The day I found out about you came much later than either your mother or I realized. When I held that pregnancy test in my hands months ago, I was in sheer disbelief — overwhelmed with happiness at the thought of another beautiful soul growing into our lives. Now, there are four of you, and you already love playing hide-and-seek with us. It’s an indescribable feeling, one we never could have anticipated in its full magnitude. Your big sister is already beyond excited to meet you; she will shower you with love, and I know she will be the best protector, the gentlest guide you could ever meet.

Earth, the gentle cradle, holding your siblings close, steady and sure. Air, the whispering wanderer, dancing around them, cool and light. Water, the tender embrace, swaying your siblings in your rhythm. Fire, the flickering glow, warming tiny fingers with golden light. Everroot, Fireheart, Riverborn, and Skywhisper — our four little elements, you will turn our world upside down in the most wonderful way. And yet, I couldn’t be prouder. Proud of you and proud of your incredible mother. I am convinced that you chose her for a reason — she is the warmth that ignites your fire, the wind that carries your dreams, the earth that keeps you steady, and the water that soothes your soul. Look at you, my little star… eyes wide, filled with something bigger than this room, bigger than me. You don’t know the word for it yet — snow — but you know the magic. Tiny flakes kissing the glass, melting as they land, and you reach out like you could catch them, like they belong to you. Maybe they do. I wonder what you see. Do you think the world is made of silver just for you? Do you think the sky is sending little whispers, soft and cold, telling you secrets I can’t hear? You blink, and I see the whole universe in those eyes. A universe where everything is new, everything is safe, because I am here, and you are loved.
