gerry/sam/celia is perfect because they're all absolutely hiding something from each other. not once have we heard sam talk about the real reason he's interested in the magnus institute, but if being a gifted kid affected HIM so much there's no way gerry just forgot everything. and of course, celia is looking back & forth between the two of them wondering about the implications of dating a coworker at a job you only applied to to make sure the apocalypse doesn't happen. it's like trying to play a dating sim but half your options are locked. they have to dance around so much to get to the point where they're ready to make out with one another, but they're trying to get there so bad

So in the base plot she isn't really mentioned but there is lore that one of the bartenders (James) is the work dad to the hot bartender. And he's got a girlfriend who is never mentioned by name. Buuuut in the Royalty AU there's a young woman named Erin who is hired as the new head gardener at the castle and while she is getting adjusted to the role, she has some assistance from someone she used to work with at the flower shop in town. And that's the hot gardener!

So basically, Erin exists more in the AU than she does in canon/base but I'm stressed and wanted to design her.

For those that are new/don't know my OCs, Hot Bartender (HB) will never be given a name. That's just him now. He's the hot bartender. He's got a huge crush on Paul (another side character). That's Erin's work son vicariously in main and her work son directly in AU.

Hey y’all, just a quick life update, I started a new job (because the one I got in the summer cut my hours really badly) and so I’m now working a regular daylight hour schedule again!! Unfortunately I’m still trying to recover from working a graveyard shift for three months, plus the new job will be a three day workweek minimum, so sorry if I’m a bit scattered or unresponsive some days!! I’m just getting used to a new job and a regular sleep schedule again! Orders will still be shipped out as normal though, don’t worry! I might just be a little drained in terms of my social and physical battery sometimes.

I think a really really hard pill for a lot of people to swallow is jobs want you to have unprofessional relationships with your coworkers. They foster it. It makes you so much easier to manipulate into thinking your job is your life. You are there to get paid and that’s literally it. It doesn’t matter how much you love your job, it’s just work. People love to talk about workers rights this and that and say you think your corporate overlord is so evil. So why are you going into work “to visit” and help out on a day off? Unpaid? it’s so over. It was over the second you started flirting with Jimmy from accounting. It was over the second you told your “shift bestie” you weren’t actually sick, you just wanted to go to a concert. It was over the moment you started thinking those people care about you more than they do their paycheck.
