Ok, so . . . In my mind I have a specific image that I picture when writing alien genitalia for the Na'vi (based on my own personal preferences, of course). I wish I had an exact image so that I could show you but I haven't come across one that looks exactly like what I want. (There's a severe lack of drawn alien genitalia for Avatar, so if anyone knows of some good art . . . lemme know 👀)

That being said, if you want a visual, lemme give a HUGE shout out to @/Killveous on Twitter/X cause he has some great Na'vi genitalia designs and they have a lot of the aspects that I visualize and I actually lost my mind when I stumbled across it.

I haven't really considered it too much for the females yet, but for the males this is what I picture:

Cocks are retractible and sit inside the body for protection.

The slit (or sheath) is a flat opening between his thighs that acts as the entrance for the cock to come out or retract back into for mating. When aroused, the slit becomes slightly engorged or puffy and wet with a natural lubricant (or slick). It feels good if you rub it or lick it!

When aroused enough, the cock peeks out through the slit until it's completely out. The slick coats the inside of the slit and the cock to help the slide out and make it wet.

I also really like the idea that the Na'vi slick has some kind of natural aphrodisiac in it so that if its ingested (so like by licking slit or sucking it off a cock during oral), it increases the consumer's arousal and desire. It would taste really sweet, I think.

I'm quiet and shy irl and in most online conversations (help me pls the social anxiety kills me sometimes) but I WILL tell you exactly how your writing made me feel and I genuinely hope y'all enjoy it lol

Writers spend soooo much time and energy on their craft. Obviously, this applies to any creative, but I'm gonna specify with writers. It's fun, exciting, and freeing to write, sure - but it can also be exhausting and frustrating and sometimes you're so hard on yourself that you want to trash every single word you've written and never open a word doc again.

And fanfiction writers do it for free. They do it because they love to do it - they love the material that they're writing for, love the process of expanding the world that they've fallen in love with and analyzing the characters they care about. There's no gain to this other than sharing their work with other people who might appreciate it.

This is why you see a lot of writers asking for more interaction other than just likes or kudos. Those are great and we're appreciative - but nothing makes us happier than to get comments or reblogs hearing that the work we share (that we've put our heart and soul into) with you was not only enjoyed but also what about it you liked. Feedback is invaluable to writers.

I'm not saying you have to go crazy and comment on each and every line (although if you ever feel like doing that, the author would probably die of happiness), but just pulling a couple of your favorite lines that stood out to you and commenting a quick "love the visual this gave me" or "this part made me gasp" or even "hot 🥵" would absolutely make an author's day and boost their motivation.

Don't be afraid to share your thoughts! We love to hear them! And if you're like me and the social anxiety and nervousness gets to you a little too much sometimes, pop into their inbox under Anon and say it that way. Either way, it will put a smile on your favorite writer's face.

Below the cut contains my thoughts and feelings about certain issues that I've seen recently that I feel like need to be addressed including hate/bullying, the new Neteyam & Lo'ak rp blogs, and the general fandom as a whole.

Over the past several months, and especially over these past several days, it's come to my attention that we as a fandom need to make some things abundantly clear.

I was a silent reader for a long time. I love Avatar and this fandom with my entire heart and I wanted nothing more than to be an active part of it and member of the community, but the thing that stopped me for a long time was seeing how hateful people can be and I wasn't sure if I could handle it. Obviously, I decided that my happiness and sharing my love for Avatar and the characters with other people who love it as much as I do is more important than any nasty messages I might get and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I think I can safely say that most of us here in the fandom can say the same (although I'm sure the feeling of happiness comes with endless ebbs and flows for all of us).

That being said, the amount of sheer bullshit that I've been seeing on here is ridiculous.

The amount of hate messages that I've had to witness my mutuals receive is unacceptable. The amount of hounding as to why someone unfollowed this person, why aren't they interacting with this person anymore, why would someone write something like this, why won't you write this, is crazy to see. I've seen racist comments, I've seen homophobic comments, and I've seen people being called a pedophile wayyyy to often now.

This is Tumblr. We are responsible for our own media consumption. We cultivate our own media experience.

That means authors write what they enjoy regardless of content as long as they are responsible and tag the work correctly. You as the reader are responsible for heeding those warnings.

This means that if two people who used to interact or follow each other all of a sudden don't or someone gets blocked, it is no one's business as to why it happened. They don't owe you an explanation and there's no need to publicize drama. Do not go into their inboxes asking for details because all that does is feed the flames.

This is supposed to be people's happy place. Our safe space. And instead it seems like there's something new happening every single day.

At this point, we've all seen the rp blogs that have popped up. I'm not generally someone who enjoys rp so I didn't interact, but I saw a ton of my mutuals and others having a great time with them. Despite me not liking rp, it was exciting to see at first. A live persona of one of my most beloved characters interacting with fics that I love? Yes, it's definitely exciting to see!

But then it got not so exciting to see. The responses seemed solely sexual and out of character for Neteyam, a lot of them were really dark and borderline violent. I like dark fics, and I love dark Neteyam. But there are warnings to every dark fic and you go into them knowing what to expect. For a blog that's rp-ing a character that's not canonically like that, it was concerning to see.

We've had issues in this fandom in the past with predators. And despite us all being adults here (at least we should all be), you can never be too careful when it comes to the internet. I am NOT saying that the people running these blogs are predators, but certain things I've seen have raised some flags to me. Rp can be really dangerous when people don't know who's behind the character, especially if things are sexual. Since then, both blogs have created 'About Me' sections which I think is good. So that's something I appreciate.

However, we've also had the opposite problem in which minors interact with us and our content. It's a huge problem that we are constantly trying to battle because while seeing/reading sexual content can be harmful for those who are underage, it's can also get us into a lot of trouble for interacting with minors even if we don't know they're underage. When the accusation that the rp accounts were minors came out, they were sent asks to confirm. One responded respectfully and one, in my opinion, responded not so respectfully. If you are ever asked if you are a minor, don't get pissed about it. It's an important question and you should understand and respect its importance. Just clarify.

I'm saying all this not because I don't think people should interact with these blogs if you want to. It's 100% up to you and I know a lot of people were having fun with it. You're all adults, do what you think is best. And I do think it would be really nice to have more guys in the community, whether they rp or not. My issue with them is more about safety than anything else.

Now back to the hate comments. For any issues I might have had with the Neteyam blog (again, no hate, just my own thoughts), I only ever saw the Lo'ak blog being respectful. Yet, I still saw someone on their actual blog, not under anon, telling him "can't you just leave?". Under no circumstances is it okay to say this to another person. Any one who is an active member of this community who posts fics or the like KNOWS what its like to receive hateful comments like this and you think its okay to say something like this to someone else? No way. I'm sure you know what it feels like to get comments like that and you decided to be nasty to another person anyway. You should know better. Anyone who can say something mean to or about another person should be ashamed of themselves.

For as much as I love this fandom, this is insane that I actually have to say this.

Be kind. Be respectful.

And if you can't?

It's called the block button, people. Use it.

It’s such a good prompt! I love the idea of the blood moon making the Na’vi go absolutely feral. I’m sure anyone who’s spent even a second on my blog knows how much I love primal play (predator/prey kink) and the idea of them chasing their poor victim through the forest is sending me 😩

Like . . . imagine your Na’vi of choice is reacting to this Blood Moon. You’ve never seen this before, how they look up at the sky in both a mixture of horror and awe, because this is a special moment for them, a pure primal and instinctual state offered to them by The Great Mother where they are made to let go of their inhibitions and just listen and react to the urges inside of them. But it’s like out of a horror movie for you, watching how they go from staring up at the sky with wide amber eyes to falling to the ground, almost writhing in pain as their humanity is ripped from them right before your eyes. Their muscles are bulging, rippling under their skin as they crawl and claw at the ground. Howling cries and guttural growls fill the air as their bodies twist against the soft moss of the ground, and you think you can feel the sound reverberate through your entire body. Their fingernails lengthen, sharpening into deadly points, canines growing to the point that they dig into their bottom lip, drawing blood if they're not careful. They're not.

Their eyes are red when they snap their head back towards you, the now crimson irises seeming to bleed into a scarlet haze amongst the whites of their eyes.

Run, little prey. Those eyes tell you. Run, and run fast - because the sadistic look in their eyes tells you they want to eat you alive.

You can't run fast enough, sprinting and crying in panic through the Pandoran forest as you hear whatever thing that's overtaken your Na'vi's body come after you. They're growling - snarling as they chase you, dark aborted laughter cutting through the trees as you flee. The forest offers no comfort - the usual bright bioluminescence and glowing pinks, purples, and blues that usually light up the forest at night are now covered in the deep red glow of the moon.

They've left their bow discarded on the forest floor, their hunting knife having fallen off their body in their furious thrashing during their painful transformation. They don't need it to hunt you now - every primal instinct they have is locked on you.

They catch you in less than a minute, tackling you to the forest floor and pinning you on your back. Your arms come up to keep them back, desperately trying to keep them away, but they grab your flailing arm, holding it still in a tight grip by your wrist and slowly drag their razor sharp nail down the length of your forearm.

Your screams are like music to them in this state, your pitiful sobs as they lean down and catch your dripping blood on their tongue is like a shot of ecstasy straight into their veins as they lick possessively up your arm, making sure not to waste a single drop. Their nails find their way to your collarbone, tongue dragging along the pooling red, moaning at the sweet taste of it on their tastebuds.

There's blood dripping down their chin from their mouth, and it's impossible to tell if it's coming from the twin puncture marks in their lip or if its your own. It doesn't matter, they make you taste it anyway - their hand gripping your chin as they roughly press their lips to yours, smearing the shared blood along your lips and tongue.

Long scratches mark up your body - torso, chest, and arms smeared with blood and their bloody kisses as they work their way lower and lower and lower.

Your heart rate is still through the roof, pounding in your chest so hard you think it might burst out, but your screaming has stopped, replaced instead by full bodied sobs as they nip possessive kisses on your hip.

Their crimson eyes stare up at you, somehow both glaring and full of mirth as they grin and bite at the flesh on your hip, their nails savagely digging into your sides to keep you pinned. Those eyes stare into your soul, telling you that they own you now - and the red haze of the Blood Moon above mocks your fate.

ANYWAY~~ LMAO. I didn't mean to write a whole drabble about it. The way I could have kept going is insane. I hope you like my little thought process here tho . . . maybe . . .

The Block Button & Why It’s Important

It seems like some people are a bit confused about how the block button works so here’s a mini crash course:

1. Someone posts content you don’t like. Block.

2. Someone is being a creep or making you uncomfortable. Block.

3. Someone is leaving you hateful messages. Block.

4. You and another blog get into a fight that can’t reasonably be remedied. Block.

5. Maybe the fight can be remedied but the effort to do it comes at the cost of your mental health or the ignoring of your personal values or boundaries. Block.

6. Any other reason you deem a blockable offense. Block.

In the event that you or someone you know has been blocked, please see the following:

Accept that you or your friend has been blocked. There’s more than likely a very good reason as to why it happened and dwelling on it will cause nothing but stress for you.

Do not harass the blocker. This includes questions such as “why did you block them?” “Will you ever unblock them?” “I don’t understand why you blocked them” “I don’t think it’s fair that you blocked them”. They have their reasons and they do not owe you or anyone else any explanation as to why they decided to block someone. It’s their blog, their decision.

Some important things to note:

1. It is not selfish or rude to block someone. The block button exists for the sole reason of protecting your space. Use it liberally.

2. Someone else’s reaction to being blocked is not your responsibility. You don’t owe anyone any explanations. Be firm in your boundaries to protect your peace.

3. The block button, in rare form, can be willingly undone by the blocker (if and only if they choose to). Other than in that rare instance, the block button is forever. It’s not just a ‘time-out’ or until something “serious” happens. Blocking is with the intention of being permanent.

4. Blocking is also with the intention of ZERO contact with that person ever again. The blocker does not want to know updates about the person they blocked or what they’ve said or did. Stop feeding drama.

The block button is our friend. It’s supposed to give us peace and control for our online space here. It’s not meant to be a burden or caused of stress.

Please be respectful of other people’s decisions and be mindful of their boundaries.

I know I haven’t been active very much these last few weeks, but as the year comes to a close, I wanted to thank everyone that I’ve met on here, all the friends and mutuals I’ve made, and everyone who I’ve never talked to but that has supported me and my works since I started being active last October.
