Storyline:

She resolves to go to America as well, and get better life. However, what she finds in America is far worse than she could ever imagine. Her sister is not only not getting married, but is also not at university, and is earning money working as a waitress, and maybe some shadier side jobs as well. After her sister notices her, they have a fight, she takes all of Cha Eun Sang’s money and runs off, leaving her to cry and gather her broken dreams of the pavement. This entire exchange is observed by mysterious Kim Tan, who has completely different set of problems, but decides to take Cha Eun Sang’s problems on, as well. At first reluctant to go with a guy who seems all to well acquainted with LAPD, she agrees to go with him simply so to not spend the night on the street. Kim Tan who is same age as her, leaves with no parents around, in a big, luxurious house, which makes her immediately assume he’s a drug dealer. Instead of calming her down, he suggest he might also be dealing in human organs to support this life style. Meanwhile in Korea, we see group of privileged, spoiled high schoolers, the future 1% of Korean society, who all seem to be familiar with Kim Tan, and not many of them are fond of him. Review:

The Heirs seemed more like a BoF with different cast. Female lead is always crying, Kim Tan looked expression less most of the time, and their romance was too boring to watch. Plot was predictable. It had nothing special to offer except the Krystal couple and the character development of Kim woo bin. Lavish setting and expensive wardrobe could aide you to get some ideas for yourself, that’s all. Don’t waste your time in this K drama by devoting 4 hours a day. It is of no good. And I did not get how the hell the lead pair was able to run from Malibu to Hollywood as though they are just few steps away. Logic of the writer went to the ocean.

Romantic, excited and dramatic but always funny. The Korean dramas are the master of different feelings, thoughts and unexpected moments so-called plot twist.

Fighting is the motto, and that you can see in many series. Roughly it’s always the same but the story and the characters are changed.

The most famous series are often doctor dramas. A beautiful women save the life of some important people, maybe militaries, politicians or the main character.

But Korea understand their craft. The camera management is fantastic, the quality unbelievable and the actors are made for it.

Which Korean dramas are good for beginners?

It’s the most question I read on the Internet. I think there isn’t any series just for beginners. Maybe it should be good at the beginning to know the greetings and some Korean colloquial words.

Korean greetings?

Yes! I’m sure you heard some words like Oppa or Hyung if you watched a series or if you watched some Kpop videos on Youtube. Here are some greetings (It’s a small list but there are some more.):

오빠 (Oppa)  = females to older males

형 (Hyung)  = males to older males

언니 (Unni)  = females to older females  

 동생 (Dongsaeng)   = females | males to younger person

선배  (Sunbae)   = females | males to senior     (more experience in same school | work)

아저씨 (Ahjussi) = middle-aged man

You said you have to know some colloquial words which words do you mean?

Don’t worry, I write down a few words for the next time and explain it. The most two colloquial words are 「Aigoo」 and 「Aish」. Both are similar like shit but not the same. They have different meanings and usings.

And which dramas would you recommend if you know the background in Korean?

I watch the series with subtitles. On this website you can watch many dramas in with different subtitles. For some of these dramas you have to pay but it’s really cheap, don’t worry! Here are some of them, I really like:

Storyline:

Cha Eun Sang and her disabled mother both have to work hard, humiliating jobs, in order to support her older sister who’s at university in America. However one day, Cha Eun Sang learns that her sister is about to get married, and realizes she’ll never return to Korea, so she’ll forever have to wash dishes. She resolves to go to America as well, and get better life. However, what she finds in America is far worse than she could ever imagine. Her sister is not only not getting married, but is also not at university, and is earning money working as a waitress, and maybe some shadier side jobs as well. After her sister notices her, they have a fight, she takes all of Cha Eun Sang’s money and runs off, leaving her to cry and gather her broken dreams of the pavement. This entire exchange is observed by mysterious Kim Tan, who has completely different set of problems, but decides to take Cha Eun Sang’s problems on, as well. At first reluctant to go with a guy who seems all to well acquainted with LAPD, she agrees to go with him simply so to not spend the night on the street. Kim Tan who is same age as her, leaves with no parents around, in a big, luxurious house, which makes her immediately assume he’s a drug dealer. Instead of calming her down, he suggest he might also be dealing in human organs to support this life style. Meanwhile in Korea, we see group of privileged, spoiled high schoolers, the future 1% of Korean society, who all seem to be familiar with Kim Tan, and not many of them are fond of him. Review:

The heirs seemed more like a BoF with different cast. Female lead is always crying, Kim Tan looked expression less most of the time, and their romance was too boring to watch. Plot was predictable. It had nothing special to offer except the Krystal couple and the character development of Kim woo bin. Lavish setting and expensive wardrobe could aide you to get some ideas for yourself, that’s all. Don’t waste your time in this K drama by devoting 4 hours a day. It is of no good. And I did not get how the hell the lead pair was able to run from Malibu to Hollywood as though they are just few steps away. Logic of the writer went to the ocean.
