Who was the first Transformer to appear in animation? As Transformers were cobbled together from several different toy lines that were animated at different points, this question is challenging to answer. But one outside the box possible candidate is none other than Inferno, the Autobot who turned into a firetruck.

Just before the debut of the Transformers animated show in 1984, in South Korea, Inferno was used as the physical inspiration (ripped off may be a better term) for a Korean animated series known as "Phoenix King" (불사조 로보트 피닉스킹) where a robot that turns into a fire truck has to defeat alien invaders. At the time, it was very unusual for any entertainment to be made in South Korea, so they often borrowed from Japanese sources. There is a thriving trade of Korean knockoffs of Japanese merchandise, as trade between the two nations is restricted to encourage the growth of homegrown South Korean industries. The best example of this would be how the Sega Genesis was known in South Korea as the "Super Aladdin Boy." Sharp eyes can probably spot other robot designs used in other Japanimation series: some of the evil robots have an uncanny resemblance to Mazinger Z.

✰ SHiNiNG ON MY ONCE DARK HEART   ⋆ ── the perfect mixture of an intriguing concept and built from the scathing whispers of a past girl group, PHOENIX ( 불사조 ) are the second girl group conglomerate to come out of L♡UVIX AUDIO, a direct result of the blow up mess which was the disbandment of the company's first girl group, a tragedy that is as interesting as it is bizarre. the twelve piece ensemble were indeed not supposed to debut, courtesy of L♡UVIX AUDIO's notoriety for debuting boy groups in comparison to girl groups, after the 2011 incident, the company became weary of debuting a girl group again, but they turned out to be not a liability, but an asset.

PHOENIX's creative director is one KWAK SEOLHEE, a woman who often carries controversy with her name. despite the very clear burden she puts on L♡UVIX AUDIO every time she's caught out with yet another unknown woman in the wee hours of the night, there is no doubt that she had an imaginative mind. the concept for the group was originally conceived in 2017, but with no desire for the company to debut a girl group at the time, it was put on the back burner. it wasn't until late 2019 that the concept would then be brought back to the spotlight, and SEOLHEE would be put forward as a creative director for L♡UVIX AUDIO's new girl group project.

the group's debut would come out of nowhere, being deemed 'rushed' even with the concept having been thought up for the past four years. more than half the members weren't familiar faces except for a certain few, but even then, they were only familiar because of the scandals attached to their names (though most of the 'scandals' simply consisted of said members having big mouths or simply partners that told their information to the nearest news outlet). still, there was a smudge of hope.. if you could even call it a smudge. their concept seemed promising, and so did the stories which promised to follow, so even with some outcry, there were still some people hopeful for the resurgence of a magical concept in kpop.

PHOENIX sprung onto the scene on january 20th, 2021 with the extended play ‘EMPYREAN’, an album which was met with much more love than their creative director would've thought. their first single ‘DREAMS COME TRUE’, was well received, but it didn't exactly become the sensation their following bside ‘LOVE O'CLOCK’ would. the song would go on to become the groups signature, earning more streams than the title track, earning more music show wins, eventually getting more promotions than the title track itself. though the song was exhausted in early 2021 with the many times it blared through the members' ears, it has become a staple in what the groups sound is known for.

not only is the music there to stay for, the groups inner lore is also the hook that draws people in. the group is split into two subunits related to the storyline presented in their music videos. the groups first subunit LUMIS ( 루미스 ) consisting of the white magis or the good guys, who you usually should be rooting for.. if not for the questionable decisions they make in the story, and the groups second subunit LUCID ( 맑은 ) which consists of the black magis or the bad guys, but the story makes it clear that this all isn't exactly black or white, exploring the moralities of the characters deemed 'good' and the ones deemed 'bad', showing how it never really is that simple.

PHOENIX saw resounding success after their third mini album ‘HANG THE STARS’ paired with the lead single ‘LA LA LOVE’, the album that really proved they wouldn't go down in two years like their predecessors. recently ‘D-D-DANCE’ has taken over as their most streamed single to date, but if there's one thing the group has proven to those who've stayed, it's that they constantly outdo themselves every single time, and every single time it will hit (hit harder than the punches they exchange in music videos, i'm serious!).

recently, the group has achieved the one thing no other L♡UVIX AUDIO group has ever done, they got their own video game. an action adventure game called ‘NIX: WINGS OF FIRE’, a game that follows the storyline in their music videos, the only difference being you can choose whether to be the 'good guy' or the 'bad guy'. the game, like their music videos, explore the moralities of the characters, characters we aren't sure if we should be rooting for or against. the game also contains voice acting for the members, who all play original characters reminiscent of themselves.

with the group now having past their two year anniversary, they are now L♡UVIX AUDIO's proof that, if given enough effort, girl groups indeed can work. it doesn't mean that the group is without controversy, and it also doesn't mean their treated any different from their company siblings, but we can't get into that now! we'd be here for hours.

so whether your drawn because of the magical tunes, the concept, or just enjoy watching a bunch of witches beat each other's asses while catchy kpop songs play in the background, PHOENIX will always be there to entertain you.. and say something out of line. still, there is no need to worry, you'll never be bored while you stan them.

Si tu es encore un.e non initié.e de ce genre que je sur-kiffe��j'ai nommé, les dramas ! Tu ne peux pas débuter, par n’importe quel drama au hasard ! Pourquoi ? Parce que tous les dramas ne sont pas bons, comme pour chaque genre t��lévisuel ou cinématographique. Certains dramas sont plein de clichés et pourraient te donner, une mauvaise vision d’ensemble de ce qui existe.

C’est pourquoi, j’ai voulu te proposer ici, un guide pratique, par genre de drama, pour te permettre de te faire une idée générale, de la diversité des styles et des thèmes abordés. Cela te permettra de déterminer assez rapidement ta préférence et ou d’apprécier toute la diversité qu’offre les dramas.

Quand bien même on peut être désavantagé dans la vie, avec du travail, de la détermination et les bonnes rencontres, on peut s’accomplir. Bonus: C'est un peu la bande de potes cool et bienveillant, avec qui on veut traîner^^

POURQUOI REGARDER AGAIN MY LIFE ?  L’histoire/l’intrigue : Classique David VS Goliath.  Le casting : Park Seo Jun, Lee Gyeong Yeong.  Les thèmes du drama: Corruption, apprendre de ses erreurs, seconde chance.

POUR ÊTRE ? Enseigné.e, encouragé.e: La remise en question et l‘humilité sont fondamentales, dans la vie. Toutefois, les secondes chances existent; on peut mal débuter et bien “finir”. Et enfin, la corruption est un Cerbère (difficile de l'éradiquer!).

3. OH MY VENUS

POURQUOI REGARDER OH MY VENUS ?  L’histoire/l’intrigue. Classique opposition beauté intérieure vs beauté physique.  Le casting : Le duo Shin Mina et So Ji Seob fonctionnent bien.  Les thèmes du drama: Clichés, rupture et opposition beauté superficielle VS profonde.

POUR ÊTRE ? Questionné.e et inspiré.e: comment devons nous percevoir l‘amour. Le physique a certes de l’importance, mais c’est la personnalité, qui devrait être primordiale.

4. BRAIN WORKS

POURQUOI REGARDER BRAIN WORKS ?  L’histoire/l’intrigue: 2 personnalités atypiques, qui ne se supportent pas, doivent collaborer.  Le casting : Le duo Jung Yong Hwa et Cha Tae Hyun fonctionnent bien.  Les thèmes du drama: Enquête, clichés, collaboration inattendue etc.

POUR ÊTRE ? Questionné.e et inspiré.e: comment depasser les clichés et différences, pour mieux collaborer.

2 personnalités aux antipodes, peuvent former le duo le plus efficace et finir par s’apprécier.

5. SPLASH LOVE

POURQUOI REGARDER SPLASH LOVE  L’histoire/l’intrigue: le voyage à l’époque Joseon, suite au désir d’échapper à une difficulté du quotidien.  Le format: C’est court, c’est léger.  Les thèmes du drama: Historique, voyage dans le temps, evasion, fuite du quotidien etc.

POUR ÊTRE ? Inspiré.e et encouragé.e. Initiation à la culture coréenne à l‘époque Joséon. Il faut parfois changer d’angle de vue, pour s’apercevoir que l’on a plus en soi, que ce que l’on croit et voit.
