#삼국지 읽을때 조조가 공융을 왜저렇게 싫어하나 몰랐는데 이번에 찾아보니까 진짜 고풍스럽게 돌려서 너무 잘깐다.. 배운분이라 다르네

The title is 臨終詩 (lín zhōng shí) by 孔融(Kǒng róng) in 漢朝 (Han dynasty; during three kingdoms: 三國時代; 220 ~ 280 AD). If you are familiar with 三國志演義(sān guó zhì yǎn yì; Romance of the Three Kingdoms), you might have knwon him in the beginning of the story. This poem usually quoted for who died mortifyingly.

The poem has story. 漢獻帝 (hàn xiàn dì) had moved hans' capital to 許昌(xǔ chāng), the friction between 曹操(Cao cao) and 孔融(Kong rong) became intence. 孔融 had been kept criticise 曹操 with mamy different forms; poem, public appeals, letters and personal statement. 曹操 could not find any reason or pretexts to get rid of him. At the end, Cao cao had confiend the last king of Han(漢獻帝), then established 曹魏(wei of Cao). Doing so, he vanished and killed many Han's retainers. 孔融 was one of them. 孔融 felt depressed and betrayed by Han. Because there are as many lived, summiting to 曹操. 曹操 exterminated, more like wiped 孔 family. This poem had written before 孔融 killed himself. The title, 臨終 means death; the most polite words for one's death.

言多令事敗 器漏苦不密

Too much words ruin the effort, sparse pot would lick without tight sealing.

河潰蟻孔端 山壞由猿穴

A small leak will collapse the dike, a small hole will crumble the mountains

涓涓江漢流 天窗通冥室

Small streams flow towards the river, a window to sky is connected to somber rooms.

讒邪害公正 浮雲翳白日

Slanderous words hurt the upright, passing by clouds cover the bright and warm light

靡辭無忠誠 華繁竟不實

Blandishments without loyalty, so many flowers never fruit

人有兩三心 安能合爲一

Everybody has different thoughts, how would be united as one

三人成市虎 浸漬解膠漆

If three people saying the samething, untruth became truth. Water makes lacquer and glue being deluted

生存多所慮 長寢萬事畢

Too many worries because of being alive I wish just to stop everything then go for slumber.

I don't know why Jin wang would say this? Is it because of the word 天窗? the first part of poem is about the poet feel depressed about nation's ruin then lamenting of no one recognizing this tragedy. Later the poet gave up all the hope and being devastated. The part Jin wang said, also had meaning that the world would know if something worng happened. Zhou zishu leaving him is something wrong to him that Zhou zishu must be coming back at the end. It's all about Jin Wang's obsession towards Zhou zishu.

I wouldn't know about their relationship much as there's not much had been told.. More and more I search about Jin Wang's words, he must had been sincere. Jin wang truly believes Zhou zishu is his 知己(zhi ji; soul mate). 👀
