PRISMATIC Entertainment is a fictional entertainment company based in seoul, south korea. founded in 2009 by moon jiwon.

the first ever prismatic trainee and former member of the failed group XOX, yang eunbi was committed to seeing her company reach the heights she always dreamed it could. in a last ditch effort to save the company in 2014, with eunbi named director, the company funneled all of its last funds into one big leap -- an experimental co-ed group. 

as eunbi’s calculated risks and knack for pushing creative boundaries produced success after success, she climbed the ladder within the company, becoming close with the founder and ceo. in 2017, ceo moon jiwon is embroiled in a scandal thanks to the early, desperate days of the company and is put under investigation for embezzlement and tax fraud. in the face of this issue, she steps down, allowing for eunbi to take her place.

PRiSM (프리즘) is a fictional kpop girl group under ORCA Entertainment.

From 2016 to 2017 the girls would be known as ORCA Entertainment's predebut project, lovingly titled ORCAZ. This lineup consisted of eight members, but was scrapped after the departure of member Chaeyeon.

The five remaining trainees were renamed to PRiSM and made their debut in February of 2018 with their first EP 'Our Secret Diary'.

I haven't made a post on Tumblr about this yet, but a few days ago I discovered a website that has archives of a bunch of prism rush events + a bit more in korean!

Most of this stuff has been archived in Japanese, but as Youtube videos. This Korean archive means the text can be auto-translated to English with your browser. It's not the most accurate translation (as it's a translation of a translation, I have no idea how good the original translation is) but it's a lot faster than holding your phone up to a youtube video on your laptop screen (I haven't tried that before, hahahaha no sir :))

묘한 매력을 풍기며 낯선 소녀의 얼굴이 시선에 들어 온다. '이달의 소녀'. 월간 잡지의 브랜드 같기도 하 고, 홍대 거리의 포스터나 정류장 광고를 보면 10대 소녀들을 위해 새로이 론칭한 화장품 광고 같기도 하 다!

이는 신생 기획사 블록베리 크리에이티브에서 데뷔하 는 걸그룹 '이달의 소녀' 티징 이미지로 '이달의 소녀' 는 총 12명으로 구성되어 매달 한 명씩 앨범을 발매 하며 데뷔한다.

무한도전 다를 바 없는 아이돌 시장

아이돌은 무한한 가능성을 가지고 있지만 그만큼 성 공의 틈은 너무도 좁다. 매년 수없이 많은 아이돌이 데뷔하지만 그중 대중의 시선을 사로잡고 오랜 기간 쌓아온 제 실력을 발휘할 수 있는 팀들은 정말 손을 꼽을 만하다.

그래서 '이달의 소녀'는 일반적으로 데뷔 앨범과 함께 팀 활동을 시작하여 공백기에는 맴버 별로 개인 활동 과 유닛 앨범 등을 이어나가며 대중들에게 어필하는 기존 아이돌의 데뷔 공식과 달리, 매달 각기 다른 매 력의 소녀들을 데뷔 시키는 1년에 걸친 장기 데뷔 프 로젝트를 선택했다.

역발상의 데뷔 공식

이러한 역발상은 새롭���만 그만큼 위험을 수반한다. 성공을 위해서 기획사는 매달 소개될 소녀들의 새로 운 매력을 어필과 동시에 이전에 소개된 소녀들과의 캐미, 대중들에게 '이달의 소녀'란 팀도 각인을 시켜 야 한다.

그렇지만 만약 1년이란 짧지 않은 시간 동안 대중들 의 기대감을 만족시키며 매달 새로운 즐거움을 선사 한다면 2017년 이맘때쯤엔 '이달의 소녀'는 기존 걸 그룹 지형도를 바꾸어 놓을 핵이 되어 있을 것이다.

'희진'의 싱글 <ViViD>

<ViViD>는 컬러풀한 느낌의 로우 파이 트랙(Lo-Fi Track)으로 희진의 캐릭터를 선명하게 드러내준다. 늘 똑같았던 색깔 없던 일상 속에서 사랑하는 사람을 만난 후에야 드디어 내 맘속에 비비드한 색을 찾았다 는 내용을 담았다.

그리고 <ViViD>의 어쿠스틱 믹스는 오리지널 트랙 을 그루비한 기타 트랙으로 바꾼 곡으로 희진의 오밀 조밀한 박자감이 즐겁다.

안녕하세요! '이달의 소녀' 첫 멤버로 인사드리는 '희 진' 입니다.

데뷔곡 <ViViD>로 인사드리게 되었어요.

<ViViD>는 흑백 세상처럼 지루했던 일상이 사랑하는 사람을 만나 컬러풀하게 채워지는 내용을 담고 있는 곡이에요. 제목 <ViViD> 만큼이나 컬러풀한 뮤직비 디오 촬영 현장과 뮤직비디오 감상 포인트 두 가지를 알려드릴게요~!

웃어도 웃는 게 아니야...

처음 하는 뮤직비디오 촬영이라 떨리는 마음에 잠을 한숨도 못 자고 대기실에 ���착했어요.

긴장된 마음을 풀어보려 재미있는 표정도 지어보고 예쁘게 단장하면서 촬영 준비를 했어요. 브이를 하면 서 여유 있는 척을 해 보았지만 사실, 엄청 긴장하고 있었어요....

#1. 비비드한 컬러가 돋보이는 의상

이번 콘셉트에 맞게 색상에 맞게 꾸며진 공간과 의상 이 이번 뮤직비디오의 첫 번째 감상 포인트입니다!!

위키드의 마녀가 연상되는 초록 치마와 빗자루에 빨 간 미니드레스, 노란색 재킷, 하트 뿅뿅 치마까지 희 진이의 다양한 매력을 만나실 수 있을 거예요.

#2. 컬러풀한 공간과 희끼? 희끼!

빨간색으로 꾸며진 거실, 은은한 화이트톤의 방, 동화 속에나 나올 법한 욕실까지 희진이의 컬러풀한 집을 구경하는 것도 하나의 감상 포인트~!!

집한 켠에서 골프 채와 노란 골프공을 발견했어요!!

하나, 둘, 셋 하고 공을 탁! 쳐 보았어요. 노란 골프 공이 향한 곳은 어디일까요?

또르르 굴러 온 골프공이 도착한 이곳!!

바닥엔 노란 골프공으로 가득하고 플라스틱 병들이 천장에 걸린 마치 이상한 나라의 앨리스를 연상시키 는 욕실이었어요.

예쁘기도 하고 신기하기도 해서 한참을 구경했어요.

알록달록한 색깔들을 보니 기분이 좋아져서 아주 신 이 났답니다.

"Be OK~♪" 이 욕실 너무너무 마음에 들어요~!!

그리고 촬영 중 만난 저를 꼭 닮은 “하얀 토끼.♪” 도엄 청 귀여워요. 제가 토끼를 닮아서 희진이 토끼, “희 끼"라는 별명이 있는데요, 정말 토끼랑 저랑 많이 닮 았나요?

# 촬영 에필로그

첫 촬영이라 긴장을 너무 해서 자꾸만 멍해졌어요. 나 름대로 정신을 바짝! 차렸다고 생각했는데 지금 보니 멍~ 한 표정들이 많네요 ㅠㅠ 그러다 프리즘 세트에 서는 저도 모르게 스르르 잠들어버렸어요.
