thank you all for your kind words and advice <3 i held out talking about the dewey situation here in depth for a while not cause i was worried about backlash or anything, but cause it just sucks to face head on. putting it down here makes it so real.

i do want to say dewey does still get 1:1 time with us. he goes for walks with the boys (he’s mostly fine with them outside the house), is with my husband in his office all day every day during work days, and gets many enriching toys and games. though still not the life i want for him right now, i don’t want it to sound like we drop him in a dank, dark dungeon and never interact with him. he’s very loved, even if his world is stunted at the moment (for his safety and everyone else’s).

we’re gonna take some of y’all’s advice to heart and hopefully with the trainer and behavioral vet’s help we can come up with the best solution for everyone. i still think rehoming is where we’ll all end up, but i personally need to try everything else first. much love, yall

I don't know you very well yet, so I don't know how apt this will be, but here's my description for the ask thing.
