A little over a year has passed since my old life ended, since I died and was reborn. The shadows remain, but only to give contrast to the light. I am no longer a distaff impersonation of someone else — I’m me, more me than I have ever been. I embrace it, and the light.

Urgh I want the England purple away kit so badly. Where did your sister get it from?
I got the 2023 home jerseys for England and Netherlands at Rebel when they had a sale on, came down to around $30 each. Though printing at ultra football is literally more than the jerseys themselves😐
I got Williamson printed on my England one, even though I wanted Russo. The ultra football people made a mistake and I was too scared to speak up. And then that same day, I actually met Russo and she signed my jersey so that’s great… (NOT)
It’s sad that most online replica stores don’t offer the Aussie kits, or when they do the colour is a bit off. I got mine from Rebel and it’s absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend investing in it if you go to Tillies games too😌 I justify it to myself by saying I’m just supporting the growth of the women’s game here in Aus haha
soccer03 i believe (or whatever iteration they’re on with the number). that’s where i’ve got mine as well and i hate supporting it but UGh they’re so cheap and i’ve never had an issue (except them not selling tillies kits)
that’s such a good deal from rebel, i honestly had no clue they’d ever sold the dutch kit. and i also didn’t know you could get them printed anywhere here! that is a discovery. i will definitely bite the bullet and get one eventually. i want clare wheeler bc she’s criminally underrated

— LOST FOR WORDS
alessia russo x reader | masterlist
⤷ just pure fluff based on this ask
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
୨୧
you barely have time to react, or even move an inch from your spot sprawled across the sofa - before the front door practically flies off its hinges, and your apartment is filled with the absolute whirlwind that is your girlfriend.
“i’m back!” she beams as you sit up, coming into her line of sight - and in quite literally the blink of an eye she was dropping her bags and launching herself practically flat on top of you, and straight into a full- blown ramble, barely giving herself a moment to breathe (or for you to even say hello)
despite alessia’s usual reserved nature, you had completely expected and predicted this - as it occurred every single time she came home to you after being around tooney, her best friend’s sheer amount of energy being beyond infectious.
“oh my god you will not believe the few weeks i’ve had, it was insane! it was so intense, like the training and stuff, but it was so fun! my legs are still sore by the way i will be requesting a massage later. i’ve been annoying the girls all week about it apparently - i think they’re overreacting but whatever. oh! and i wish i could’ve recorded the way keira absolutely destroyed georgia in this one drill - she went face first onto the grass! we were laughing about it for ages, even sarina! and the games! babe, the games were - wait, you watched them right? oh yes of course you did i remember you saying on facetime, but i’ll tell you anyway-”
you smile at her fondly, your eyes never leaving her as she sits up a bit, her hands flying around animatedly as she recalled literally every waking moment since she’d been away to you.
her presence is almost electric, lighting up the entire room in a way that made you realise just how much you missed her - even when she’s like this, overflowing with stories, not letting you get a word in, details tumbling out of her mouth as if she was afraid that she’d forget them if she didn’t say them quick enough.
“and millie - oh god, you know what she’s like, right? she dared tooney to-”
you suddenly decide to lean forward and cup her face, cutting her off mid sentence by pressing your lips to hers gently.
and for a moment, she freezes. you feel her entire body stiffen, mimicking a statue, before you feel the heat radiating off her cheeks beneath your fingertips. her hands, which had been gesturing madly mere seconds ago - hover awkwardly mid air for a second, before they spring into action, like you’d just pressed play on her remote - and they wrap around your waist, kissing you back, and instinctively deepening it.
when you finally pull away, she blinks at you, dazed - buffering, almost.
“w-what…um. what was i saying?” she stammers, volume suddenly much quieter than before, her face burning red.
“something about millie and a dare?” you grin, knowing there was zero chance she’d remember it now, thumb stroking her face as she practically crumbled beneath your touch.
she opens and shuts her mouth almost robotically, no words leaving her lips. instead, they let out the smallest, breathiest laugh as she shakes her head, still visibly flustered.
“you can finish telling me later.” you tease lightly, pressing a soft kiss to her cheek, and another to the corner of her mouth. “just really missed you.”
alessia all but melted at that, arms drawing you into her hold as she buried her face into your neck, peppering kisses onto the exposed skin that peeked out from underneath your her shirt.
“i missed you more baby.” she mumbles, voice muffled as her hand moves to tenderly rub your back, drawing little shapes there like she know you loved.
you chuckle, holding her close - bathing in the newfound silence that settled across the room, the only exception being the light patter of the blonde’s heartbeat, steady and warm against you.
-
me and who me and who me and who
thank you anon for this request i hope i did it justice! literally wrote it in an hour and city just drew to west ham so my evening is going FANTASTICALLY! let me know your thoughtssss

For the “A new adventure universe” could you do one where some of the girls for the team babysit for the night to allow r and lessi a night together. Maybe the girls (Leah , Lia , Steph and Beth maybe) just show up and force them to go out even if it’s just to the cinema. Saying that they need time for them :)

Summary You and Alessia have a very needed break whilst some of the girls look after Florence
-> Part of the A New Adventure Universe
Tumblr media
“We’ll look after her.” Beth had offered after you commented on how long it had been since you and Alessia went on a date.
With the pregnancy and then the newborn stage, you and Alessia hadn’t had any time by yourselves and it was at that point where you craved some alone time with Alessia - even if it was just going for dinner and then to the cinema afterwards like you were tonight.
Florence was now seven months and you were confident enough to leave her with some trusted people - them people being some teammates.
Kyra had offered in the past - saying her and Vic could look after her but you and Alessia both burst out laughing, immediately saying no.
But when Beth, Steph, Lia and Leah had offered, you had immediately accepted their offer.
So here you were, getting ready for your date as you waited for the four of them to arrive.
You hadn’t gone fully out, but had still made an effort - putting on a nice outfit before putting some makeup on.
You walked down the stairs, hearing Wren giggling as she played with Alessia on the floor.
The sight made your heart melt, watching your two girls giggling with each other.
“Hiya love. You look gorgeous.” Alessia said, noticing you as you watched them.
She got up off the floor, walking over to you and resting her hands on your hips, kissing you gently.
“So do you, lessi.”
You were about to lean in for another kiss when the doorbell went off.
You both groaned, Alessia walking to the door as you went and picked wren up.
“Hi bubba. Me and mummy are going to go out but auntie Beth, auntie Lia, auntie Steph and auntie le are going to look after you.” You told her, wren babbling away as she sat in your lap.
A smile took over her face as she saw the four of them.
You greeted them all with a hug, wrens legs kicking happily as you rested her on your hip.
“Someone’s happy, huh? Is our little gooner happy?” Leah cooed, taking wren from you.
“Right, she’s just had a feed so she probably won’t have another bottle until she goes to bed. She’s normally in bed for around half seven-ish. It’s fine if it’s a bit later. Her clothes are out ready in her nursery. If you need anything, call me or less.” You told them as they all listened carefully.
“We’ve left some money out for you to get yourselves something to eat. Wren’s Changing station is in her nursery too if you need to change her. We shouldn’t be too long, we’ll be back before nine.” Alessia continued, resting a hand on your back.
“Got it.” Leah nodded, still holding a smiling wren.
“Someone’s happy we’re leaving.” You said, kissing wrens head, Alessia doing the same thing afterwards.
“You two start going, we’ve got her.” Lia told you
“If we need anything, we’ll call you.” Steph added
“We’re gonna have the best time, aren’t we wren?” Beth asked, tickling wren who giggled.
“Okay, we’re going. Call if you need anything.”
“We will. Now stop worrying. We’ve got her.” Leah told you and you nodded, trusting the four of them.
You and Alessia left, jumping in the car as you drive into town.
“She should be fine, right?” You asked Alessia who nodded.
“Love, she’s fine. We trust them.”
“Yeah.” You said, taking a deep breath. “She’ll be fine.”
Tumblr media
You and Alessia had finished eating, the two of you both having a pasta dish.
Alessia paid and you both headed out of the restaurant, the cinema only being across the road.
Alessia held your hand tightly in hers as you crossed the road.
You got your popcorn and drinks, finding the screen your film was playing on.
“This has been nice.” Alessia whispered, as you rested your head on Alessia’s shoulder - the two of you being the only ones in the room.
“I’ve missed wren but I’ve also missed our time.” You said and alessia agreed
“You know, we could always make it a bit more nicer.” Alessia said with a wink. “We could go back to the car. We can always come back and watch the film.” Alessia suggested, a smirk on her face.
You smiled, knowing what she was thinking.
“Let’s get out of here.”
Tumblr media
You both got out of the car, your outfits and hair all messy as you approached the door.
You knocked gently, aware that wren would be asleep.
Leah came to the door, smirking as she looked you both up and down.
“Well well well… I wonder what you two did. Did you even go for dinner in the end?”
“Shush.” You said, rolling your eyes as you walked in.
“Have a nice time, you two? Actually, no, don’t answer that. I don’t wanna know.” Beth said
“We had a really nice time.” Alessia said with a small smirk on her face.
“How was wren? Did she go down easily?”
“She was an angel. She went to sleep at half seven.” Steph told you
“Good. Thank you so much for looking after her, I think we really needed a break.”
“I think we know.” Beth added, inspecting your neck.
“Beth, why are you looking at my neck?”
“Just looking at the evidence that shows you had a good time.”
“Why? What’s on my neck?” You asked, having a slight clue as you saw Alessia blush and look away.
You walked into the downstairs bathroom looking in the mirror to see five buckets littering your neck.
“Alessia!”
“That’s our cue to leave.”

kyra cooney-cross x williamson!reader | 1.8k | kyra knows you're leah's sister, but it's been a few days since and all your messages, calls and voicemails are left unanswered
ˏˋ°•*⁀ part of the daylight universe. you can go read the first part 'daylight' before reading this :) currently five more main parts planned out as well
‘Kyra please. Please just let me explain. Please pick up or call me back,’ Another unanswered phone call. Another voicemail left while you paced around your apartment. It had been a few days since that match and Kyra hadn’t returned any of your calls or any of your messages. Youd restrained yourself from going to her apartment, trying to give her some space understanding she’d be upset.
If you were in Kyra’s position you’d also be upset and reacting the same way. But you just wanted to explain and hopefully Kyra could understand where you’re coming from and things can go back to how they were. You didn’t want to lose Kyra. Work the past few days hadn’t felt the same without your favourite person walking through the doors.
You probably looked semi crazy, your head shooting up or turning around so fast whenever you heard the little bell above the front door ring. Hoping that Kyra would be the one walking through. Though every single time you’d let out a disappointed sigh and do your best to throw on the friendliest smile you could muster and greet the customer, who wasn’t Kyra, who’d just walked into your shop.
It’s not like there was anyone you could reach out to either to see if Kyra was alright. You couldn’t ask your sister, she’d definitely question why you were asking about someone you’d only met ‘once in passing’. You really couldn’t ask any of the other girls either for the same reason, since you and Kyra had kept your meetings to yourselves, enjoying the bit of privacy you had to explore each other in private.
You stopped in your tracks when you heard a knock on your apartment door, ‘Oh,’ Your shoulders deflated and the hope on your face faltered slightly when you opened your door revealing your sister on the other side.
‘Oh? Were you expecting someone else?’ Leah feigned offence at your reaction and slipped past you making herself at home in your apartment.
‘I wasn’t expecting anyone?’ Raising your eyebrow at Leah you reluctantly shut the door. Part of you was hoping that Leah would disappear and Kyra would suddenly appear.
‘What do you mean? We made these plans ages ago, finally getting you to come out with the girls again,’ Leah looked at you sceptically, in a way where you felt like she could see right through you, ‘You’ve been acting strange lately. Am I too cool for you?’ Leah smirked as you shook your head.
‘You? Too cool? I think you need to read the definition of cool because you are not it,’ You gently nudged your sister laughing along with her. It had been a while since you properly hung out with Leah or the other girls. But right now you couldn’t think of anything worse, ‘Can we just stay in tonight Le, please? I’m not feeling the best today,’ It wasn’t a complete lie, not being able to contact Kyra had left your stomach in knots and your sleep schedule was a complete mess making your head hurt on and off throughout the days.
‘Fine, but you owe me and the girls a night out soon,’ Leah slung her arm around you, pulling you close. It was the perfect night with your sister, you really needed that distraction. You really needed any distraction that stopped you from burning holes in your flooring from pacing around your apartment.
Though your distraction only lasted a night and part way through the next day you were back where you were before Leah showed up at your apartment. There was a constant weight in your stomach, which wasn’t eased when you noticed all your messages had been left on read and your calls went straight to voicemail.
‘Alessia, thank you,’ The need to talk to someone about the situation led you to messaging Alessia quite late at night when you were going through another almost sleepless night, which you apologised for when you realised. Alessia, although given how close she was with Kyra and Leah and considering she played with them both, felt like the safest option you had in terms of someone you could talk to.
‘Leah did not mention how you look like you haven’t slept in weeks when she was talking about how nice it was to actually spend time with you again the other night,’ You could see concern on Alessia’s face. You got on quite well with Alessia since the first time Leah introduced you to her, ‘What’s going on?’
‘So,’ You started while you brought your hands up to your face, still pacing around the room while Alessia sat there watching you, ‘You cannot tell Leah, or anyone, but especially Leah,’ You knew it was unfair of you to put Alessia in this situation knowing what you were about to put on her but you just needed a friend that would hopefully listen and try to understand, ‘I was kind of seeing Kyra,’
‘Wait, Kyra? As in our Kyra?’ The surprise written across Alessia’s face wasn’t all that unusual considering the circumstances. All you did was nod while your stomach did flips thinking about Kyra, slight unease overtaking the usual fuzziness you’d normally feel when thinking about her, knowing all of this could’ve been avoidable.
‘Well Kyra didn’t know I’m Leah’s sister either,’ Drawing out your response you noticed Alessia’s slight hesitation before speaking, trying to process the mess you were revealing to her.
‘I take it that Kyra knows now?’ You groaned sitting down next to Alessia, head in your hands.
‘And now she’s not answering my calls or texts and I don’t know what to do,’ If it wasn’t for Alessia already knowing you were the same age as her, the way you looked up at her with the biggest pout on your face, she would’ve thought you were a lot younger. Like someone who was experiencing their first big relationship, first misunderstanding.
The way you looked so defeated and it hadn’t been that long since the match, she could tell you really cared about Kyra. If anyone could see you they would be able to see it, they’d be able to tell that what you and Kyra had, despite never talking about labelling it, that it was much more than just a casual thing.
‘Look, I haven’t known Kyra all that long either but if she cares about you the same way you seem to care about her then I think you’ll be fine. It’s probably a lot to process and she’s not someone who’ll just go about pretending you don’t exist anymore. She’ll come back,’ Trying to let Alessia’s words sink in to give you that comforting reassurance, you laid your head on her shoulder mumbling out your appreciation that she was here listening to you spiral, ‘Now tell me everything, how did you guys even meet without any of us knowing?’
Letting someone know about you and Kyra was partly relieving and partly added a layer of worries. Worries about Leah or anyone else finding out in a way you weren’t ready for. But for now that was at the back of your mind, something you’d deal with later on.
‘Well now I know why you look so familiar,’ Dropping your keys out of surprise at hearing the one voice you had been longing to hear for the entire week. You definitely didn’t think that you’d come home to find Kyra standing outside your apartment, ‘Really I don’t know why I didn’t pick it sooner. Your resemblance to Leah is uncanny,’
Kyra tried to keep the air light between you. But even now while you were both sitting in your apartment you felt like the air was suffocating you. Having Kyra back here as all you wanted, but not knowing where this talk might lead had you stressing. All the worst case scenarios were running through your mind, taking up all the space you could barely think about what you were going to say to Kyra.
‘Hey,’ Over the months, Kyra has come to really know you. To the point she could almost read you like an open book. She had always been able to tell what you needed without you even needing to tell her, ‘I still really like you, you know,’ Kyra gave you a small reassuring smile while placing her hand on top of yours, giving it a slight squeeze, ‘I just want to understand,’
You gave a small nod and took a deep breath trying to collect yourself, Kyra’s hand never left yours, ‘I didn’t mean to not tell you. But it also felt nice having someone who got to know me for me and not getting to know me just because I’m Leah’s sister. Also I was a little scared that if you knew Leah was my sister then it would scare you away. As much as I love Le, she’s scared away quite a few people before,’
‘What? Leah scaring people away? Couldn’t see that happening at all,’ Kyra’s voice dripping with sarcasm while you started relaxing a little, the corner of your lips starting to turn upwards, ‘All she does is smile,’
‘You’re so annoying,’ You playfully nudged Kyra, shaking your head, while you both laughed out loudly.
‘Yeah but you still like me,’ Kyra smiled more, wrapping her arm around you, pulling you into her side, ‘And I do like you, very much. Big scary Leah isn’t going to keep me away from you either,’ Kyra leaned down slightly, placing a soft kiss to the top of your head.
‘Are you sure? I did like lie and I understand if you don’t want anything to do with me,’ If you were looking at Kyra you would’ve seen the look of disbelief she pulled at you. Her expression would’ve been enough alone to convince you that you were being silly, as if she didn’t just semi-express her feelings towards you.
‘Technically, you didn’t lie. You just didn’t say it,’ Kyra leaned back further into the couch, pulling you half on top of her, while rubbing your side gently, ‘And did you not listen when I told you that I like you,’ Kyra placed a hand on your cheek, gently moving your head so you were looking at her, ‘Assuming there isn’t anything else you’re keeping from me, but anyway since I really like you,  it’s a risk i’m willing to take since I don’t intend on letting you go anytime soon,’
You smiled, closing the gap between you both. Your lips connecting with hers, making up for the past week where you missed her touch, missed her being around, missed being close to her. The kiss also said a million words, expressing all the feelings for each other that neither of you could properly say, ‘So you forgive me?’ Mumbling against her lips, your forehead resting against hers slightly.
Kyra smirked, a cheeky grin quickly replacing it, ‘I could be convinced,’

Lovie copying Leah by not wanting to eat her food anymore and only wanting plain boring food and less is so confused until at training she sees Lovie asking for exaclty what Leah is having
to be like | alessia russo x child!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
grumpy masterlist
"lovie, why are you not eating your dinner?" alessia asked as you were sat in your seat with a plate of creamy chicken pasta and some side vegetables all of which you would usually eat and not leave a scrap.
however today, you hadn't even attempted to eat your dinner.
this wasn't the first time this had happened over the past couple of days you'd been on england camp with mummy and the rest of the squad. you'd only been eating your food if you'd chosen what it was to eat.
now by any means you had never been a picky eater. alessia had made sure that you were adventurous with what you ate, always making sure to let you try new foods. but you of course had the odd thing you didn’t like.
"don't like it." you pouted pushing the plate away from you as your mums eyebrows furrowed, alessia couldn't understand why you were being difficult.
"what don't you like?" she asked as she pushed the plate back in front of you, but you moved your face away from it not wanting it to be in front of you, answering your mummy's question by pointing to each individual thing on the plate.
"but mummy makes that when we are at home and you usually love it?" alessia says referring back to the times as you shook your head mumbling a small no. alessia taking a big deep breath as she tried quickly to find a solution.
"what do you want to eat then?"
"chicken nuggs and bread!" you smiled as alessia nodded getting up and going to ask the chef at england if there was anyway he could make you a plate of chicken nuggets. alessia deciding to not bother arguing with you over not eating the pasta and instead hoping this was just a small phase you were in and that within a week you'd be back eating all your favourite foods.
"leah, can you watch lovie while i go change this?" alessia asked, she being the one that was the closest to you, the england captain in the middle of eating her own dinner but agreeing nevertheless.
it wasn't a small phase, and it didn't last a week. it had now been two weeks since the england camp and alessia was back at training with arsenal, you accompanying her on the days you weren’t at nursery.
today was one of them days and it was the time of the day alessia had been dreading each day for the past few weeks, meal time. she’d let you go up with leah and beth and choose your own food, meaning she was able to avoid the tussle to get you to pick what you now liked.
“what you got then lovie?” alessia asked as you slipped in the seat next to your mummy, sitting on your knees so you were high enough to reach the table. beth carrying your plate for you, putting it in front of you once you were seated.
“today we’ve got plain pasta and some bread!” beth smiled as she sat down on the same table as the you and your mummy. alessia mouthing to beth, ‘with butter?’ as beth shook her head.
a slight grimace on your mums face as beth described your lunch, as you reached for a fork digging into your very colourless and plain pasta.
“at least she’s not pushing it away” alessia sighed as beth nodded humming in agreement, it was the small wins that mattered.
“hey kleintje!” vic giggled ruffling your hair as she passed sitting next to beth. you frowning at the dutch for messing your hair up, a peice of pasta hanging from your mouth.
“i see we’ve got a very colourful plate again” vic joked as alessia rolled her eyes at the dutches attempt at a joke. “you do realised she’s just copying what leah’s having, don’t you?” vic pointed out the groups eyes wandering to the blonde who was sat across the canteen and funnily enough you had exactly what leah was having. plain pasta and a slice of bread.
“no way, she is aswell!” beth laughed out loud as alessia blinked once trying to wrap her head around the fact of why you would want to eat such plain and boring foods. but it also making the pieces fit together for the past few weeks.
“why though?” alessia whispered thinking out loud. beth and vic both sharing a look that told alessia they didn’t have an answer before they both shrugged.
“the only way your gonna get your answer is by asking tiny herself!” beth pointed to you, as you were in your own little bubble now being onto eating your plain bread happily as your ipad played out the sound of the show you were watching.
so alessia decided to take beth’s advice and after another battle to figure out what to make you for your dinner that night it settling on a plate of potato smiley’s.
“lovie, can mummy ask you a question?” your mummy was sat opposite you at the dinner table, as you hummed and nodding your head, not being able to talk as your mouth was filled with potato.
“why are you eating really plain foods at the moment” she asked softly, the blonde putting her fork down on the side of her plate.
“i like it!” you answered simply, shrugging your shoulders. thinking that would be the end of the discussion but mummy wasn’t convinced as her eyebrows raised at the response.
“it’s just, i’ve noticed when at arsenal and england camps when it’s lunch and dinner time your eating very similarly to leah ” mummy pointed out as your face was a little shocked, your shoulders not looking a little more tense. “your not in trouble for it, i just wanna know why?” your mummy added.
“to be like leah” you answered so innocently as mummy nodded a pout coming onto her face as your sweet reply.
“lovie, you don’t have to do everything leah does. you can still be like leah and still like all the foods you love” mummy told you as you nodded timidly as a small smile creeped upon your face.
“so i can have chicken pasta?”

A North London Love Story: practice makes perfect (RenéeSlegersXSlegersReaderXAlessiaRusso)
Tumblr media
A/N: there will be at least two more parts of this.
Warnings: Talks about injuries, Google translate used
Summary: you are Renées daughter and Play for Arsenal as well. You are married to Alessia.
You arrived at Training thirty Minutes earlier. Simply because you enjoyed taking your sweet time in the locker room. Alessia was grabbing Coffee with Kyra before practice which was why you didn't Drive together. Plus you might have to check in with the phyiso cause your knee was giving you a bit of a tough time. It was nothing serious but it was causing you some discomfort.
So after getting dressed for practice you walked to the Physio room. Running into your room on the way.
"y/n, why are you limping?" She asked you.
"good morning to you too, Mama! Its nothing. Just some discomfort in my knee!" You told her.
"are you sure it's nothing to worry about ?" Your Mama asked.
"are you asking as my Mom or my Coach?" You wanted to know.
"both, to be honest." She admitted.
"i am on my way to the Physiotherapist. You can come with me If you want so you can hear it for yourself." You offered. Smiling softly.
"Sounds like a plan." Your Mama answered. You walked together to the physio room.
The Physio therapist that was in Charge today was quite young. You knew that his name was Zane and he was 22 years old. He seemed nervous around you. Your Mom found it quite funny cause it was obvious he had a crush on you.
"w-what brings you here today?" Zane asked.
"my knee, i have some discomfort." You explained. Showing him the exact Location where it Hurts.
"okay, let me check." He did some exercises with you and asked you some questions. "It's nothing serious! I will tape your knee every day before practice and before a game and you are all good to Go!" Zane told you.
"that's good News!" Your Mama said. Kyra and Alessia walked in.
"Babe are you alright?" Alessia asked you and walked over quickly. You kissed her softly. She kissed back.
"don't worry i am fine. My knee is Just causing me discomfort." You explained.
"she heard from the Front desk that you are here and got super worried." Kyra stated.
"thankfully everything is just fine. She gets her knee taped every day before practice or a Game and that's it."your Mama said softly.
"that's good to hear. I was worried." Alessia answered.
"good thing there is nothing to worry about." You replied and stood up after Zane was done with taping your knee.
"okay, time to get onto the pitch. We have alot of work to do. The Game against Manchester United is coming up in Just 4 days." Your Mom answered. Suddenly in Coach Mode.
"yes Coach!" You replied and walked out of the room with Kyra and Alessia, after thanking Zane for his help.
On the pitch you partnered up with your best friend Mariona. The two of you played together at Barcelona as well. You currently were warming up together.
"¿Cómo está tu rodilla?" Mariona wanted to know. ( how is your knee? )
"Está bien, no duele. Simplemente no se siente al 100%." You let her know. ( it's okay. it doesn't hurt. just doesn't feel 100%.)
"¿Prometes no excederte? Sé lo terco que eres." She stated. You chuckled softly. ( promise not to overdo it? I know how stubborn you are. )
"Tú lo llamas terquedad. Yo lo llamo ambición." You just replied. Smirking softly. She laughed at that a bit and shook her head. ( you call it stubborn. i call it ambitious. )
A few minutes later you started doing drills. You were dribbling through some cones, working on your speed. Not that it was a problem, but you always knew you could try to push yourself a little more.
After that you played some 3vs3 games. You played in a Team with Leah & Emily, while Alessia played with Caitlin & Chloe.
Your team ended up winning. After that you practiced some Penalty Kicks. Everyone got three tries and you put all three of them into the back of the net.
It was time for Lunch now so you walked into the Break room with everyone. You held Alessias hand gently. Smiling softly at your wife.
"so when are we getting a Slegers-Russo Baby?" Katie asked. You look at her.
"wouldn't you like to know?!" You asked and chuckled softly.
"you are one of the First ones to find Out!" Alessia stated.
"the First ones will be our parents of course!" You said.
"better be!" Your Mom answered, walking past you with Kim and Leah. You had to laugh at her comment.
"when are we getting a McFoord Baby?" Alessia now asked.
"Not that soon!" Caitlin told your wife.
"but also not that late." Katie said softly.
You all grabbed some plates and put some food of your choice on it before sitting down. You & Alessia sat at a table with Mariona, Lia, Vic, Kyra , Steph & Beth.
"¿Quieres tomar un café después del entrenamiento? Tengo algo que decirte." Mariona stated. ( want to grab coffee after practice? i have something to tell you. )
"Si segura." You replied, having a feeling of what this was about. Your wife was talking to the other Girls about planning a Girls night out. You and Mariona for sure would be dragged into this as well. ( yes sure. )
"english please, not everyone speaks multiple Langauges." Beth stated with a soft chuckle.
"Misschien is het tijd om een nieuwe taal te leren, Beth." You told her and Vic laughed at that. ( maybe it's time to learn a new language, Beth. )
"Dat was hilarisch." Vic stated. ( That was hilarious. )
"Bedankt." You replied. ( Thank you. )
"funny. I understood everything you said in dutch!" Beth let you know.
"and one day you gonna be able to speak it fluently." You told her.
"practice makes perfect!" Alessia said. You nodded your head in agreement.
"my wife is right." You let everyone know.
"Happy wife, Happy Life. Right?" Kyra stated.
"you got that right, Kyra!" You told her.
"Amen to that!" Katie said, walking past your table while holding Hands with Caitlin.
"at least you know your place, Babe!"Caitlin playfully told Katie.
After Lunch you went back on the pitch, it was time to Work on free kicks. After around 15 minutes you realized the discomfort was turning into pain. It wasn't too bad but still didn't feel right. You decided to ignore it. But of course your Mom noticed.
"y/n, Je hebt pijn. Ga maar naar de fysio!" You heard her say. Which got the attention from the rest of the Team. Especially from your wife. Who looked really concerned. ( Y/n, you are in pain. off to the physio you go! )
"Kan ik na de training niet gaan?" You asked. It kind of teleported you right back to your Teenage Girls. Which have gone by fast actually. You just turned 27. But this felt like a conversation you had with your Mom at the age of 16. ( Can't i go after practice? )
"Nee, wij willen niets riskeren." Your Mom stated. You sighed again but made your way back to the phyiso room. ( No, we don't want to risk anything. )
"y/n, why are you back?" Zane asked. He then noticed that you were limping. "Why are you limping?"
"i slipped a bit and now it hurts. Only a little though!" You admitted.
"let's check it out then." He let you know and you laid down. Examing it. Coming to the conclusion that nothing is broken but you need crutches and your knee will be bandaged up for two weeks ro make sure you rest it up enough. You would totally miss the game against Manchester United. But maybe you would be back on the pitch for the Champions League Final.
You made your was back to the field and your wife tan over right away.
"Babe...what's wrong?" Alessia asked. Your Mom walked over.
"excellent question." She stated.
"it's not as bad as it looks." You just said.

Control | Lia Wälti x Reader (18+)
Summary: During a night out with the team, Lia lets her feelings for you get out of hand and tells, though in a different way you wouldn’t have expected
Warnings: smut minors DNI!, top reader, bottom lia, strap use (lia receiving), strap riding, begging, jealousy
WC: 2.3K
The loud music in the bar was deafening and a bit annoying if you were to ask Lia. The midfielder didn’t even want to come out with the team tonight, having planned to stay in and sulk about the massive crush she had for you. Lia has had feelings for you since you joined Arsenal, which was almost a year ago at this point. The midfielder refused to tell you, or anyone, because she didn’t want to risk ruining the friendship the two of you had built.
But now that she’s seated in a booth in a loud bar, watching you laugh with your teammates, she wishes she had said something. Lia wishes it was her making you laugh like that, but instead, she was in the corner sulking.
Conversations between Leah, Steph, and Kim echoed in her ears, but she wasn’t listening. She was too distracted by you in a different booth with Alessia, Caitlin, and Katie.
“Lia,” Kim’s familiar Scottish accent pulled her from her thoughts. Lia turned her head slightly to catch a glimpse of her three teammates, who were all staring at her as if they were waiting for her input on something.
“What,” the midfielder mumbled as her cheeks flushed slightly, hoping she wasn’t caught.
Leah followed her eyes that were drifting to you every so often, a knowing smirk gracing the blonde’s face. “You should tell Y/N how you feel,” she nodded as she sipped her drink, watching as Lia’s eyes widened.
Lia stuttered, trying to formulate a response. Her blush deepened as her teammates laughed at her expression. “W-what are you talking about?” she finally said, clearing her throat once she had finished speaking.
Steph rolled her eyes and shot her a knowing look. “C’mon, Lia,” the defender laughed softly. “I think everyone knows you have feelings for her,” she finished as she sat back against the seat.
Lia didn’t respond, unsure of if she could lie her way out of this conversation. Her eyes wandered back to you, though you were no longer in your seat. Her brows furrowed in confusion as she scanned the cramped bar, finally finding you leaned up against the bar as you waited for a drink. Her teammates gave up trying to get her attention, they could tell they weren’t going to get much from her tonight.
Lia watched as some woman moved to stand next to you, an obvious flirtation glint in her eyes that Lia could see from her seat. Her jaw clenched watching the woman touch your arm and her jealousy grew when you didn’t pull away.
“Excuse me,” she muttered as she pushed herself out of the booth, not caring to listen to if her friends responded.
Leah, Kim, and Steph watched as Lia made her way toward you, the trio was glad their friend finally grew a pair and was going to do something about her crush.
“Hi,” Lia said, putting on a fake smile once she was by your side. Her hand moved to hold on to your bicep. You turned to smile at her, but your expression changed when you saw the annoyed look on her face.
“Hi, Lia,” you hummed, your attention fully on her rather than the woman at the bar. You have had a crush on the Swiss captain for a few months, but you kept it to yourself since you weren’t sure she would feel the same way.
“Can I talk to you,” she asked, her eyes dropping to your lips quickly before meeting your gaze again. “Outside,” she nodded her head toward the entrance of the bar.
You downed the rest of your drink and gave the woman at the bar a small smile before letting Lia drag you outside. You missed the trio Lia was sitting with shoot her subtle thumbs up, your focus solely on the woman’s hand in yours.
Once you were outside, the cold air sobered you up quickly while you moved further down the street, away from the bar. “What’s up,” you asked once you two came to a stop.
Lia didn’t answer, rather she let the silence build between you as her eyes held your gaze. She was fighting in her mind, debating if she should just say what she was feeling or come up with some sort of lie. Her eyes dropped to your lips once more and she threw caution to the wind, her hands pulling on the jacket you were wearing.
Your lips met in a heated kiss and it took you a second to realize what was happening. Though, once you came to your senses, your hands wrapped around her waist as the kiss grew deeper. Lia moaned softly against your lips, her hands moving up to lock around your neck to pull you closer to her.
You pulled away after a moment when you needed air, your chest panting slightly. “What was that for,” you huffed, your hands still tight around her body.
“I didn’t like how she was touching you,” her voice had dropped slightly and her annoyance with the woman inside was evident in her tone.
You exhaled with a small smirk on your face as you moved a hand to her chin tilting her head up slightly. “Were you jealous, Lia,” you grinned, your thumb tracing her bottom lip.
“I don’t need to be,” she lied, and she knew you could tell she was but you didn’t call her out on it.
“Why’s that,” you teased, your smirk growing.
Lia didn’t respond verbally, instead, she sucked your thumb into her mouth, sucking as she held eye contact with you. She let you pull the digit from her mouth after a moment, her voice slightly raspy as she responded, “I could show you why.”
You raised a brow at her words, intrigued by her confidence. “You’d think you be in control,” you teased.
“Obviously,” she smirked, once again lying but the game you two were playing was turning her on.
“My place is closer,” you started, shrugging as you licked your lips. “If you wanna prove it.”
Lia bit her lip and nodded, letting you lead her in the direction of your house, which was within walking distance of the bar. You two all but jogged with how eager you were. Lia, eager to try and be in control, and you, eager to prove her wrong.
The second you had the door unlocked, you pulled Lia inside and your lips were on her’s once again. This kiss was more messy and rushed, biting at each other’s lips as you shoved your shoes off. You guided her through your house and to your bedroom, your hands pulling at each other’s shirts the whole way there.
You turned to sit on the edge of the bed once you were in the bedroom, pulling Lia to straddle your lap. Lia moaned softly against your lips, her hips grinding softly before she halted her movements. In the midst of being pulled from the bar and arriving home, it had slipped your mind you were packing.
“You were expecting to sleep with someone,” Lia commented more to herself rather than to you, her jaw tight with jealousy once more.
You wore a sheepish smile as you looked up at her, your hand tight on her hip. “Well, we all have needs,” you panted softly while pulling her closer.
Lia rolled her eyes as she moved herself to the side. Her hands moved down to the buttons of your jeans, her fingers quickly undoing the buttons. “Take this off,” she huffed as she stood from the bed completely to strip.
You watched as she let her clothes fall to the floor, your eyes lingering on every new part of her body. Lia raised an eyebrow once she was naked, her eyes dropping to your pants. You chuckled but listened, giving her a little control before you took it from her later.
Your pants and underwear hit the floor and you pushed your body up the bed, watching as you waited for Lia to make her next move. The midfielder took her time climbing up the bed, her eyes locked with yours the entire time. Lia straddled your hips, the toy between your leg brushing her cunt earning a small whine from her lips.
You moved to sit up, trying to reach her lips but a firm push to your chest had your back pressed against the mattress once more. You stared up at her with a smirk but didn’t try to move again, her hand pressing on your chest made it difficult anyway.
“You’re not in control, Y/N,” she teased with a surge of confidence. You nodded along despite not believing her but you were intrigued to see what she had in store.
Lia leaned down until her lips ghosted yours, the hand on your chest slipping lower on your body until it met the base of the dildo harnessed around your hips. She guided the tip of the toy through her folds, small moans echoing against your lips while her brows furrowed in pleasure.
You swallowed watching her face, enjoying the expressions she was making. Lia slipped the toy inside, moving to sink her hips down until she met the base of the strap. “Fuck,” she gasped as she sat up, her hand moving back to the center of your chest.
You moved your hands to hold her hips, your chest raising as she slowly started moving her hips. “You look good from this angle,” you teased as you moved to prop your feet on the bed to give you better movement of your hips.
“Shut up,” she gasped, a light blush coating her cheeks as her hips sped up. She pressed harder on your chest as she rode the toy buried inside her, broken moans echoing off your bedroom walls.
You gripped her hips tighter, grunts falling from your lips as the harness brushed your clit with each thrust of her hips. Your eyes fluttered in pleasure, small whines of Lia’s name leaving your lips. Lia smirked down at you in triumph, thinking that she had the upper hand.
“I-I’m close,” she grunted after some time, her hips starting to falter as her thighs burned from her thrusting. You nodded in agreement but you didn’t trust your voice at the moment.
With a loud moan of your name, she came as her hips stilled. Lia panted above you, her nails clawing at your chest as she fought to catch her breath. You came with her, the pressure on your clit combined with watching her ride you was enough to send you over the edge.
“See, told you I was in control,” she had a pleased grin on her face when she was able to speak. You exhaled with a small laugh, smirking up at her with a glint in your eyes.
Lia was too weak to push you back down when you sat up, your hands holding her hips tightly as you flipped your positions. Lia gasped in surprise when her back hit your mattress, a hoarse moan following quickly after the strap that was still inside her brushed her g-spot.
“Doesn’t look like it anymore, hmm,” you teased, moving your hands to rest on either side of her head to keep yourself hovering above her.
Lia tried to respond but a well-timed thrust of your hips cut her off. You chuckled at her, loving having reduced her to not speaking. You moved your hips slowly, teasing her. “Nothing to say now, Lia,” you asked, your hips starting to speed up.
Lia’s eyes rolled back in pleasure, still unable to respond verbally. Her hands moved to your back, her nails leaving crescent indents as she dug her nails into your skin. Your hips snapped against hers, small grunts leaving your lips from the pleasure you were getting from the harness.
“P-please – fuck – I’m-,” her begging was cut off when you moved her leg to rest around your waist, thrusting into her with a new angle.
You smirked down at her before leaning down to kiss her. The kiss was messy, neither of you could keep up because of her moans. Lia’s hands slipped down your back, her fingers digging into your lower back as she let loud cries of your name fall from her lips.
She clenched around the toy, making it harder to move as she came for a second time that night. You moved as best as you could, searching for an orgasm of your own as you helped her ride out her high. You came with a grunt of her name, your hips starting to stutter.
You paused your movements, panting above her as she did the same. You gave her time to recover before kissing her again, this time a bit more put together. “You okay,” you asked once you broke apart, your voice raspy.
Lia nodded while biting her lip. “Yeah,” she smiled up at you, her hands moving to the sides of your neck to pull you into another kiss.
Your hips subconsciously jerked, a whine leaving her lips as the kiss broke. “Sorry,” you laughed but didn’t pull out. “Got one more in ya,” you joked slightly with a smirk.
Lia pulled you closer to whisper against your lips, “More than one.” Your smirk grew and you were filled with a newfound energy, ready to see if she was right.
The rest of the night and into the early morning was spent pulling as many orgasms as you could from the midfielder. This wasn’t how you imagined telling her about your feelings but you weren’t complaining. You two would have a lot to talk about once you woke up but thankfully you had an off day so there was no need to rush the moment you were awake. You were both grateful that you both finally said something.

Tease
Alessia Russo x Reader
Word count: 5.5k
_________________________________________________
You had always been known for your wit. Quick on your feet, a little cheeky, and a lot playful. So when you’d been introduced to Alessia Russo for the first time after transferring to Manchester United, it had taken approximately five seconds for you to start teasing her.
“You must be Alessia," you’d said with a grin, shaking her hand at your first training session. “You’re even prettier than the photos.”
Alessia’s face had gone red immediately, her eyes darting around as if someone else could confirm she wasn’t imagining your flirtation. “Uh, thanks? Welcome to the team?” she stammered, her words coming out as more of a question than a statement.
You had simply winked at her and walked off, leaving her standing there, still trying to make sense of what had just happened.
From that day on, it became your personal mission to get her to blush at every possible moment. Teasing her was far too easy—and it didn’t hurt that she was downright adorable when flustered.
It was an early Tuesday morning when you found your next opportunity. Training wasn’t supposed to start for another thirty minutes, but you’d decided to arrive early to get some extra touches in. Much to your delight, Alessia was already on the pitch, running through some dribbling drills.
“Early riser, eh?” you called out as you jogged toward her, causing her to stop mid-drill and look up.
“Y-yeah, I like to get some practice in before the team arrives,” she replied, wiping a bead of sweat from her forehead.
You raised an eyebrow and shot her a playful grin. “Or are you just trying to impress me, Less?”
Alessia’s eyes widened, and she fumbled with the ball at her feet, nearly tripping over it in her attempt to regain composure. Her cheeks flushed a familiar shade of pink. “W-what? No! I just—”
You laughed, making your way over to her and leaning in close, your voice dropping to a whisper. “It’s okay, I’m flattered. You don’t have to pretend.”
“Y/N, stop,” she mumbled, looking anywhere but at you, her face now fully red as she nervously adjusted her shin guards.
“Alright, alright,” you said with a chuckle, backing off but still shooting her a wink. “But seriously, you’re looking great out here.”
Alessia gave you a small, sheepish smile, the tension easing just a little. “Thanks.”
You watched her for a moment, appreciating the way she moved with such grace and precision, even when she was flustered. Despite your relentless teasing, there was no denying that Alessia was a hell of a player. But you weren’t about to let her off the hook that easily.
“By the way,” you added as you picked up a ball and dribbled alongside her, “your blush is really cute.”
Alessia groaned, but there was a smile tugging at the corners of her lips as she shook her head. “You’re impossible, Y/N.”
“And you love it,” you shot back with a smirk.
She didn’t respond, but the way she ducked her head made you suspect that maybe—just maybe—you weren’t wrong.
Training had been tough, but you had managed to keep your usual playful banter going throughout, much to Alessia’s embarrassment. Every time she made a particularly good play, you’d shower her with over-the-top compliments that sent her blushing.
“Look at that touch! You’re incredible, Less,” you’d exclaimed after she sent a perfect pass across the field. She’d barely managed a muttered thanks before sprinting away from you, her cheeks flaming.
But your favorite moment came after training when the team was gathered in the locker room. You’d been chatting with a couple of your teammates when Alessia walked by, still drying her hair from the shower.
Without missing a beat, you turned to her with a dramatic gasp. “Alessia! You clean up so nice. You should have warned me—I need sunglasses for how radiant you are.”
The locker room erupted into laughter, and Alessia froze mid-step, her face turning the deepest shade of red you’d ever seen. She looked like she wanted to melt into the floor, her eyes darting around for an escape.
“Y/N, stop,” she mumbled, her voice barely audible over the laughter of your teammates.
“I’m just speaking the truth!” you replied with an exaggerated shrug, flashing her a grin. “You can’t help it if you’re stunning.”
Alessia shot you a look that was somewhere between exasperation and amusement before finally managing to escape to her locker, her face still burning with embarrassment.
“Honestly, Y/N, you’re going to give her a heart attack,” one of your teammates said with a laugh, clapping you on the back.
You just shrugged, your grin never wavering. “Hey, if she’s going to be all cute and blushy, I’m not going to stop.”
Despite all the teasing and flirting, you had to admit that there was something undeniably endearing about Alessia’s constant blushes and shy smiles. She was sweet and kind, always going out of her way to help her teammates, and you found yourself wanting to be around her more and more.
So one evening, after a particularly tough match that you’d lost, you found yourself seeking her out. Alessia was sitting by herself in the stands, staring out at the empty field, clearly lost in thought.
“Hey,” you said softly, sitting down beside her. “You okay?”
She glanced over at you, her usual blush nowhere to be seen, replaced by a somber expression. “Yeah, I’m just… disappointed, I guess. I feel like I didn’t play my best today.”
You frowned, your playful demeanor fading as you reached out to place a comforting hand on her shoulder. “Are you kidding? You were great out there, Less. We all have off days, but you gave it your all, and that’s what matters.”
Alessia let out a small sigh, her shoulders slumping. “I just feel like I could have done more.”
Without thinking, you scooted closer to her, your hand moving to gently tilt her chin up so she was looking at you. “Hey, you’re one of the best players on this team, Alessia. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You’re amazing.”
Her eyes met yours, and for once, there was no teasing in your voice, no playful smirk on your lips. You were being completely sincere, and it seemed to catch her off guard. Her cheeks flushed slightly, but this time it wasn’t out of embarrassment—it was something softer, something more vulnerable.
“Thanks, Y/N,” she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.
You smiled, giving her shoulder a reassuring squeeze. “Anytime.”
For a moment, the two of you just sat there in comfortable silence, the weight of the loss starting to fade as you focused on the simple comfort of being next to each other.
But of course, you couldn’t resist slipping back into your usual teasing.
“You know,” you said with a grin, “I’m still waiting for you to admit that you like my flirting.”
Alessia’s blush returned full force, and she groaned, burying her face in her hands. “Y/N, you’re unbelievable.”
“Unbelievably charming, I know,” you quipped, earning a soft laugh from her as she playfully shoved you.
“You’re lucky I put up with you,” she muttered, but there was a smile on her face as she spoke.
“And you love it,” you replied with a wink.
She didn’t deny it.
The playful banter continued for weeks, each day bringing new opportunities for you to tease and flirt with Alessia, and each time, she’d turn redder and redder. It had become a game—one that you thoroughly enjoyed.
But despite all the teasing, you couldn’t deny that there was something more beneath the surface. You found yourself looking forward to every training session, every match, every quiet moment you spent with Alessia. The teasing wasn’t just for fun anymore—it was because you genuinely liked her. A lot.
And that scared you a little.
You weren’t exactly the type to get flustered or nervous, but when it came to Alessia, you felt like a nervous wreck. What if she didn’t feel the same way? What if all the teasing had just been a joke to her, something she tolerated but didn’t reciprocate?
One evening, after a particularly intense training session, you found yourself standing outside the locker room, pacing back and forth as you debated whether or not to tell her how you felt.
“Y/N?”
You jumped at the sound of her voice, spinning around to find Alessia standing behind you, looking slightly concerned. “You okay?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you replied quickly, your usual playful confidence faltering for the first time. “I just, uh… wanted to talk to you.”
Alessia raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised by your uncharacteristic nervousness. “Okay… what’s up?”
You took a deep breath, steeling yourself before blurting out, “I like you, Less.”
Alessia blinked, clearly caught off guard. “You… what?”
“I like you,” you repeated
Sure, let's continue from where we left off:
You swallowed hard, your usual confidence nowhere to be found as you tried to explain yourself. “I know I’ve been teasing you a lot, but it’s because I like you. A lot. I didn’t mean to make things weird or anything, but I couldn’t just keep pretending that it’s all just for fun. You mean more to me than that.”
Alessia’s face was a mixture of shock and disbelief. She opened her mouth, closed it again, then finally let out a nervous laugh. “You like me?” Her cheeks turned pink again, but this time it wasn’t just embarrassment—there was a glimmer of something more in her eyes.
“Yeah,” you said softly, your voice steady now despite the pounding of your heart. “I know I joke around a lot, but I’m serious, Less. You’re amazing. And not just on the pitch. You’re kind, and sweet, and… well, let’s just say you’ve got me wrapped around your finger.”
Alessia’s blush deepened, and she looked away for a moment, biting her lip. For what felt like an eternity, she didn’t say anything, and you could feel your anxiety rising. Maybe you had misread the situation. Maybe you’d pushed things too far.
But then, she turned back to you, her eyes soft, almost shy. “I thought you were just being… well, you. I didn’t think you actually—” She trailed off, shaking her head as if she couldn’t quite believe what she was hearing.
“Look, I get that I can be a lot sometimes,” you said quickly, rubbing the back of your neck. “But I’m not messing around here. I really like you, Alessia. And if you don’t feel the same, that’s okay, I’ll back off—”
“I do,” she interrupted, her voice quiet but certain.
You blinked. “You… do?”
Alessia nodded, her blush still going strong but a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “Yeah. I like you too. I just… I didn’t know how to say it. You’re so confident, and I’m… well, me.”
You couldn’t help the grin that spread across your face, relief flooding through you. “So all this time, you’ve been blushing because you like me?”
Alessia let out a soft laugh, covering her face with her hands for a moment before looking at you again, her eyes shining with a mixture of embarrassment and affection. “Maybe. Just a little.”
“Well, that’s good to know,” you teased gently, stepping closer to her. “Because I’ve been holding back for weeks now, trying not to scare you off with my charm.”
Alessia rolled her eyes, but there was a playful smile on her face now. “You really are impossible, you know that?”
“And yet, here you are, admitting you like me,” you quipped, reaching out to gently take her hand in yours.
She didn’t pull away. Instead, she laced her fingers with yours, her blush fading slightly as she met your gaze. “Yeah. I guess I am.”
For a moment, the two of you just stood there, hands intertwined, the air between you charged with something new and electric. It wasn’t just playful flirting anymore—it was real, and it felt like everything had shifted.
“So,” you said, breaking the silence with a smirk, “does this mean I can finally kiss you?”
Alessia’s eyes widened, and she let out a nervous laugh, her cheeks turning pink once more. “You’re really not going to stop teasing me, are you?”
“Not a chance,” you replied, stepping even closer, your voice softening. “But seriously. Can I?”
She hesitated for a second, but then she nodded, her lips curving into a shy smile. “Yeah. You can.”
You didn’t need to be told twice. Gently, you cupped her face in your hands, leaning in until your lips brushed against hers. The kiss was soft and sweet, full of the unspoken feelings that had been building between you for weeks. Alessia kissed you back almost hesitantly at first, but soon, her arms wrapped around your neck, pulling you closer.
When you finally pulled away, both of you were breathless, and Alessia’s face was practically glowing with embarrassment and happiness. “That was… nice,” she said, her voice a little shaky but full of warmth.
You grinned, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “Just nice? I’ll have to try harder next time.”
Alessia laughed, shaking her head at your never-ending confidence. “Don’t push your luck, Y/N.”
You smiled softly, your heart swelling as you looked at her. “Too late for that. I’m in this now, for real.”
Alessia’s eyes softened, and for the first time, there was no trace of embarrassment or nerves in her expression—just pure affection. “Me too.”
From that day on, things changed between you and Alessia in the best possible way. The playful banter and teasing didn’t stop—if anything, it became even more fun now that you both knew where you stood. But there was also a new level of comfort and intimacy between you.
After training sessions, instead of just teasing her from afar, you’d walk over and plant a soft kiss on her cheek, watching with delight as she turned pink every single time.
“Y/N, we’re at training,” she’d whisper, glancing around to make sure no one was watching.
“And?” you’d reply with a cheeky grin. “I’m just showing my girl some love. Besides, everyone already knows I’m obsessed with you.”
Alessia would groan, her face red as she tried (and failed) to hide her smile. “You’re incorrigible.”
“And you love it,” you’d tease, nudging her playfully.
But beneath all the teasing, there were quieter moments too—moments when the two of you would sit together in comfortable silence, your hand resting on her knee as you watched TV, or when you’d sneak away from team events just to steal a few minutes alone together.
One evening, after a particularly tough match that had ended in a hard-fought draw, you found Alessia sitting alone in the locker room, her head in her hands. You knew immediately that something was off.
“Hey,” you said softly, sitting down beside her. “You okay?”
She looked up, her eyes a little red, and you could see the frustration written all over her face. “I just feel like I didn’t play my best today.”
You frowned, reaching out to gently take her hand. “Less, you were great out there. We all have off days, but you gave it everything you had.”
She sighed, her shoulders slumping. “I just feel like I could have done more. I let the team down.”
“Hey, hey,” you said, scooting closer and wrapping an arm around her shoulders. “You didn’t let anyone down. You were amazing, like always. Don’t be so hard on yourself.”
Alessia leaned into you, resting her head on your shoulder. “Thanks, Y/N. I just… I don’t know. It’s hard sometimes, feeling like I’m not doing enough.”
You pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head, your heart aching at the sadness in her voice. “You’re more than enough, Alessia. You’re incredible. And if you ever forget that, I’ll be here to remind you.”
She smiled softly, her hand finding yours and squeezing it gently. “What would I do without you?”
“You’d probably be less flustered,” you joked, trying to lighten the mood.
Alessia laughed, shaking her head. “Yeah, but I’d also be a lot less happy.”
You grinned, leaning down to kiss her gently on the lips. “Good answer.”
As time went on, your relationship with Alessia only grew stronger. You still loved making her blush, and she still couldn’t help but get flustered whenever you teased her. But now, there was an unspoken understanding between you—a deep connection that went beyond the jokes and the flirting.
One evening, as you sat together on the couch, Alessia curled up against your side, you couldn’t help but reflect on how far you’d come.
“Do you remember the first time we met?” you asked, glancing down at her with a smile.
Alessia looked up at you, her eyes soft with affection. “How could I forget? You started flirting with me five seconds after we shook hands.”
You laughed, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead. “I couldn’t help it. You were too cute.”
She rolled her eyes but smiled, snuggling closer to you. “You’re lucky I didn’t run away.”
“You wouldn’t have gotten far,” you teased, wrapping your arms around her. “I would’ve chased after you.”
Alessia laughed, her cheeks turning pink as she buried her face in your chest. “You’re ridiculous.”
“And you love it,” you said softly, kissing the top of her head.
She smiled, her hand resting on your chest as she looked up at you. “Yeah. I do.”
In that moment, you knew that whatever the future held, you and Alessia would face it together. Because even though you loved making her blush, the truth was, you loved her more than anything.
And that? That was something worth holding onto.
It had been a few months since you and Alessia had officially started dating, but your favorite pastime hadn’t changed one bit. If anything, you’d found new ways to tease her now that you were together, and it was even more fun seeing how easily she still got flustered. One particular day, the opportunity was too good to pass up.
You and the rest of the team were out for lunch, gathered around a long table after a morning training session. Alessia sat across from you, laughing at a joke one of your teammates had just made, completely unaware of the mischievous smile forming on your face.
As the conversation flowed around the table, you leaned back in your chair, casually resting your foot against Alessia’s under the table. At first, she didn’t react, still engaged in the chatter, but when you gently nudged her ankle with your foot and let your leg linger against hers, she froze.
Her eyes flickered toward you, widening slightly in confusion, but you just gave her an innocent smile as if nothing was happening.
“What’s wrong, Less?” you asked, loud enough for everyone to hear, but with just enough of a teasing lilt that she knew you were up to something.
She blinked, her face immediately turning pink. “N-nothing,” she stammered, her voice higher than usual as she shifted in her seat.
Your teammates barely noticed the interaction, too caught up in their own conversations, but you could see Alessia’s growing discomfort as you lightly ran your foot up her leg.
“Oh, okay,” you said with a smirk, leaning forward on your elbows. “You just looked a little… flustered.”
Alessia’s blush deepened as she looked around the table, clearly hoping no one else was paying attention. “Y/N,” she muttered under her breath, her eyes pleading with you to stop.
But of course, you didn’t.
Leaning even closer, you whispered just loud enough for her to hear, “Why are you blushing, Less? Did I make you nervous?”
She shot you a look, her face now fully red as she fidgeted with her napkin, clearly trying to compose herself. “You’re impossible,” she mumbled, glancing around nervously to make sure no one else was catching on.
“I know,” you replied with a wink, pulling your foot back and giving her a break. “But you love me anyway.”
Alessia let out a quiet groan, shaking her head. “I do,” she admitted softly, her lips curving into a small smile despite the flush still coloring her cheeks.
You grinned, giving her a playful wink. “And that’s why you’re stuck with me.”
For the rest of the lunch, Alessia tried to avoid your gaze, but you could tell by the soft smile on her lips that, even when you teased her, she wouldn’t want it any other way.
It was the end of a long, hard-fought match, and your team had just managed to scrape a victory. Everyone was buzzing with excitement as you made your way back to the locker room, high on adrenaline and the thrill of the win. Alessia had played brilliantly, as always, and you could already see the pride shining in her eyes as you caught up to her.
“Hey, superstar,” you called out, slinging an arm over her shoulder as the two of you walked toward the locker room together. “You were amazing out there.”
Alessia blushed, looking down at the ground as she smiled. “Thanks, but it was a team effort.”
“Oh, come on, don’t be modest,” you teased, giving her a playful nudge. “You carried us out there. If it wasn’t for your goal, we’d still be running around like headless chickens.”
Alessia’s cheeks flushed even darker, and she ducked her head, clearly embarrassed by the praise. “It wasn’t just me.”
“Sure, sure,” you said with a smirk, leaning in closer. “But you’re the real star here, and you know it.”
She let out a soft laugh, but her face remained red as she tried to deflect the attention. “Stop it, Y/N,” she muttered, her voice shy as she lightly swatted at your arm.
“Why?” you asked, grinning as you pulled her into a side hug, your voice dropping to a whisper. “Does it embarrass you when I tell everyone how amazing my girlfriend is?”
“Y/N, seriously,” she groaned, her face practically glowing with embarrassment now. “You’re going to make me die of embarrassment one of these days.”
You laughed, pulling her closer and pressing a kiss to her temple. “You’re too cute when you’re flustered. I can’t help it.”
Alessia rolled her eyes, but you could see the smile tugging at the corners of her lips. “You’re the worst.”
“And yet, you love me,” you teased, giving her a playful nudge.
She let out a quiet sigh, her smile finally breaking through. “Yeah, I do.”
By the time the two of you reached the locker room, the rest of the team had already started changing and celebrating the win, but you weren’t done teasing Alessia just yet. As you both started getting changed, you made a point of catching her eye every few seconds, sending her exaggerated winks and grinning every time her face turned red.
“Y/N, stop,” she whispered, glancing around to make sure no one else was watching.
“What?” you asked innocently, biting back a laugh. “I’m just appreciating how cute you are.”
Alessia groaned, her hands flying up to cover her face as she tried to hide her growing embarrassment. “You’re going to drive me crazy.”
You chuckled, pulling her hands away from her face and leaning in to press a soft kiss to her lips. “Good thing you like me a little crazy then.”
She smiled against your lips, her blush finally starting to fade as she relaxed into the kiss. When you pulled back, she looked up at you with a mix of exasperation and affection. “I really don’t know how I put up with you.”
“Because I’m charming,” you said with a wink.
Alessia laughed, shaking her head. “Yeah. Something like that.”
You grinned, giving her a playful nudge as the two of you finished getting changed. Even after all the teasing and all the blushes, you knew that Alessia wouldn’t want it any other way.
And, truth be told, neither would you.
It was a quiet afternoon, and you and Alessia had the day off from training. You decided to spend the day together at home, lounging on the couch with a movie playing in the background. It was peaceful, and Alessia seemed happy, nestled against your side as you absentmindedly ran your fingers through her hair.
Of course, you couldn’t resist a little teasing, as always.
“Hey, Less,” you said, giving her a playful nudge with your elbow. “You remember that time you tripped over your own feet during warm-ups?”
Alessia groaned, burying her face in your shoulder. “Don’t remind me,” she mumbled, but there was a smile on her lips.
You grinned, feeling the familiar urge to push her buttons just a bit more. “Oh, come on, it was hilarious. You went down like a sack of potatoes. I’m pretty sure the whole team’s still laughing about it.”
Alessia’s face flushed slightly, but she didn’t say anything. You figured she was used to your teasing by now, so you kept going, not realizing that today might be different.
“And then there was that time you completely missed the ball during the game. Remember that? The fans were probably wondering if you were secretly sabotaging us.”
Alessia’s smile faded a little, and she shifted uncomfortably beside you. “Y/N,” she said quietly, her voice more serious than usual. “That’s enough.”
You blinked, not catching the shift in her mood. “What? I’m just messing with you, Less. You know I’m kidding.”
But instead of laughing, Alessia sat up and moved away from you, her expression tense. “It’s not funny anymore,” she said, her voice sharper than you’d ever heard it.
The change in her tone caught you off guard. You frowned, confused. “Less, come on. It’s just a joke.”
“No, it’s not just a joke,” she snapped, standing up from the couch. “You always do this, Y/N. You keep teasing me and making fun of me, and I’m tired of it. I get that it’s your way of showing affection or whatever, but sometimes it hurts.”
Her words hit you like a punch to the gut, and suddenly, the playful mood you’d been in evaporated. You hadn’t meant to upset her, but it was clear that you had.
“Alessia, I didn’t mean—”
“You never mean to, but you always do it,” she interrupted, her voice shaking with frustration. “I’ve told you before that I get embarrassed easily, and you just keep pushing it. It’s like you don’t even care how I feel.”
That stung. You cared about Alessia more than anything, but you’d never realized that your constant teasing had been affecting her like this.
“I’m sorry,” you said quietly, standing up to face her. “I didn’t know it bothered you this much.”
Alessia shook her head, her arms crossed tightly over her chest. “Well, now you do. And it does. I try to laugh it off because I know you’re just joking, but sometimes… sometimes it feels like you don’t take me seriously.”
Her words hung heavy in the air, and for the first time, you realized how much your teasing had hurt her. You’d crossed a line without even realizing it, and now Alessia was standing in front of you, visibly upset, her cheeks flushed with anger rather than embarrassment.
“Less, I’m really sorry,” you said, stepping closer to her. “I didn’t mean to make you feel like that. I never want you to think I don’t take you seriously. You mean everything to me.”
But Alessia didn’t soften. She just shook her head, her eyes full of frustration and hurt. “I need some space,” she said quietly. “I can’t deal with this right now.”
Your heart sank as she walked past you, heading toward the bedroom and shutting the door behind her. The sound of it closing felt final, and for a moment, you just stood there, staring after her, unsure of what to do.
You’d messed up. Big time.
You spent the next couple of hours pacing the living room, replaying the conversation over and over in your head. You couldn’t believe how badly you’d misread the situation. Alessia had always been so good-natured about your teasing, but you hadn’t realized that it had been wearing on her. Now, you had to figure out how to make things right.
After a while, you couldn’t stand the silence any longer. You knocked gently on the bedroom door, hoping she’d be willing to talk to you.
“Less?” you called softly. “Can we talk?”
There was no response for a moment, and your heart sank even further. But then, the door creaked open, and Alessia stood there, her arms still crossed over her chest, her face a mix of anger and sadness.
You took a deep breath, knowing you had to lay it all out there.
“Alessia,” you began, your voice quiet but sincere. “I’m so, so sorry. I didn’t realize how much I was hurting you with my jokes. I thought I was just messing around, but I wasn’t paying attention to how you were really feeling. That’s on me, and I’m sorry.”
She looked at you, her expression softening slightly, but the hurt was still there. “You really didn’t notice?” she asked, her voice wavering. “Because it feels like I’ve been telling you for a while now.”
Guilt washed over you, and you nodded. “I know, and I should’ve listened. I’ve been selfish, thinking that just because I like to joke around, you’d be okay with it. But that’s not fair to you. You deserve better than that.”
Alessia sighed, leaning against the doorframe as she looked down at the floor. “I don’t want to fight with you, Y/N. I just… I need you to respect my boundaries. Sometimes, the teasing is fine, but other times, it makes me feel small. Like I’m just the punchline.”
Your chest tightened at her words, and you stepped closer, reaching out tentatively to take her hand. “I never want you to feel that way. You’re not a joke to me, Less. You’re the most important person in my life, and I’m sorry I’ve made you feel anything less than that.”
She hesitated for a moment, but then she let you take her hand, her fingers intertwining with yours. “I know you didn’t mean to,” she said quietly. “But it still hurt.”
“I’ll do better,” you promised, squeezing her hand gently. “I’ll be more mindful of your feelings, and if I ever cross a line again, just tell me, and I’ll stop. I don’t want to lose you over something like this.”
Alessia’s eyes met yours, and for the first time since the argument, you saw the anger fading away, replaced by something softer. “You’re not going to lose me,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “I just need you to understand that sometimes, it’s too much.”
“I get it,” you said earnestly. “I’ll back off with the teasing, I promise. I just want you to be happy.”
She gave you a small smile, her hand squeezing yours in return. “I do love you, Y/N. But sometimes, you drive me crazy.”
You let out a breath of relief, pulling her into a gentle hug. “I love you too. And I’ll try to drive you a little less crazy from now on.”
Alessia laughed softly, resting her head against your chest. “That’s all I ask.”
You held her close, the weight of the argument slowly lifting as she relaxed in your arms. You knew you still had work to do to rebuild the trust you’d damaged, but for now, you were just grateful that she’d given you the chance to make things right.
As the two of you stood there, wrapped in each other’s arms, you made a silent vow to yourself: no more careless jokes, no more pushing her boundaries. You’d be the partner she deserved—one who lifted her up, not one who made her feel small.
And this time, you’d really listen.

"Are you nervous about tomorrow?" my work colleague, who is also my best friend, Jules, looks at me with a focused expression.
A few years ago, I attended college in the USA, where I ran my own sports blog for the university newspaper. I especially enjoyed writing about the women’s football team because I witnessed the sport gaining more popularity there.
It felt so empowering to see how all the girls were following their dreams, and I always wanted to share their stories so everyone could see their passion.
I was packing all my work stuff into my bag when Jules called out my name.
"Y/N, can you please help me real quick?"
I sighed but stopped what I was doing and walked into the salesroom.
"Can you make a latte macchiato real quick? Table 7 has a big order, and I’m swamped. Sorry for interrupting you," she said.
I smiled softly at her before glancing at the girl who had ordered the latte. I barely registered her, only noticing how graceful her movements were.
It felt kind of ironic that my last customer of the day would be such a mysterious woman.
But life moved on, as it always does, and that moment faded into the countless fleeting, insignificant encounters you never expect to think about again. Until much later.
----
"Oh my girl, Jules, you made it!" I pulled her into a tight hug.
"Of course! It's your graduation today! I'm so proud of you, my little nerd."
After three years of hard work, endless studying, and way too much crying, I’m finally done. I’m now a certified sports journalist with a focus on women’s football. I couldn’t be happier.
"Now it’s time for you to introduce me to your girlfriend! I can’t wait to meet the mysterious Alessia in person."
Her smile grew even wider as I mentioned her girlfriend. "Come on, she’s right over there, chatting with an old friend from university she randomly ran into here."
----
I’ve checked my phone. 8:00. I arrived at the training ground of THE Arsenal Women’s Football Club.
When I sent my application to a few football clubs as a media coordinator, I never thought my childhood club would hire me. I spent the last few days looking for an outfit and stayed awake the whole night out of nervousness.
It’s already my second week, and I’m still not used to being around all these inspiring and energizing women. You weren’t exactly starstruck, but there was something about being around people you’d admired from afar that left you feeling slightly unsteady.
But it’s different with Lotte. From day one, she helped me with everything. Lotte, however, had a way of disarming you with her easy demeanor. When she introduced herself, it was as if you hadn’t spent the last three days binge-watching match highlights featuring her perfect tackles and precise passes.
Over the weeks, you got used to seeing her around the training ground. She always made an effort to say hi, even if it was just a quick wave or a casual “How’s it going?” Each interaction was brief, professional, and—you told yourself—entirely inconsequential. Except that, somehow, you found yourself looking forward to them.
She had this smile and the way she cared about everyone around her that sticks in my mind, and I can’t stop thinking about her even after work. It’s like we’ve known each other for years.
---
Today was Media Day, and even though I love the girls, I was relieved to have a moment for myself in the cafeteria. Suddenly, someone asked, 'May I join?' At first, I didn’t realize they were talking to me, but when my eyes met my favorite defender's, I knew Lotte was the one addressing me.
'Not at all,' I replied, gesturing to the empty seat.
I don’t want to admit it, but knowing I wasn’t paired up with Lotte for today’s interviews made me a bit sad. That’s why I’m even happier to spot her here during my little break.
She set down her tray, which held a steaming bowl of soup and a sandwich that looked far too healthy for my taste. 'So, how’s life in the media world? Still surviving?'
I chuckled at her words. 'It’s going well. After today, I have a lot of videos to edit, and I still write a blog for a college newspaper, with the deadline coming up, so I’m a bit stressed. The time difference with the USA makes it even harder. But who am I complaining to? I’m sure your schedule is even more packed.' I babbled, feeling a bit embarrassed that I hadn’t stopped talking. It was just a simple question—no need to turn it into a whole essay.
She listened closely the entire time, trying to keep up with me. "Really? You’re very ambitious about your job. I like that. You mentioned the USA. Are you writing for an American college?"
I felt seen, and it made me feel special. I adore her so much. I gathered my thoughts again to answer her.
"Yes! I went to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and have always had a passion for writing. They had a women’s football team that was still in its early stages. They inspired me so much that I decided to write about them in the weekly college newspaper. Sorry for beating around the bush, yes, I write for an American college." My cheeks turned red because, once again, I rambled on.
I noticed the sudden change in her behavior. "Wait, really?" She looked at me, kind of stunned and questioning. "I’ve been to UNC too, before signing professionally for Arsenal. Do you mean the North Carolina Tar Heels? I played for them while you were writing for them."
I widened my eyes in disbelief. "That caught me off guard—wow. We’ve been so close and never talked to each other."
“It’s like we were orbiting each other,” she said one day, her voice thoughtful. “Like we were always meant to meet, but the timing just wasn’t right.”
Her words stuck with me, replaying in my mind long after she’d said them.
---------
Over the next few weeks, sometimes Lotte would bring me a coffee. A few days later, I noticed something as she handed me the cup. "Since when do you get your coffee from that shop near Covent Garden? The one with the green awning?" She looked confused and stuttered, "Since forever. It's my favorite coffee shop. Do you know it?"
"Are you joking? I worked there a few years ago."
“I can’t believe this. It’s like we’ve been circling each other our whole lives.”
This connection with Lotte feels so magical, I can’t even process how life always seemed to bring us together.
“Maybe it’s fate,” you said softly, the words slipping out before you could stop them.
She smiled, a slow, knowing smile that made your heart skip a beat. “Maybe it is.”
-------
As the weeks turned into months, your relationship with Lotte continued to grow stronger. The bond you shared deepened, built on a foundation of shared history and the undeniable pull you felt toward each other.
One evening, as you sat on her couch with a cup of tea in hand, she reached over and intertwined her fingers with yours.
“You know,” she said softly, her voice quiet, “I’ve always believed in timing. That everything happens when it’s meant to.”
You looked at her, your heart full. “And what about us? What does this timing mean?”
She smiled, her eyes warm and steady. “It means we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be.”
And for the first time, you believed her.
