It was a windy day. The reason unknown to Linx when Evelyn called him to the rooftop of their apartment,, he wasn't gonna stretch his muscles—he had been doing that for hundreds of days, too afraid to actually jump off and fly because frankly; he didn't know how to do it! Of course, he even made sure to preen, give his wings some tlc(tender, love, and care), and make sure his wings looked okay instead of the greasy and disgusting looking wings he started with—

“ Evey? You called me here—WAITWAITWAITEVELYN. ” His eyes immediately widened when he saw her on the edge of the roof, his feathers fluffing up in panic. Think, linx, think on how to save your sist—her voice cut his thought train off. “ Catch me, big brother, like usual! ” Evelyn gave him one of her smiles, before jumping off of the roof.

“ EVELYN! ” He screamed, rushing before diving off of the rooftop to try and catch up to her; trying to catch her like she said to do. He grabbed her arm, pulling her close enough to his body as he could—trying to squeeze his eyes shut, wings flailing and flapping wildly as they tried to catch them; their momentum eventually slowing, the wings kept batting in the air, successfully holding both of them up.

“ EVELYN— WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!? ” Linx turned her body around to face him, worry and panic in his eyes. His breathing was fast, calming down when she snuggled up to him, her arms wrapping around his neck. “ You're flying! You did it! ” She cheered, “ Evelyn this isn't time for gam—ohmygodsweare. ” He started panicking more now, his wings flailing instead of delicately flapping in the air and keeping them afloat. He tried to maneuver them towards a rooftop, slowly letting the girl down when they were on safe grounds.

Later that night, Linx was standing in front of a very pissed Executioner, his frown visible on his face. He lowered his head in shame, his wings huddled close to his body to try and protect it. “ You had no right throwing my DAUGHTER off of that rooftop. ” Executioner growled, “ But Fath— sir, I didn't throw her off! She threw herself off and I caught her! ” Linx exclaimed, his eyes never making full contact with the scolding ‘parent’ in front of him. “ That's no excuse, my daughter would never do that. Pack your bags and get out, never contact Evelyn again, you hear me, boy? ” Executioner said, before Linx tried to interject. “ But sir, I— ” Linx tried to defend his case, but it wasn't working. Tears pricked at his eyes.

“ Go. pack. ” It wasn't a question, it was a command. Linx nodded, sniffling as he shuffled to his so called room. Packing a bag .. and putting on a silver heart necklace Lynne had given him years ago before she passed away. He exhaled quietly, slipping on the backpack before slipping out of his window, it was better if Evelyn didn't see him leave via the front door. It was raining, and he was flying without a word. To where? Somewhere apart from that house.

“ Practice makes perfect! Annndd, he should be here any minute. ” She turned her head just as the rooftop stairwell’s door opened, revealing a tall man with black hair cascading down his back, an apron neatly tied on his front, with comfortable but yet old looking clothes were underneath the apron. “ Evelyn, come. ” He spoke, making a motion to the girl.

“ I'll make sure to tell him! Thank you for keeping me company, Mister Hawks! ” She chirped, pocketing her phone before picking up the cooler with one hand, rushing over to her pops as she waved bye to the pro hero.

Number 2 hero out and about? More likely than you’d think. Someone has to go on patrol these days and well, he happens to get through them the fastest, y’know?

His wings beat, swirling the air around him as he glided on a wind current, waving to a few fans below, his gaze scanning through the crowd for anyone who looked like a threat before he moved, landing on the edge of a building for a quick rest, stretching out his wings…

Then he turned, spotting the girl, getting ever so slightly startled but playing it cool, pulling up his visor to look at her curiously, “Aren’t you a little young to be on top of a roof all by yourself?” He questioned, hands going to rest on his hips and raising at eyebrow, walking over to her, wings folding against his back “What are you doing up here anyways, kid? It’s not exactly the most safe place for you.”

— Linx actually saved a kitten once, had to get rid of it because of something.

— He taught Evelyn how to cook some of the recipes he was taught from Lynne, to honor her death and keep her memory alive.

— Linx can sleep in any position, upside down? Sure, why not!

>> EVELYN.

— Evelyn is aware of her mother's passing, but keeps up a mask of not knowing to make sure her family aren't distraught of how badly they've hidden the truth from her.

— Evelyn was,, really really wanting to end her own life after her mother's passing, but she saw how badly it damaged Linx’s mental health that she promised herself once he was in a better place, she'd see her mother again.

— Linx and Evelyn have a close bond, they do almost everything together, unless it involves Executioner.

>> LUDWOLF.

— Ludwolf can read, write, and remember facts that his previous life repeatedly did or knew; but he doesn't remember why or how he knows this.

— He can eat raw meat with no consequences, just like a wolf can.

— His original name was Flors, which meant Flowers in Latin! He is now Ludwolf which means grex luporum in his old world’s language (or pack of wolves!)

— He's allergic to cats and had to get rid of any cats linx, lynne or evelyn brought home.

— Executioner cares for both children, but since Evelyn was five; he was only used to dealing with one child. In the years leading up to Lynne’s death, he figured out a way on how to deal with both children after almost five years; but after her death, it all crumbled.

— Executioner cannot drive, so instead never drives and ubers home.

EVELYN loves to bake and cook, she also loves drawing!
