any tips on writing scenes & smut scenes?

i have like two tips…

one. overall writing scenes, if you’re not used to or want to write longggg 1-5k word fics don’t do it😭. start writing small <500 word scenes and build off of that. example, for my last work “happy father’s day”: i would write out one scene like the cookout for instance and then build the rest.

two. for smut specifically you have to sometimes indulge yourself in the scene. likeee you have to play it out like you watching it happen in 4k😭. reallyyyy get into it like it’s you damn near.
