Before we met and started writing I always thought her story was one of the weaker ones and you somehow managed to turn her into one of the more realized characters in the game. @deathdxnces : Irelia was a character I never cared about too much, but how you humanize her so much and have expanded on her character beyond what Riot's given us does SO much for me. I know you liked a starter a bit ago and I do plan to get to that, but please do not hesitate to hit me up for plotting in the meantime. It really does help and I promise I don't bite!!

@tealbeats : I know you're not super active on Ez (and I still owe you a lot of stuff actually) but I wanna say I love the amount of his personality you're able to paint into every interaction. You have such a way of making him the perfect amount of insufferable (in the best way) while still twisting it in SUCH an endearing light. I love that annoying little bug and I'm so glad you do too, because it really shows.

@agonizedembrace : Han it's been really nice to reach out and get into contact again. You're genuinely a really funny, interesting, and thoughtful person who cares about Evelynn in such a way that brings out every aspect of her character. The agony, the sex appeal, the sass, the confidence, you just nail all of it and I'm really hoping we can get stuff going soon!

@bendwill : Elder scrolls blogs are few and far between, but Miraak is absolutely one of those characters that deserves to be more written out. We haven't gotten to do a ton but please don't hesitate to hit me up and scream ideas at me, the idea of Tamrielic Zagreus is very fascinating to me. (And also I need somebody to ramble about my Oblivion D&D Campaign ideas with skdfjh)

@kismetwilled : I'm not gonna lie, seeing how you pour effort into your headcanons and thoughtful replies kind of inspired me to do similar with my own. I also want to say that I'd love to plot more and yell ideas all day with you, your style is gorgeous and I find myself appreciating characters on your blog I've never even heard of or are barely familiar with. Seriously Dani, it's top tier and I'm so happy to be mutuals.

@enrogued : We haven't gotten anything started with but I'm so hyped. Rogue as a character has such fascinating potential with her powers, and that's not to mention her attitude towards others in general. Once stuff gets started I'm probably never gonna shut up in your DMs but like that's a constant sdfjkh STILL!!

@lunarrepel : Shadowheart my beloved. The aesthetics, writing, dialog, everything you do with her is SO on point and I can't get over it. I was already biased and liked her after Larian adjusted her a bit during the beta phase of BG3 but still. Man you just nail her and I'm so excited to develop these two out. They give wine aunt energy and THAT alone gives me so much life.

- the Rose sideblog is being set up for real. I have no excuses other than I need him out of my system in some way, can't say when it will be ready but the graphics and icons are already being discussed! I'm pretty excited.

- since that fucker above decided to be as loud as an ambulance I'll have to dedicate some time to write his Carrd, his headcanons, his verses, etc.

- this week, I plan to finish off all the meme prompts still sitting in my inbox/drafts. I'll try to tackle longer threads as well, but I'd like the prompts to take priority so I can trim down the numbers of pending replies.

- the two points above are the main reasons you haven't seen me reblogging many prompt lists or liking starter calls, I'm trying to hold off on taking new threads in general unless it's something that could feel refreshing to write. experience: I started back when I was a teenager on msn / aim / gaiaonline / live journal and evolved to this. It was many moons ago.

preferred roleplay type: Longer threads for plotted stuff, and smaller threads for winging it.

pet peeves & dealbreakers: I like to think I'm pretty chill. I don't think I have a deal breaker per say other than like bigotry. I try to work any differences out. I do have a couple of pet peeves and I guess a deal breaker is that you get a mutual, you'll start talking and getting excited about a plot idea, you make a starter, and it never gets replied to. The person you plotted with stops responding to you. This is a sure way to getting softblocked / blocked, sad to say, I just don't want to pour my heart and soul into something and have it not go anywhere, and if communication stops, it snuffs out my desire to rp with you. Now of course I have some moots we purely wing it and don't speak much, that's kinda different, I don't know how to explain it, but I am talking about those who wants to be " friends " and mutuals, and when you try to be friends, they just don't respond or they take over a week to respond to you. Life yes, I know, but it takes two minutes to be like " Hey, let's talk later, life is hectic at the moment. " It spears a lot of hurt feelings, I think.

A pet peeve that could potentially get you softblocked is liking a starter that specifically says " hey multis, pick your muse. " bc I don't like picking people's muses for them, just throw me the one you feel most strongly about. I have it in my starters specifically, and if you don't pick your muse, im sorry but you're not getting a starter until you do, and i don't mind at all messaging you and asking, and even helping pick, but at the end of the day its your blog. If you like my plotting call, and I come to you, and don't have a general idea what you want, or at least putting input in an idea, this rubs me the wrong way. Why like my plotting call if you have no plots?

and I'm not talking about like vague ideas that we can throw out there and see what sticks, I am talking about the instances of me messaging you and you be like " i don't know..." or " I have no ideas. " That puts all the work on one party and that's not very fair. Its okay not to have an idea, but don't like my plotting calls until you got something, plot generators exist too.

plots or memes: Both are fine by me! A lot of great threads come from memes.

best time to write: I don't think I have a set preference, I suppose when the mood strikes me. I write way more on discord than tumblr tbh.

So I've been feeling uninspired for RP for a while.

I still enjoy it. At least, most of it. And I do still have tons of love for my muses and my wonderful RP partners. So I do like it. However, I think I've been keeping threads just for the sake of doing so. So I'm going to drop some more drafts.

I will probably drop a bunch of them. However, once I do, I will be posting a general starter call for every single muse on this blog. That means, feel free to request the same muse that you had the other thread with. That's fine with me. (Or you can ask for someone completely different. It's up to you.)

But I just need to, for my own enjoyment, drop a bunch of drafts. Note that dropping a thread/draft does NOT mean dropping the connection/relationship between our muses. Never does. It just means I've lost inspiration for that particular interaction, and need something new & fresh to inspire me.

I genuinely love RPing. Mostly. I really do.

i love my muses. I love writing. I love my RP partners. I do.

But the fact is that I don't have the time, energy, or muse I once did. And I was fighting against that, thinking it makes me lesser as an RPer, but it doesn't. We're all just here to have fun with our muses and threads. No one is lesser. No one is better. We're all on equal footing in that regard.

If someone no longer wants to RP with me because I lose muse for threads sometimes, well....I wish them well. I really do. But I don't think it serves me (or anyone else for that matter) for me to keep a thread going out of a sense of obligation. Or a sense that dropping it makes me a bad RPer. If someone feels they can no longer interact with me because I sometimes drop threads, okay. I accept that.

The fact of the matter is, I'm done writing and RPing in ways that I think will please everyone else, without taking into account my own needs and preferences. Don't get me wrong, this is no one's fault exactly. I'm a bit of a people pleaser off Tumblr as well. LOL. But I'm working on that. And I've finally realized that I need to prioritize the threads that excite me. And so, I will. I have plenty of those.

That being said, me dropping one (or more) of your threads does NOT necessarily mean we're a bad match RP-wise. In most cases, it just means I've lost inspiration for that particular interaction. But we can always start something new. I'm always happy to do so. Sometimes a thread/plot gets stale, and if we start something new I will be more intrigued by that idea. Also, I'm not always the best with plotting, I know, but I am happy to brainstorm ideas with people. I really am.

So the TLDR version is I'm going to prioritize threads that I am actually looking forward to replying to. The rest will be dropped. Note that this does NOT mean anything bad about my writing partners. I love you all and you're all super talented. If anything, this is a reflection of my own lack of inspiration for a certain direction or a certain plot/idea. But that does NOT make those I'm RPing with bad writers. Not at all. You're all amazing writers and I'm lucky to get to write with you.

I only hope that you all will continue writing with me, as I look forward to many more threads in the future. <3

PRONOUNS: She/her but if I'm being my muse you can use theirs

PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION: Usually tumblr IMs. I'm a neurodivergent hermit with only a small capacity of a bubble for close friends but if we click with our hyperfixations or mutuals want somewhere easier to plot, I can share my Discord.

NAMES OF MUSES: Loki, Captain Jack Sparrow, Astarion, XI. I also have some side muses connected to XI that can be requested. I'm considering adding in minor muses/OC's on a discussion basis since I'm now a multimuse at last.

BEST EXPERIENCE: When you make such a connection that you're in harmony with your partner and you and your muse get super excited, but more importantly meeting amazing people and writing epic stories.

RP PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS: I mean, I have far more than I'd like. I'm pretty easygoing, I think, but I have a bunch of things that will prevent me from starting a partnership or leaving it later down the line. If you post a lot of insecure/dramatic ooc it's going to put me right off. If you are overly rude about things I like in your rules or with your opinions on your blog I may get fed up. My brain cries if your muse splices mine's dialogue and forces something to have happened in the past so they can't react to it. I'm also weary of the rare but painful times of thinking I'm getting close to people and then them blocking me without a word like I meant nothing at all, which smacks of backbiting and bad faith interpretations on this hellsite. It's human that we hurt each other, and I'm definitely no saint on that front to the point my trying not to hurt people makes things worse, but some of the behaviours on here I've seen in the past 12 years beggars belief. I'm so too old for this place XD

MUSE PREFERENCE: I have to feel a strong connection to them, and that doesn't mean that I'm like them. Usually I just really vibe and love them enough to want to write about them. They're nearly always tricksters with British accents because I'm a cheat who is already British. I like a fantastical or sci-fi background for escapism and layered exploration.

PLOTS OR MEMES: I like both. I like to see what plot I can spin out of a good meme as it gives a baseline. Plots are good for when you really like a ship or when you're first starting out planning something or if there's a trope or other plot bunny buzzing in your brain you want to share with someone. I'm honestly more open to plots than the impression I give. My limited time means I tend to just go full robot once we have a story going and I bat it back and forth until completion (while enjoying it as we go) but I'm always happy to help inject curveballs into things or skip ahead if a partner loses the vibe for a thread.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: For me, I do shortish to medium replies. I'm fairly succinct and don't take a lot of time to do descriptions, especially as it takes me 30 mins+ for each post because I'm a slow writer. My partners can do what they like and especially a starter can be as long as you want, though I usually get put off by 'novella'/extensive multi para. I respect it but at the same time I feel like a lot of those things are best reserved for if you're writing fanfiction, because I feel like you're not focusing enough on your partner (or conversely you're overfocusing and replying about every single thing your partner did). That's of course not always the case and many writers do it beautifully. I tend to find though that overly long replies run the risk of overstepping into your partner's roleplay space or sometimes causing us to pressure ourselves into perfection. In the end, I think it's preference and time. Roleplay is my junkfood writing, it's not my painstakingly crafted art.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: Annoyingly it's when I'm not really able to write because I'm at work, so I do a couple of replies in my work breaks. 10am to 3pm are my ideal brain times for writing. This makes it hell for trying to get my fanfiction and original works done.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSES: Hardly at all. Some of them I want to be more like, some I'm glad I'm not. I have some of their insecurities and desires. My brain works a little like a couple of them. I speak a bit like some of them (less posh). But I crave stability and safety, I find lying exceptionally difficult (except when I desperately try not to hurt people's feelings and then inevitably do), I have grown rubbish at travelling, and I sadly can't stab or bite people or exit time and space when I've had enough.

yeah he's not the type to go in a corn maze even if it didn't just pop up over night, unless he has to and has his demon butler with him. since neither of things were true ciel had no intention of going anywhere near the maze and he's very unhappy to wind up there. he's not a great fighter and tires quickly, he's got a weapon he barely knows how to use, and will be trying his best to keep himself alive. he could probably use some help, though he would be the type to turn on others to save himself

he knows a magic trap when he sees one and corn maze magically appearing reeks of magic trap. he's very capable of defending himself and even controlling some of the monsters wandering around so he can be a big help if you find him. though he's also very aware of death around him and may be feeling shitty because of how all too aware he will be of everyone dying in the maze.

this is not pearl's scene at all but she is also very competent as a fighter and will probably be okay. she will be stressed rambling the whole time and stressing out everyone else around her as a result so there's that, but if you can deal with that she will be offering help. only one not really open to injury just because she's very hard to injure, but will happily involve her in someone else's injury or death plot

extremely confused and unhappy and stressed! zelda hates things she doesn't understand, and isn't much of a fighter, with only a little self defense training. she'll manage well in some of the more trap/survival areas but is going to have a very hard time dealing with monsters in the maze

i say he went in willingly but that's not entirely true. i'm so sure zoro was trying to head home one day and just wandered in to the maze by mistake, and now has been stuck there for an extra day. he is luckily very good at fighting and surviving, but his sense of direction is absolutely horrible so please!! help him out! also might start fights with other people because like, he just assumes anyone who looks a little strange or dangerous could be a monster. he's a mess

he knows a setup when he sees one! if anyone is capable of breaking the fourth wall of rp it would be shang qinghua who absolutely knew the corn maze could mean nothing but trouble and stayed away from it as long as possible. he's doing his best but is an every man for himself type of guy unless you're one of the rare people he likes and he will trip others to get away from monsters.

unfortunately qingxuan was probably out drinking with some friends who thought it would be fun to check out the random corn maze and now here they are! so unhappy! so stressed! so screwed!! trying to help out here and there despite everything but i cannot promise any actual useful help here. if anything she is the one who desperately needs assistance.

toph, who can use their seismic sense to see blocks of areas at a time and noticed the way the maze was constantly shifting and changing immediately definitely got in here only to immediately turn to anyone nearby and hit them with "well, maze is fucked." she'll be fine despite that tbh and will probably wind up having some fun fighting things, but isn't even trying to get out because she knows that's kinda impossible until whatever magic shit is happening stops, and will tell others this is the case

just went from one autumn themed horror show to another and is extremely unhappy about it!! hopeful that maybe his brother is somehow somewhere in this maze but he's not feeling good about it. extremely anxious but powering through to the best of his ability. he can't fight but he is relatively smart and he really wants out of this maze!! so if that means working with others that is absolutely fine by him

he's excited! he hasn't gotten to experience many human halloween's and walked straight in and honestly, has not entirely realized there's something wrong with the situation. he likes fighting, he spent a chunk of his life escaping a maze like underworld, so he's having fun and feeling right at home. will help people out but will also be chuckling the whole time about what a cool event this is and how nice it is for the city to do it.

this man is unfortunately the case of curiosity killed the cat. he knew it was probably a bad idea and walked in anyway! he's regretting it for sure since unaware zhongli can barely fight compared to aware zhongli, but he does have a level head and a very smart way of thinking, so he'll be getting by and repressing his emotions so he doesn't have to feel shaken until he escapes somehow

Update on my hiatus and return

The comic convention was fun, and I'm starting to feel better after my surgery and have been healing up well. Replies have piled up a bit in my drafts, so it could take me a few days to get to all of them and I'll be putting them into my queue once they are all done. Until then, I've put a bunch of memes into my queue and might also write up some open starters in the future. Feel free to send in and/or reply to whatever and I'll get to it when I can! I do love having multiple threads with people after all! HOW TO INTERACT WITH TUMBLR RP BLOGS

Hello friends! I've gotten quite a few non-rp blog followers on this account— thank you, and I'm flattered that you love Louis enough to follow me here! However!!! This is a ROLEPLAY blog, and as such, there is a slightly different etiquette code than regular tumblr fandom blogs.

Normally I just block folks who don't read my rules, but I figured I'd make this comprehensive post for archival reasons anyway. So! What are the do's and don'ts of tumblr RP etiquette?

DO: read our rules! Every rp blog has them! Mine are linked in my pinned post! You can also find them here! Rules are different for every single rp blog, so it's important to read them to understand what kind of interactions they're comfortable with

DON'T: REBLOG OUR WRITING!!!!! DO NOT REBLOG FROM RP BLOGS PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST, THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE.

The first reason this is considered rude is because roleplay writing is NOT for you. is it cool to read an rp blog's threads and cheer from the sidelines? absolutely! I LOVE getting little messages from people following along and commenting on what makes them excited! But rp is a contained writing format between two people, so taking someone else's writing and putting it on your blog is just....not good! it's not like reblogging fanfic! it feels more like stealing!

The second reason this is considered rude is because rp blogs on tumblr use the notes system to track our writing threads and other activity. when people reblog from us, it fucks up the note count (deadass some of y'all almost made me delete this fucking account when one of my amc salt posts got out and i had like 200 notes to wade through overnight. please don't do it).

There may be certain exceptions to this rule— for example, on my rules page, I state that I'm okay with folks reblogging my non-writing related content (aesthetic photos, musings, etc.). But for the most part...reblogs are kinda off-limits

DO: send in questions from headcanon/character building prompts! Basically, any question set that's meant to be answered out of character, referring to Louis rather than me writing as Louis. Here are some examples of what I mean: x, x, x

DON'T: send in in-character sentence starters meant for other rp blogs! Whats a sentence starter? Here are some examples! (x, x, x) Basically, any prompt that is meant to be sent in FROM ANOTHER RP BLOG, to be replied to in-character on my part. If you send me an anonymous message with a line of dialogue from a sentence starter, I can't do anything with that, because I don't know who my writing partner is supposed to be. These are for established character blogs only.

DO: send in random questions or comments! I do love interacting with y'all and I don't want you to be intimidated by all the rules I just laid out! If you have a question for Louis, please feel free to ask him and I'll reply in-character! If you have a question you want me to answer ooc, feel free to ask it! As long as you're respectful, it's all good!

hey y'all im& typing this out mostly bc i& feel the need to like make it extra clear bc sometimes i& feel like im& not coming off clearly enough & i already talked about it w/ macy where we both agree & this is general & @ /nbh so !! if i'm& sending you a bunch of stuff in discord dms, that's in no way me& tryna rush you for replies or anything like that, that's just me& being excited about our munchkins & their dynamics, you can take as long as you want to reply to me or just not even reply to asks/memes & shit bc it doesn't bother me @ all i& just love writing when i& feel inspo & i get a lot of ideas & when i& do that i& tend to like blast that out bc of a) i& get excited & that's gotta Come Out & b) this is the most important reason but i& have did so i& easily forget so i& make sure to like let it all out before i& forget so i& could send yall 100 asks/memes/starters or w/e & you could answer 100 of them or some of them & i'd& still not expect anything back bc life is obviously difficult for a lotta ppl out here rn, my& own included, you can take as long as you need to reply to my& shit, when i& throw in stuff in our& dms thats literally just me& thinking "oh hmmm this sounds interesting i wonder what [x] would think of this" & just pop off. yall are not obligated to reply to every single thing i& say (although if that happens thats cool) or reply in exactly 000000000.1 seconds i'm& never gonna be out here rushing people. like. I& Get It TM. this blog is permanently on semihiatus & medium to very low sporadic activity, our& writing speed entirely depends on motivation, there's days where i& write a few replies in seconds, several replies in one day or months or even years where i& post nothing at all, there's no in between bc this is a hobby. lmao. like. in my& case i& like having a clean dashboard so i& won't be following back every single blog that follows me & i unfollow ppl who're pretty much cricket silence w/ me for extended long periods of time (this obviously doesn't apply to people on hiatus or people that i Know are inherently low activity or very busy irl or if we're extremely close) but it Does apply to mutuals who like literally Never respond to starters i've written, answer memes i've sent, or people who never send me asks/memes or ppl who Never respond to our threads & otherwise making no genuine attempt to interact beyond clicking the follow button & that's It & never speaking to me ever all while being clearly active on the dash as i've& said previously on my rules, but again on the flip side, i'm& more than happy to refollow sb again if they approach me with genuine interest, but all of that is just to make sure my dash is active & communication is essential which leads me& to my& next point. but At The Same Time i expect to be told that if i'm doing or talking too much bc otherwise I Won't Know. esp bc im& not a mindreader. bc it's happened on occasions in the past in the older days of me being on here like years ago where like sb would like ignore me w/o saying a word (& that's not inherently a bad thing but it Does sting especially bc i have bpd) as to why. like. you can tell me to like slow it down bc you're overwhelmed & i& can literally just write it down in a discord server channel ykwim?? it aint hard. im& autistic & i& also have bpd & did, im& traumatized & there are days where i& just straight up do not feel like doing anything & that's perfectly normal. yall feel me?? tl;dr; if i'm& sending you a bunch of stuff in dms, that's in no way me& tryna rush you for replies or anything like that, take your time, take care of yourself first, but At The Same Time i expect to be told that if i'm doing/talking too much bc otherwise I Won't Know ok ily

Some housekeeping updates

Got caught up doing some things around the house, I still have those admiration memes, which I WILL do, but likely not tonight. I'm gonna be pretty busy these next couple of days, with holiday and travel prep. I have PTO from December 19th-25th, so, I'm trying to get things wrapped up and finished before I'm away from the office. As I'm sure we are ALL aware of, a lot of us in the community are currently occupied due to the upcoming festivities, so, I hope we are all being kind to ourselves and each other, and not taking the slower activity from our RP partners personally; I have plenty of asks, thread replies, and RP starters that I have to write up here, and I'm excited about all of them.

Aside from the typical RP content, I'm working on a few other things on a few other blogs. I'm grateful to have friends who made some awesome graphics for me for two muses that I'm workshopping. One of them is nearly done (he's been a labor of love for a few months now), and another will be put together shortly after.

January, you're going to see me on @seginbeats more often for the Sinnoh New Year Plot! So if you've been missing Giacomo, he will be around again soon. Proton muse continues to be stubborn with me, as he has been for several months now. I use him a lot on Discord, but, he hasn't really needed to be around for many Tumblr plots, so he's just been hanging out and living his best life.

I want to share that I have never seriously plotted a thread as much as the possible one with @firemine -- I wanna do the Jazz Era Murder Mystery with a BPRD twist justice. I actually had started reading one of the novels from the drive I shared before you sent the ask, so I've been in the BPRD groove.

Literally the only time I've done serious notes was the ARK homebrew tabletop that I may retool for discord/Tumblr lmao

@mxthbladed I'm also planning on some timey wimey shenanigans as promised. I know I've been slow to reply but I'm very excited to write more active BPRD investigations.

Also @mandysxmuses I have some plot inklings of ideas for that starter regarding cambions, devil arm research and certain organizations formerly led by a failed Austrian painter and his ilk...

I mean, this is a BPRD-based blog: come for my character's scintillating personality; stay for the cathartic Natsee killing.
