, the superpower feels a bit less special. It almost cheapens the idea of a “strong woman” by making it too common. I wasn’t a fan of this shift. Then again, if they hadn't taken away someone’s powers again, it would’ve felt repetitive—still, there could’ve been a better balance. For instance, having a grandfather in the mix instead of another grandmother might have helped.

Kang Hee-Sik (Ong Seong-Wu) is the serious detective who crosses paths with Nam-Soon. As he works to take down criminals, he also forms a bond with her. The show tries to balance Kang Hee-Sik’s honesty with Nam-Soon’s naive energy, but the plot doesn’t develop this connection deeply enough. Nam-Soon’s fearless and quirky nature is her most defining trait, and while Lee Yoo-Mi brings lively energy to the role, the shallow writing at times overshadows her efforts.

The tradition of strong women continues within Nam-Soon’s family, and the show really makes sure you don’t forget it—especially through her mother and grandmother’s scenes. Kang Hee-Sik, as a more grounded counterpoint, adds contrast, but the chemistry between him and Nam-Soon never comes close to the iconic Min-Min and Bong-Bong dynamic from the original. Ong Seong-Wu did what he could with the role, but the spark just wasn’t there.

The best moment of the series, hands down, was the cameo by Do Bong-Soon (Park Bo-Young) and Ahn Min-Hyuk (Park Hyung-Sik). That nostalgic scene brought such pure joy—I couldn’t stop smiling while watching. Honestly, I’d say it was the only truly great part of the show.

The villain Ryu Si-O (Byeon Woo-Seok) was an interesting addition. He made a strong impression with his role as the bad guy. Despite the series being weak overall, he managed to stand out, and I’d say this performance became a bit of a breakout moment for him. The humor, while fun at first, started to feel repetitive as the episodes went on. Character development also fell flat. Kang Hee-Sik had great potential as a detective, but the script didn’t let him fully shine. And even though Nam-Soon was physically strong, the lack of depth in her character weakened the show's overall impact.

In interviews, the production team said they aimed to create a universally enjoyable piece of entertainment and wanted to continue the success of the original show with a different dynamic. But that shift seems to have lost the emotional depth that made the original so powerful. Overall, Strong Girl Nam-Soon offers a light, absurd comedy for those looking to pass time with something easy and silly. However, for those who deeply loved the first series, this spin-off may struggle to live up to expectations.

ピョンウソクさん漫画から出てきたような顔の小ささに圧倒されましたが、他のドラマの予告とかと見ると全く別人のようで、表情の変化がすごすぎます

やや中弛み感、最後の謎の終わり方、麻薬に引っ張られすぎ感あったけど、総合的には満足！！
