for @malignxnce / devrim where: marzan mansion
Tumblr media
Sanem had never intended to go to the Marzan Mansion tonight. It wasn’t her cup of tea, the whole event nothing but ridiculous in her opinion. And yet... she had been worried. It was not something she admit to anyone, she hardly wanted to admit it to herself. But she was worried that Devrim had been hurt in the aftermath of what happened. And from what she’d heard, everyone would be at the mansion. Even if it wasn’t where she pictured him, there was still a chance he’d be there. A chance to see him from afar and find out whether he was left unharmed. Then she could get back to getting over him. It was a ridiculous plan, but she tried not to think about it too much. She had slipped into a sleek black dress, one with a slit that reached all the way up to her hip bone and revealed a little too much of her thigh for her own liking, which was why she had decided to put on her red leather coat -- and to her disliking, she wore heels. She couldn’t run in them as fast as she would like, but it would hopefully do the trick.
Her eyes scanned the room for only one particular face, and when she saw a familiar form by the bar, she started walking towards it without realizing what she was doing. But after three years, she would have recognized Dev anywhere, from any angle, in any light. She stopped next to him at the bar, fully pretending not to have noticed him as she leaned forward slightly to wave for the bartender and order a drink.

MARZAN MANSION June 11th w/ @midnightmadncss — Sanem Yildirim
Atticus sat at the bar, drumming his fingers against the surface to the beat of the music. A habit that seemed to relax him whenever he was in one place for too long plus these sort of parties were not his thing and hadn’t been since he was fourteen. His leg bounced, turning his head to look over his shoulder in the direction of where Brielle was waiting for him. It seemed like she found someone to chat with while he was occupied at the for some reason busy bar. He turned his head when he noticed someone plant themselves on the seat next to him. “Sanem?” He huffed with a breathless laugh. “What are you doing here?”

for: @malignxnce where: out on the streets
Tumblr media
There was something wonderfully calm and peaceful about deserted streets at 3 am. The sound of Sanem’s feet softly hitting the pavement was one of the few noises to be heard, and if she wanted to, she could entirely disappear into the shadows and not make a noise. But she wasn’t currently out on a hunt. While she always kept her eyes open, she didn’t currently have a target, simply the need to be out of her apartment. She had always been a restless sleeper. Well, unless a body next to hers kept her calm. But in the past six months there had been no arm holding her still at night, no sound of someone’s breathing lulling her to sleep. And so in turn, she had often fled the bed she once shared to distract herself, until she was exhausted enough to fall asleep without thinking, or too tired to make it past the couch. She watched a giggling couple run to a cab on the other side of the street, a silhouette dancing behind curtained windows. Her senses were everywhere at once, taking in the smallest details, keeping her mind busy enough that she would not think about meaningless things. Who cared about broken hearts? They were nothing but a waste of time she’d come to learn. And yet that didn’t stop them from hurting.
Sanem heard the door open before she saw the golden light pour onto the street. She was mere feet from a bar, the silent street momentarily filled with loud voices and music, laughter and yelling. A shadow filled the square of golden light, then the door fell shut and the noises were gone. But she’d know the profile that a street lamp cast stark shadows onto anywhere. She’d managed to avoid it for the past six months, and seeing it now caused her heart to freeze. It was like seeing him now, so unprepared, and after so much time, caused a movie of memories to start playing in her head, and it took all of Sanem’s self-control to stop the images of a picture perfect love in her head. The huntress wanted to disappear, but as his head turned into her direction, she knew it was too late. But what did you say to a man who left you after three years, without a goodbye or a reason, with nothing but a mess of an apartment? She had no idea. Because she’d never done this before him. Because she’d never loved anyone quite like him. And so in the end she said the only thing she could think of that wasn’t entirely pathetic.
“So you’re still alive.”           Because maybe being dead would have been the only excuse she could have accepted.

where: wherever you want who: dealer’s choice / @neverfalling
Tumblr media
Was Sanem worrying only about her ex-boyfriend in the middle of this mess? Yes. And should she be worrying about her ex-boyfriend? Absolutely not. Running into Devrim again had sent Sanem’s brain into the pits of hell, and it wasn’t exactly helpful. Not that her skills were helpful in the middle of a storm -- though Sanem expected everything to go to hell any moment now anyway. Wasn’t that how it always worked on this island? Something happened, and then all hell broke loose. She should be looking for the war that was brewing, but instead she was playing with her phone and staring at the people passing her by. “Fucking hell,” she mumbled, before she pushed herself off the wall and started looking for someone who might know the set up of this place. “Hey, do you know if they have something to drink somewhere around here? I’m going to dry out at this speed.”

where: community school who: dev / @malignxnce
Tumblr media
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” This whole entire scenario was a joke. Not only did the world outside look like she had fallen straight into another movie about the end of the world thanks to nature finally fighting back -- no, for some reason whatever Gods up there were having a laugh right now had decided it would be funny to have Sanem run straight into her ex-boyfriend when leaving the women’s bathrooms at the community school. She had arrived not too long ago, and after declining dry clothes or a blanket in favor of others who needed it more, she had decided to assess the damage in a mirror. Dark hair fell in wet curls onto her shoulders, and she had managed to somewhat wipe away the smeared mascara so that now it looked as if she had gone for a very badly done smokey eye. It wasn’t as bad as she’d expected to look, but it certainly wasn’t how she wanted to face Dev. And while a part of her, a very big part of her, felt nothing but relief at seeing him in one piece, another wondered why this kept happening. Why did they keep running into each other? “You know, I’m one way too convenient run in away from going to the police and telling them you’re my stalker.”

for tommy perez / @moravitris where: marzan mension
Tumblr media
“Are you hiding out here?” Sanem took a seat next to Tommy, crossing her legs as she held back a sigh of relief once she was off of her feet. She hated heels, mostly because she couldn’t run in them as fast as she could in any other shoe, but also because they were uncomfortable. Why did women put themselves through this? Taking a sip out of the bottle of liquor she’d stolen from behind the bar when the bartender wasn’t looking, she then offered it to him. “Don’t tell me you think you’re too old to be in there having fun.”

for @heartofasoldier / fletcher where: marzan mansion
Tumblr media
“You look like you might need something to drink.” Sanem wasn’t particularly thrilled to be here, and she was basically with one foot out of the door, ready to go home. But when she spotted a familiar face, she had decided to pick up two glasses at the bar before hesitantly making her way over towards Fletcher. He seemed to be alone, and so she had stopped next to him, before holding out one of the glasses in her hands with a small smile on her lips. “Are you here all alone? Or were you just left alone?”
