so uh.. sorry i remade and then literally did nothing HDHHDGJD but the good news is i Knew i would do this so i spent the past few days doing drafts i carried over sporadically so now i have a good chunk to post !!

     “HEY- UH, SO THIS IS A LOT TO EXPLAIN, but... I really messed up.” Starting off strong, Peter— except, he can’t exactly think of a BETTER way to explain everything to Hiro right now, especially with how jumbled his thoughts are and the nerves that have been rising since that fight on the bridge. Not only did he stop Strange’s spell from working, he messed it up enough to rip open tears in the MULTIVERSE, dragging in villains who know... some version of Peter Parker ( a million questions buzzing through his head, and if it weren’t for the dire situation- plus the dampened experience of the LAST time he was ‘told about the multiverse’s existence,’ he’d BARELY be able to contain his excitement ). Even more guilt adds to the apprehension that has already been weighing on his shoulders for months, only worsened by watching his absolute mess unfold. The fault is on him, and right now, Peter needs to do whatever he can to fix that. 

        “Long story short, I... MIGHT have asked Dr. Strange for some help with a magic spell— I wanted to erase when Mysterio exposed my identity so I could fix all of this, but I... well, I sorta ended up RUINING it and now there’s villains coming into our world who definitely want me dead, and I’ve gotta figure out a way to round ‘em up, so, I guess I was wondering if... you’d mind helping me find them?”

    “I guess...in the end, that’s why I did everything that I did. Because I didn’t want to be alone. I didn’t want to be without a family again. okokokokokokokok i just have to say it.... i love the "peter parker x MJ" romance in every universe and they are always endgame to me– but it bothers me SO MUCH that they don't give ned any lines in these trailers. in the movies, ned is ALWAYS there for mcu peter. ned leeds represents home, heart, and heroism!!!!!!!! ! !! !!!! ! i get that peter parker™ is always head over heels for The Girl, but i wish that they portrayed him as a better friend lol

he’s just a human being in that suit !! holy hell?????? strong, capable, funny, hot as hell AND emotionally stable–– SAM WILSON IS A GOOD MAN! OH MY FUCKING GOD!

        “ Not yet. One day I’ll give you a full tour of the Helicarrier.  But for now, don’t go near it. The damn thing is a slow-moving  target for anybody SHIELD’s pissed off. And  that's  too  many  people to count.”

He pulled on his gear and grabbed his keys with  a  less  than  enthusiastic  expression.

“ Enjoy this while you can. Being a kid. Not having to answer to   anyone, and making your own schedule. Once you sign yourself   over to a team like the Avengers you have meetings and   consultations and obligations you just can’t shake. ”

“ Looks like we’ll have to cut today’s lesson short.   You  can  stay  here  if you want, Lucky likes the  company and I just got the TV fixed. But I won’t  be back for a few hours. Tony and Cap always  get into it at these meeting. What should be an hour usually ends up being an all-day event.”

Clint puts hand over hand and signs quickly, ‘ Goodbye Spider, ’

            🕸   ❝      i   ---   alright,     ❞ he breathed. he wasn’t going to start a flurry of questions when clint was already heading out the door of further inquiries on wanting to be an avenger. he was sure that kids his age managed it here and there but  . . he could understand being where he was. a kid with little priorities still trying to swing around and save new york time and time again with little to show for it but scars and bruises. 

the bring up that the tv was fixed and he was cool with lucky was fine enough for him right now. he’d only likely be able to sit for twenty minutes before something exploded outside and he had to suit up and bail but  . .  this was nice for the moment until then.

    WITH LITTLE THINGS LEFT FAMILIAR, Peter can’t help holding onto the few possibilities to get away from it all, to forget about every newscast and article spreading all those RUMORS and LIES, to feel... like things are the way they used to be, just for a few moments. Without many opportunities to do so, however, he finds himself climbing up to yet ANOTHER rooftop— usually, they’re just about the most secluded places in the city he can find, and at least he’s got a VIEW to go with his ‘my life is falling apart’ crisis. 

                                His heart DROPS the moment he spots someone else there. 

  “Oh— uh, I didn- sorry! I didn’t realize someone else was up here so I figured- I should probably jus- wait... Hoshi?” Rambling shifts to REALIZATION as his gaze locks on her, and despite his shock, at least the panic that he might be immediately berated for just standing here subsides. “Whew, uh, that’s a relief, actually, I’m... kind of STARTING to assume most people I run into probably hate me.” An awkward laugh ( Peter that’s not funny ), and despite staying there, his sways and fidgeting make his restlessness clear. “But since you’re up here I guess- I was already gonna- I mean... do you mind if I sit here too?”

     "NO KIDDING! I was just about to say— it’s...even MORE than many questions, more like every single question possible, it’s, uh...” Wild hand gestures and wide lenses on his mask are MORE than enough to communicate Peter’s sheer bewilderment, especially when it clouds the actual words he’s looking for to describe it. “—I mean, this is insane! We...have the same abilities, right? Or are they different?!— we should compare them! That’d really give us some good insight, how’ve I never HEARD of you, though?!”

"YEAH, I figured..." It isn't the first Peter has spoken of shared experiences between them— legs dangling over the railing he's chosen to take a break at, that night on the rooftop flashes through his mind. The first encounter with other versions of himself: alarm turned to wariness turned to understanding... grief had taken hold of him, and if it weren't for the other versions of himself... he has the feeling he never would've stopped himself from drowning. Of course he jumped at the chance to meet even more spider people across the universes— they GET IT, they make him feel less alone. Still, he didn't plan on getting caught thinking a little too hard about it all ( it's a little ironic, how being surrounded by countless versions of himself can seem like an even louder reminder of all that he's lost ).

"Guess I don't have to explain what I'm doing up here then, huh?" He laughs lightly, though the smile is more forced than usual. High places tend to have a way of clearing the head, the other Peter's he's met usually seem to think the same way. "Do you... um— do you ever feel even lonelier here? Not- um, not exactly like that, I guess— it's nice, having people who get it... really nice. But... almost like— seeing all these other versions of you just... makes you think about how there's probably a you out there who didn't make as many mistakes? Probably not, actually, but... I just started thinking too much, I guess, I don't know." He shrugs— he just misses his friends, he misses May. "S'been awhile since I've talked to anyone like this, too, might be that. I really appreciate it."

   PETER RAISES AN EYEBROW, giving Cam a look filled to the brim with confusion about why he’s asking him that— that’s the sort of question that May should be asking him, maybe even Happy or Mr. Stark if they ended up noticing an unusual slip amidst all the crimes he’s been updating them on. “Wh- I don’t know what you— what? My grades are fine!” Sure, they’ve gone down from PERFECT since he started skipping more classes and pushing his homework aside in favor of patrol, but it’s not like he’s struggling with finding that balance as much as he used to. He’s been keeping them up again for awhile now! “Did one of my teachers ask you to talk to me about it or something?— or, wait, is this about that one grade in gym? ‘Cause I have no idea how that happened!” Maybe something to do with ditching that class the most, or pretending he isn’t as capable as he is, OR any lingering injuries from nastier fights, or- 

         “They’re fine, though— they’re good! Nothing’s going on... with my grades, and everything, but especially those.”

   “REALLY?” Peter can’t help but blurt out almost immediately, his eyes practically lighting up with the words from his mentor— honestly, it took a moment for them to even truly register. After all, he never expected ANYTHING like this, sometimes still just as surprised as when he first returned home after a regular day at school to see Tony Stark sitting in his living room. He’s come a long way since then, they both have, but this still leaves Peter elated. 

    “I mean— um, thanks! Thank you, Mr. Stark.” The grin that pull at his lips leaves him beaming, leaning back and forth on his heels to let out a bit of excess energy. Sure, he may have rejected the offer to be a full time Avenger ( wasn’t that just passing the test? ), and he’s perfectly content being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, but the approval between them... it’s appreciated. “You- uh, that’s really nice of you, I...appreciate it!”

   IF HE’S BEING HONEST, that doesn’t sound very far off from something Peter would end up doing in some way, at least— after all, she’s talking to the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man who’s left notes on stolen bicycles, apologized to citizens who have gotten in the crossfire of his swinging, held back his strength in punches ever since learning of its extent, and more. Most of the time, he’d prefer there be no hospital bills at ALL; after all, most of the criminals he encounters, while he knows he needs to stop them, don’t deserve to be severely hurt. 

             But...she DOES have a point there. How is he supposed to train to the fullest if he keeps holding back?

   “Oh— yeah, uh- right, sorry! I mean, I can’t say I haven’t apologized to someone I’ve fought before, uh, long story, patrol gets complicated sometimes— but I don’t wanna end up holding back too much or anything! I’m... still a little more worried about hurting you, though, ‘cause I mean... you’re sure this is okay?”
