Amy's sanity is already on the brink of collapse most of her adult life, but what really would push her over the edge is dying, being at peace with it in the moment because shes known it would happen this exact way for years, only to be brought back in a doll by her dad in the moments after (in his mind hes trying to save her, but he has no idea that letting her die would have been better for her in the long run)—how she can feel her body becoming one with plastic and then slowly turn human on the inside, at first not feeling anything at all, then gradually feeling everything all at once. The depersonalization from being inside of a doll would absolutely send her sanity crashing completely.

Amy: when her dad died (though she was too young to understand it fully), and then when her mother died years later—getting the call while she was off at college, and even though she knew it was going to happen both times (due to her visions), it didn't make either circumstances easier to cope with 🥲

Tom: The night he killed his grandfather—though it was supposed to be cathartic because his grandpa was a piece of shit, it was still his first kill, and he was only 13/14. And it wasn't premeditated either. It was accidental. Plus, his entire childhood really was just not a fond memory at all, but most of it has been blocked out

Amy is the type to go wandering outside at odd hours of the night most nights, in quiet ways—gliding into the night, almost as though guided by something or someone, soft voices in the night urging her movements.

A lot of Chucky's dislike for Tom would be insane projection mostly on his own part (and a lot of denial about it). Chucky sees Tom—his oldest daughter's first major boyfriend—and he sees himself, but he doesn't even realize it, so it's mostly subconscious. He thinks that Tom isn't good for Amy, and he's so sure that Tom treats her poorly without ever even seeing any evidence of that, when really it's quiet the opposite. Subconsciously, he thinks that Tom will essentially treat Amy the way he himself treats Tiffany. Even though he loves her, he's always been inherently selfish and an asshole. Tom can be an asshole, but mostly to people he doesn't know—with Amy, he's actually not at all like that, but Chucky spends a lot of time accusing him as such. He's so sure that Tom will hurt Amy in the end, when in actuality, Chucky has done more harm (unintentionally, sure) to his own daughter than anyone else ever could. In a LOT of ways.

And he knows that deep down, but he's in major denial over it.

Meet Leanne Rose Ray! 🌹

The 3rd child/daughter of Charles Lee Ray & Tiffany Valentine. She was born after her father's death on July 26th, 1989. This makes her 8 years younger than her eldest sister Amy (@xotherwcrldsx), and 5 years younger than her sister Tara. She was 9 years old at the time of Bride.

Leanne is extroverted, spunky, and bold. Some would say annoying. But she has a good heart. She isn't opposed to killing, given she grew up with a serial killer mother, and isn't particularly morally good like Tara, but she doesn't crave blood.

Although she loves her sisters, and she knows they love her, she often feels left out of how close they are with each other. She is also somewhat envious that they got to know their father at all, even if only for a short time. At least he knew that they exist.

Leanne was with her mother when she revived her father, and she wasn't keen on the way he spoke to her mom after that. He asked her to help him out of the crib, to which she responded: "I've gotta go to bed." (So that's two daughters who won't help his doll ass out of there!) She later joins Tara and David on their quest to retrieve her parents, Jesse, and Jade.

Okay yall... meet Thomas 'Tom' Whitlock, Amy's boyfriend and future hubby 🤗

Born April 3rd, 1973, just outside of Los Angeles, California. His mother died in childbirth, and his father died by suicide when Tom was only three. Tom lived with his grandfather until he was about 14. At 14, Tom killed his grandfather with one of guns. He proceeded to set the house on fire, making it look like someone else did it. He stole his gtandfather's car, gun, and has pretty much been on the run ever since. He doesn't stay in places for too long, finding it easier to be in one town or city for a short period of time, wreak some havoc while he's there, then slip away into the night. He steals money from his victims, and that's how he gets by. He's a lone wolf, choosing to stay by himself. No friends, and now no family to speak of. Just himself, his car, and his gun. He likes to hold his victims at gunpoint and make them beg for their lives before ultimately shooting them in the head. There's a thrill to him with how much a person is willing to say and do in order to save themselves.

He meets Amy in late 2000, when he drives into her town. Amy, now 19, is living in Tiffany's old trailer and working two jobs just to get by, since she dropped out of college after her mother's 'death' in 1998. Tom sees Amy at her night job—a waitress at a diner he walks into. He notices that her smile doesn't match her eyes, but she seems to be quiet and reserved, almost strangely so for a girl so beautiful. There's something about her that stands out, but in a way that only he can see. So he decides to stay in town for longer than he intended to—just to see where this goes.

Tom has no idea that this girl he meets is the daughter of the infamous Lakeshore Strangler. They're both in for a wild ride together.

Charles Lee "doesn't know he was groomed as a child" Ray being wildly protective of Amy and Tara when they were kids—being extra cautious about who was left alone with his girls, even teachers and doctors, didn't matter who it was. If it wasn't him or Tiffany it was nearly a no everytime, or even an almost paranoia about the idea. even Tiffany being caught off guard by it because she doesn't know about what happened to him as a kid because he never talks about it.

You know... I'm debating on changing Amy's backstory a little, or rather who she ends up with. I might make another oc to go with her, and they meet when she comes back home after her mother dies and she ultimately has to drop out of college. He's a bad boy type, similar to her father in a way (you know that saying about how some girls are cursed to end up with men like their father), but also HEAVILY Lana Del Rey inspired. But hes not a total asshole to her the way Chucky can be with Tiff, but he does end up being possessive with her to an extent. He also will probably be a serial killer too.
