Hours had already been spent spinning across the iced over pond, a rare sense of peace coloring the scene, the evening filled with fanged smiles and relaxed laughter. Long enough that, at some point, his companion had taken to sitting on the nearby bench, taking a break while Dominic finished burning off the restless energy that months of tension frequently caused.

By the time he did, atypical relaxation had managed to seep its way fully into a usually troubled mind. With a final spin, he skated back over to the edge of the pond, cheerfully stepping up into the snowy landscape that surrounded it.

   ❝ You look comfortable. ❞

A few breathes, long enough for Brinley to respond, but not nearly enough to have hesitated, before he moved to gracefully drape into the younger's lap.

      (  Ah, the joy of double meanings.  )

Pale fingers moved to loosely tangle into his hair, a brief nuzzle to his jaw —

   ❝ We really should visit here more often... ❞

A fleeting kiss was pressed into the other vampire's throat, and then Dominic shifted to look at him again, a calm smile playing at his lips still. A few nonexistent heartbeats, crimson eyes fluttering at the somewhat-cautious touches that he was welcomed with, before he finally closed the distance. Kissing him slowly, lovingly, fingers tangling into his hair further  —  his other hand moved to gently snag one of Brinley's, guiding it to press into his own hip in silent permission.

   ❝ I've missed this. ❞

It's a breathy murmur into the other's mouth, barely pausing the kiss to finish the thought.
