I don't think it necessarily needs to be darkness. It could be other things, too! I think if our quirk was somewhat sentient like his, it'd be a perfect opportunity to compare quirks. Any information shared could help develop new hero moves! 

Regardless if we're a hero or not, I think a key trait he'd fall for is diligence. Working hard to not only better our surroundings, but ourselves, too.

It'd take awhile, and if we're a villain or vigilante, it'd be off to a spicy start, especially if he's investigating us being the former.

I do have some ideas i originally laid out for this for a villain/vigilante!reader with a slightly specific shadow quirk a tad similar to his and vague-ish past accidental murder, but after writing then scrapping it like three times i decided against it for now cuz its a big phat trigger warning and i really wasnt happy w it 😩
