A little over a year has passed since my old life ended, since I died and was reborn. The shadows remain, but only to give contrast to the light. I am no longer a distaff impersonation of someone else — I’m me, more me than I have ever been. I embrace it, and the light.

We've had another busy week in music, once again. Here's a quick recap from me:
youtube
Who by Jimin
I had really high expectations, but Jimin still managed to blow me away. This song has an irresistible Y2K-ish charm that made me fall head over heels. I think I might love it even more than Like Crazy.
youtube
Dead Man by Alessia Cara
Damn, what an incredible song. She truly found the perfect single to showcase all her skills. It's more than worth the wait, that's for sure, and I hope the album is just as great.
youtube
Chk Chk Boom by Stray Kids
This is one hell of a bop. It got my body moving from like the very first note. I wish it was longer, but the short length doesn't undermine its impact.
youtube
Cardinal by Kacey Musgraves
I'm so happy she made a music video for this, cause it's probably my favorite track in the album. And the video perfectly captures the mysticism of the vocals, the lyrics and the music.

@amurderofcrxws
ARMS weave their way across Aly’s waist. Closer and she’s pulled right up against him; closer and everything in his head goes quiet. This, he’s come to know, is what he's been put in this world for. Peppered kisses litter the column of her neck, grip tightening as he inhales the scent of her. "Do we have to go," he whines, content in hiding out here right in the juncture of her jaw. "Didn't we just celebrate Dad's birthday last year?" They won't be allowed to miss it, he knows this; knows that Amelia would dangle their little family business over his girlfriend's head if she has to. It's a small price to pay but one he's never going to stop complaining about. The noose of his surname tightens every time he's forced to pull Alessia into their little world. "Promise me we'll only stay an hour tops."

@prophvtics liked this for a starter !
she was supposed to be home alone. she'd been told, promised, that she'd be home alone. wouldn't have started a session during the middle of the afternoon otherwise, because she gets a little loud sometimes, depending on the toy her viewers decide to vote on, and this side hustle of hers isn't something she likes to broadcast. (it's why she prefers to wait until nighttime most days, when her roommate is usually out partying or working, depending on the day, and she's free to moan and spew filth while watching the digital coins and gifts roll in.) so when the door to her room opens unexpectedly, her laptop perched on the bed and a vibrator at her clit, alessia's fairly certain she has the twenty-one year old's version of a heart attack. "what the fuck are you doing?" hands scramble to shut her laptop and grab the top sheet, though she's fairly certain it's a lost cause at this point. "jesus christ, you're supposed to knock first!"

you think this is a joke ? (for Finn)
Truth be told, seldom was funny for Finn. A joke here and there by Kol once in a blue moon, or Maybe Elijah putting Klaus in his place, but seldom else. "I don't know, does this appear to be a face of amusement? Maybe after all this time I've lost my ability to properly discern emotions."

Aspen knew that showing up unexpected and Alessias' door may not have been the best thing - but in all the years they had known each other, it was something that just happened between the two of them. It had been months since they had seen each other, considering she was overseas, experiencing everything that life had to offer. She hadn't even told the other woman she was back in the country yet. Arching her brow, Aspen didn't know if she should believe her friend or not - this whole time they had been having a nice catch up, and she wasn't showing signs of being unwell. "Lessia..." The blonde trailed off, shuffling closer to the other woman. "Are you sure that it's just you feeling unwell?" She didn't know whether to broach the subject, maybe she should have given the other woman a heads up she was coming over - hoping that she hadn't upset her. "What?" Aspen asked, tilting her head in confusion. "What's going on?" This certainly wasn't the Alessia that she knew.
open to: males & females
connection: childhood friend, old roommate, sibling's friend, ex, former fwb.
please do not like my starters
"as fun as this visit has been, i really am busy," said alessia as calmly as she could. she had been doing her best to stop her voice from shaking. their visit had been unexpected and she had been forced to stop the show. she hadn't exactly had enough time to get the toy that she had been using out of her. it was on low but buzzing away consistently," please-it's just-oh-i'm really-really not feeling well!" that was the exact opposite of true but they didn't need to know that. she was too scared to actually get up to walk them to the door. instead she bit down on her lip before forcing herself to smile," i promise we will-will do something soon but oh-my god!"

That's How You Know It's Home
Lia Wälti x Russo!Reader
Word Count: 938
[The Thing About Families Masterlist]
You’re comfortable when you wake. Your face is tucked into a neck, a warm body pressed to your front, fingers gently sifting through your hair.
You let out a happy hum, the gentle massage doing wonders for your pounding head.
Rarely finding the ability to wake at your own leisure, this is one of the only positive things about finding yourself out with a cold. It’s been only two days, but you’re already finding yourself replenished by the extra hours of sleep.
Another happy noise comes out of your mouth when the hand finds a particularly tender spot on your head. You’re slowly drifting back off to sleep when soft musings hit your ears.
“You’re cuddly when you don’t feel good.”
It’s almost comical the speed at which you throw yourself backwards at the sound of the voice.
A familiar blonde gives you a toothy grin from across the bed, fingers fluttering in a mini wave.
“Alessia, what are you doing here?” you groan, fixing your sister with a glare before smashing your pillow across your face. If you try hard enough you might just be able to smother yourself to death.
Deft fingers think otherwise, quick to lift the cushion off your face.
“I’m here to provide the best care for my favorite sister, of course.”
“I’m your only sister.”
Alessia shrugs. “My point still stands.”
When you finally muster up the strength to get out of your bed, it’s almost as if you’re transported 20 years into the past. You can’t seem to take a step without the shadow of your sister following after you. It starts with your trip to the closet. You don’t think much about Alessia trailing you to grab a change of clothes, but then she bumps into you at least five times as you try to pull your jumper on.
It only gets worse when you try to make your way to the bathroom. It’s already hard enough to ignore the eyes burning into your face through the mirror as you try to brush your teeth, but the crux of your issues comes when you try to give her the hint to give you space, heavily implying she might be more comfortable waiting on your bed only to be hit with a simple “no thank you, I’m fine here!”
When it looks like she’s going to follow you into the shower you finally put your foot down.
“I’m sick, not invalid. Let me shower in peace.”
“With Lia out on injury and you being… you,” Alessia ducks to avoid your swatting hand, “we weren’t going to take any chances.”
It takes a minute for you to digest what exactly she’s telling you. And when it sinks in, you know you’re going to regret asking the clarifying question. “We?”
Lia’s waiting in the living room when you and Alessia eventually leave the bedroom.
You’re relieved at first to see your girlfriend hasn’t drifted far, but the good feelings are quick to dissipate at the sight of a familiar menace sitting on her other side.
“Don’t you have a home? Or other Aussies to bother?”
Kyra sticks her tongue out at you, shuffling closer to Lia’s side.
You give Lia a look but she shrugs. “They brought us pastries.”
“From that place across the stadium?” you raise your eyebrow, noting the logo on the bag set upon the table.
Alessia presses a chocolate croissant in your hand, a kiss against your check, and then slides right into a spot next to Kyra on the couch. “Like I said, anything for my favorite sister.”
You eye the pastry with distrust but begrudgingly take a bite when Lia gives you her perfected ‘mom’ look. “Let me guess. Kim sent the two of you?”
Your sister scoffs. “I take offense to your tone of voice.”
Alessia falters at the look you give her. Kyra receives an elbow from the forward, something which she responds to with a hard shove. Alessia goes tumbling to the ground, but not before Kyra tries to give you an innocent smile. “Leah sent us!”
Instantly you’re choking, hacking through your mouthful of croissant. Lia gives you a comforting rub on the back, but it does little to soothe your racing heart.
“Relax babe. Katie sent them.”
“And that’s supposed to make me feel better?”
With a nod from Lia, both Alessia and Kyra go scurrying to your kitchen. You’re too drained to even question what they’re up to, eager to cuddle into the arms that Lia opens for you.
Lia drops her voice when you get near, making sure she can’t be overheard by the other two. “Don’t tell your sister, but we’re supposed to babysit the two of them. Captain’s order.”
You’re not sure if you’ve heard her correctly, but the grimace on Lia’s face is all you need to know you’ve heard her exactly right. “Babysit?! Babe, you’re injured, I’m sick. Together we’re like half a person at most. How in the world are we supposed to supervise these hyperactive children?”
As if to prove your point, something loud crashes in the kitchen, instantly followed by bickering from the two younger girls.
“Look what you’ve done!” Alessia hisses.
“What I’ve done? You spilled the flour!”
It doesn’t even take a minute before Lia’s sighing and pulling out her phone. “I’ll get some reinforcements.”
---
When you open the door half an hour later to see your vice captain, you almost slam the door in her face.
“Lia! Adding another child for us to babysit is the opposite of helping!”
In her defense, Leah doesn’t look happy to be here either.

Me and You Forever
summary: a few stolen moments between you and Alessia on your wedding day
warnings: just fluff
a/n: based on this request. Thanks anon!
word count: 985
-
“You’re not supposed to be here. It’s bad luck”
“I know, but I needed to see you”
You look over your shoulder quickly so see if anyone was paying attention to you. They weren’t, for what seemed like the first time in 24 hours, so you take your chance and slip away.
The corridor is quiet as the door clicks closed, and it feels odd to have escaped the entourage of your bridal party. They’ve all been great, of course they have, but being the center of attention is draining and you feel as though you’re being held hostage at your own wedding.
“Hi,” she whispers.
“Hi back”
The two of you shuffle on the spot like teenagers on a first date. Smirking as you catch each other's eye trying to steal a glance at the other.
“I have a confession,” Alessia says after a moment.
“You’re not planning on leaving me at the altar are you? Because that would be really embarrassing”
“No, never that. I wanted to come and give you something”
You frown because what else could she possibly give you. You’re already about to take her name, share her life. She’s given you everything you could possibly ask for, and more.
“Turn around”
You do, because it’s Alessia, and no doesn’t have a place in your vocabulary when it comes to her. So you stare at the brick wall with bated breath, gasping when something cold is wrapped around your neck.
“A little something for good luck”
You tuck in your chin to look down at the pendant settled against your chest.
“It’s a key” she explains from behind you, and when you turn you can see her eyes shining in the Italian sun as it streams through the window. “A key to our future, our adventures, and all the happiness life has to offer”
A surge of emotion propels you forward, and before you know it your lips are on hers. A spontaneous, passionate thing that has you melting into her when she wraps her arms around you.
“I thought we were supposed to save the kiss until after we say I do?” She chuckles when you both pull away.
“It's either that or I start crying”
“Oh, well we can’t have that now, can we?” She teases and leans in again.
-
It’s strange, really.
You’ve professed your love to someone in a capacity that means they’re yours forever. The other half of the rest of your life. Yet, you’ve barely had a minute together since you signed the papers.
You’ve been pulled this way and that. Dragged to every corner of the venue to make pleasantries with grandmas and cousins and plus ones. Something you expected, in reality, but you didn’t realise how relentless it would be.
As you politely nod along to Alessia’s Great Uncle’s ramblings, your mind begins to wander, seeking solace from the repetitive small talk and familial obligations. You steal a moment to let your eyes drift around the room, taking in the familiar faces of friends and family alike.
Then you spot her over the sea of heads. Not because she’s tall and in heels, but because she’s yours and you share a soul. Like the moon and the tide. One seeking the other.
She feels it too, you muse, because her eyes meet yours not a second later. As if drawn by an invisible thread, her gaze locks with yours, and in that brief exchange, you share a silent conversation that transcends the noise of the room.
There’s a warmth in her eyes, a depth of understanding that speaks volumes without a single word uttered.
She’s stuck in a conversation she’d rather not be having, too. She smirks when you figure it out. You smirk when she rolls her eyes as her mother drags her away to another group of eager guests who demand her attention.
Her Uncle is still talking when you tune back in.
-
Loving Alessia is easy. Especially when the dipping sun paints her soft and sweet. Especially when the weight of today now sits firmly and comfortably on your finger.
"What are you thinking about?" she asks as she plays with the hairs on the back of your neck. You’re not sure if it’s the breeze of the Italian evening pricking your skin, or her touch. Perhaps both. Or neither. Or everything in between.
"Nothing. Everything"
"Sounds complicated”
You turn in your seat to face her. She's dressed only in an oversized t-shirt. An old one of yours she stole back in the days you were apart for longer than a day or two. You’re wrapped in a bed sheet, but the balcony is private enough that she doesn’t mind your boldness.
"Today was perfect," you say, your gaze meeting hers.
Alessia smirks, a playful glint in her eyes. "Well, I hope so. I did put a lot of effort into planning this whole wedding thing”
You chuckle, "You're right. I'm just here for the free food and the fancy dress”
She laughs and it’s beautiful, "Oh, so it's not about the undying love and commitment?"
"Those too," you tease, leaning in closer. "But mostly the food”
Alessia nudges you playfully, "You're lucky I love you, or I might’ve taken offense to that”
“Yeah? And what would you do about it, huh?” you counter, a mischievous glint in your eyes.
She smirks, “Well, maybe I’d have to consider the ‘love and cherish you till death us do part’ section of my vows”
You playfully raise an eyebrow, “Are you threatening me with divorce on our wedding night, Russo?”
Alessia leans in, her voice dropping to a husky whisper, “maybe, maybe not. It depends on if you’re willing to push your luck, Russo”
You hum, feeling the warmth of her breath against your skin, “I’ll take my chances. After all, I’ve got a lifetime to make it up to you”

Muse II
Alessia Russo x Popstar!Reader
Summary: You attend one of Alessia's matches
"Russo...Russo! Russo! For god's sake, Russo!"
Alessia grinned to herself before turning to look at Katie.
The stadium was barely half full but there was enough chatter and excitement to make it seem like it was packed twenty times over.
You were up on the big screen, a shy smile on your face as you waved for the camera. Underneath your smiling face was a title banner emblazoned 'y/n l/n, International Pop Sensation'.
"What?" She laughed.
"What d'you mean, 'what'?" Katie crossed her arms over her chest as they ran through their warm ups. "Your girl's up there. Think you can introduce us?"
"Why?" Alessia teased," Have you got a crush, Macca?"
"Pssh!" Katie shoved her with an eye roll. "Nah, I ain't stealin' your missus but my little sister's a big fan. Reckon I can make her jealous by snapping a pic of me and your girl."
"After the match," Alessia laughed," She'll end up on the pitch one way or another. She can probably be convinced to send your sister a video messaged. She's a sweetie like that."
Katie raised a brow in silent judgement as she threw an arm over Alessia's shoulder. "God, you've got it bad, Russo. Who knew you were such a snap?"
●~●~●~●~
Periodically, the overhead camera would switch to you.
It brought a smile to Alessia's face whenever she saw you. It boosted her even more when it switched to you when she had the ball - a look of absolute joy and wonder on your face as you screamed something that the camera couldn't pick up.
"Come on, Russo!" Katie yelled," Stop staring at your missus. She's not going anywhere!"
Alessia laughed, looking back at the big screen one last time before following Katie to the other side of the pitch.
The next time she had the ball in her possession, it was a struggle not to look at the screen, knowing that your face would be on it - cameras loved you, after all.
The ball was at her feet and she weaved between defending players like it was easy, sending the ball to the top left corner and straight passed the keeper's outstretched hands.
The rest of the team joined her in celebration a fraction of a second later and Alessia finally dared to look up at you.
You were going crazy - standing on you seat, screaming and clapping in a way that was definitely going to make you hoarse in the throat tomorrow morning.
Your shoulders were moving side to side in celebration as you jumped up and down. You turned to speak to whoever was next to you (either your bodyguard or manager, Alessia didn't really care) and the camera caught the number '23' and surname 'Russo' on the back of your Arsenal jersey, making it very clear who you were here to support.
"Jesus," Katie said when she followed Alessia's eye roll," I thought dating her meant you weren't meant to get star struck. Careful there, Russo, or the whole world will know what an utter simp you are."
Alessia rolled her eyes. "Do you even know what that means?"
●~●~●~●~
The results of the match ended with a very healthy four-nil win to Arsenal and Alessia was hyped up on adrenaline even though she had just played the full ninety minutes.
She rocked back and forth on her heels as she waited for you to make your way onto the pitch, busying herself with signing a few jerseys and posters as she waited.
You had disappeared off the big screen at some point into extra time, your seat remaining empty but Alessia knew it was only a matter of time before you appeared by her side.
She was acutely aware of the camera following her when she caught sight of you walking through the tunnel, not focussing on anything but her.
You collided in a mess of limbs and hair as arms looped around your waist and lifted you into the air, spinning enough times that you had to wrap your arms around the back of her neck to stay upright.
"Hi, Lessi," You said softly when you were placed back on your feet," I missed you."
"Missed you too," Lessi replied, although her words were muted by the way she had buried her face in your hair. She pulled away with a lopsided grin. "Did you see my goal? Did you see it?"
"I did see it," You replied," Absolutely stunning, Lessi baby. Keep scoring goals like that and you'll end up in another song."
"She's in all your songs," The final member of UNC-squad said with an eye roll.
"Not all of them!" You protested but the pointed look from Lotte had you wilting. "It's true! She's not in all of them! Some of them are about my family!"
"How many is that? One or two?" Lotte laughed.
You huffed in annoyance but still welcomed the hug she gave you.
The camera had been firmly on the three of your for a while now but it seemed none of you cared - even though the lingering crowd screamed their approval every time Alessia dipped down to steal a kiss as you spoke to Lotte.
"Ew," Katie said as she approached as well, nose wrinkled in disgust," You and the missus are disgutin', Russo. You always sucking face with her or what?"
"They were worse at UNC," Lotte said," All those hormones and no parental supervision. I had to make a rota saying when they were allowed to make out with each other otherwise they both would have flunked out."
"Stop airing out private information, Lotte!" You said, face slowly heating up in embarrassment. You couldn't even look up at the big screen, not wanting to see your blushing face. "Can't we talk about something else?"
"Oh!" Lessi said, stealing another kiss," Macca wants a picture with you to make her sister jealous!"
You grinned. "That I can do. I can do video message to her, if you want, McCabe. I've got a tour coming up too. Could probably swing some VIP tickets for her, if she wants."
"Jesus, Russo. Your missus is probably a bigger sweetie than you said."

Queen of the Couch
Alessia Russo x Reader
Word count: 1.5k
_________________________________________________
It had been a grueling week for Alessia. With training ramping up before the next big match, she had been giving everything she had on the pitch—running drills, pushing herself harder than ever, and perfecting her technique. By the time Friday evening rolled around, you could see the exhaustion etched across her features, despite her usual bubbly demeanor.
As her girlfriend, you knew exactly what she needed: a night where she could relax and be pampered. Alessia deserved to be spoiled, and you were more than happy to do just that.
You had spent the day preparing, lining up her favorite snacks, choosing a selection of her go-to comfort movies, and making sure the house was spotless so she wouldn’t have to lift a finger. Everything was set for the perfect night in. You even had her favorite fluffy blanket washed and ready to wrap around her like a cozy cocoon.
"Less!" you called from the kitchen as you stirred the final touches into a rich hot chocolate, knowing full well how much she loved it. "Baby, your hot chocolate’s ready, and I picked up that popcorn you like—the one with caramel."
You could hear a muffled groan from the living room, and it wasn’t long before Alessia’s voice, warm and a little lazy, drifted back to you. "You’re trying to spoil me, aren’t you?"
"Absolutely!" you replied, a smile spreading across your face. "You deserve it. Now sit your cute self down and let me take care of everything tonight."
Walking into the living room, you found Alessia sprawled across the couch, her long legs stretched out comfortably. She was already wearing the soft gray Arsenal hoodie you had laid out for her and a pair of old, well-worn sweatpants. Her hair, still damp from the shower, was piled up into a messy bun. Her eyes lit up when she saw you holding the steaming mug of hot chocolate.
“You’re spoiling me rotten,” she said with a smirk, sitting up just enough for you to hand her the mug.
“Only because you deserve it.” You sat down beside her, resting your head against her shoulder for a moment. “You’ve worked so hard this week, Less. Let me take care of you for once.”
Alessia took a sip of the hot chocolate and let out a little hum of approval. “Mmm, this is perfect. How did I get so lucky, huh?” She shot you a sideways glance, that signature cheeky smile curling her lips.
You reached up and gently ran your fingers through her damp hair, smiling as you watched her relax into your touch. “I’m the lucky one. But tonight, no talking about football, no stressing about training. It’s just us, some cheesy movies, and you being pampered. Got it?”
“Yes, ma’am,” she teased, giving you a playful salute before sinking back into the couch. “I’m all yours.”
---
After making sure Alessia was comfortable, you ran back to the kitchen to grab the bowl of popcorn and caramel pieces mixed together, just the way she liked it, and a few chocolate bars that you knew she could never say no to. You also made sure to grab a bottle of wine—something light and sweet, perfect for unwinding after a long week.
When you returned, Alessia had already snuggled up under the blanket, her eyes glued to the TV screen as the opening credits of one of her favorite rom-coms started to roll.
“Popcorn for the queen,” you said, placing the bowl in her lap and sitting down beside her again. She shifted slightly to make room for you, her body immediately gravitating toward yours, like a magnet.
“You’re really going all out tonight, huh?” Alessia mused, her hand finding its way to your thigh, where she gave you a gentle squeeze.
“Well, you’ve had a tough week,” you said softly, leaning into her side. “You deserve a little TLC.”
Alessia chuckled, her breath warm against your ear as she leaned down to press a kiss to your temple. “You’re spoiling me, but I’m not complaining. I could get used to this.”
The movie played in the background, though neither of you paid much attention. Instead, Alessia absentmindedly fed you popcorn, alternating between popping pieces into her own mouth and yours. Her fingers brushed your lips each time she fed you, and you couldn’t help but smile at how tender and sweet she was being.
“You’re adorable, you know that?” you murmured, turning your head to catch her hand mid-motion, kissing the tips of her fingers.
Alessia’s cheeks flushed a soft pink, but she didn’t pull away. Instead, she met your gaze, her blue eyes sparkling with affection. “Yeah? I could say the same about you, babe.”
For a while, the two of you just sat like that—her hand resting on your thigh, your fingers intertwined with hers as you enjoyed the simple comfort of being together. There was something so peaceful about nights like these, where the world seemed to slow down, and it was just the two of you.
---
As the movie credits rolled, Alessia let out a long, content sigh, her body going limp against you. “I’m so comfy right now,” she muttered, her voice drowsy.
You shifted slightly, looking over at her with a smile. “You look like you’re about to fall asleep.”
“Maybe,” she admitted, stretching her arms above her head. “But I’m not ready for bed just yet.”
“How about a massage?” you suggested, watching as her eyes lit up at the offer. “Your muscles must be sore after training.”
“Oh, you know just how to get me,” she said with a grin, rolling over so she was lying on her stomach, her head resting on a pillow.
You couldn’t help but laugh at how quickly she agreed, but you were more than happy to indulge her. Kneeling beside her on the couch, you placed your hands on her back, starting with gentle pressure on her shoulders. Alessia let out a contented hum, her body instantly relaxing beneath your touch.
“You’re amazing,” she mumbled into the pillow, her voice muffled but full of appreciation.
“I know,” you teased, your hands working their way down her back, kneading out the knots you could feel in her muscles. “But seriously, you deserve this, Less. You’ve been working so hard lately.”
“Mmm, don’t stop,” she groaned, her back arching slightly as you pressed into a particularly tight spot. “God, that feels good.”
You bit your lip, feeling a small thrill at her reaction. There was something incredibly satisfying about being the one to make Alessia feel good, to take care of her after everything she did both on and off the pitch.
“Glad you like it,” you said softly, your hands continuing their slow, methodical work. “You’re so tense. We should make this a regular thing.”
Alessia let out a contented sigh, turning her head slightly to look at you with half-lidded eyes. “I wouldn’t say no to that.”
You worked your way down to her lower back, your fingers moving in slow, deliberate circles. Every now and then, Alessia would let out a small moan or sigh, her body melting more and more into the couch as you continued.
“You’re like putty in my hands,” you teased, leaning down to press a soft kiss to her exposed shoulder blade.
“Shut up,” Alessia murmured, but there was no bite to her words. If anything, she seemed more relaxed than ever, a lazy smile playing on her lips as she let you pamper her.
After a few more minutes, you finally pulled back, satisfied with your work. Alessia rolled onto her back, blinking up at you with a soft, almost dazed expression.
“You’re too good to me,” she said, her voice low and affectionate. “How did I ever get so lucky?”
You smiled, leaning down to kiss her softly on the lips. “I’m the lucky one, remember?”
---
After the massage, Alessia pulled you down onto the couch with her, wrapping her arms around you and holding you close. The warmth of her body against yours was comforting, and you snuggled into her embrace, feeling completely content.
For a while, the two of you just lay there, tangled up in each other, the sound of the TV in the background providing a soft soundtrack to your evening. Alessia’s fingers traced lazy patterns on your arm, and you found yourself getting lost in the simple intimacy of the moment.
“I love nights like this,” she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. “Just you and me, no distractions.”
“Me too,” you replied, your hand resting on her chest, feeling the steady rhythm of her heartbeat beneath your palm. “I could stay like this forever.”
Alessia hummed in agreement, her hand moving to cup your cheek, gently guiding your face up so she could kiss you again. The kiss was soft and slow, filled with all the love and tenderness that had been building up between you throughout the night.
When you finally pulled away, Alessia rested her forehead against yours, her breath warm against your lips. “You know how much I love you, right?”
You smiled, your heart swelling at her words. “I love you too, Less. So much.”
The rest of the night passed in a blur of soft touches and quiet moments, the two of you wrapped up in your little bubble of love and warmth. You didn’t need anything else—just each other.

Make it to Christmas
Inspired by Make it to Christmas by Alessia Cara
Info: Y/n and Casey both know their relationship would be better of done, but y/n wants them to stick it out till the end of the festivities.
Relationship: Casey x Halstead sister
Y/n lay on her shared bed with Casey, watching the lights that passed by their window. Colourful lights appeared every now and then, signs of the Christmas period that had came upon them all too quickly. She listened to the shower cut off from the bathroom and sat up, waiting for Casey to turn up. As usual she had the day off while Casey was working, which meant that they would once again not be spending any time together. The odd time y/n would hang around the firehouse, just to see her boyfriend, but that was awkward since they would always be interrupted with the sound of the bell.
“Morning, did I wake you?” Casey asked, walking into the room while he towel dried his hair. “No, just watching the lights.” Y/n sighed, looking out the window. “I love that look on your face.” Casey smiled, moving to lean over y/n. “What look?” Y/n asked, confused. “The joy of knowing what time of year it is. Christmas brings out the best in you.” Matt smiled, giving her a peck on the lips. “Will there be much point in me going to visit you later on?” Y/n asked, watching as Casey tied his shoe laces before grabbing his jacket. “If you want.” Casey sighed, zipping up his jacket. “If you don’t want me to just say.” Y/n exclaimed, rolling her eyes slightly. “Come if you want, your welcome to visit us.” Casey stated, grabbing his bag before walking out. “I love you.” He called out as he grabbed his keys. “I love you too.” Y/n mumbled, hearing the front door close.
We were warm and wonderful Once upon a time But now we're frozen, hanging by a thread Can we wait a minute? Or can we just try to try? 'Cause my favourite day is coming up ahead
Y/n laughed to herself as she struggled to put on her gloves over her hands. Chicago had hit the cold weather, and while y/n loved the aesthetics of it, she hated being cold. With time on her own, she had decided to visit the Christmas market to waste some time. Her and Casey had planned on doing it, but neither of them seemed to find the time together. Their days off were rare now, when they first started going out they made an effort to have at least one day off a week, but now they’d be lucky to have that off per month. Y/n knew that Casey’s job was demanding, but she still wished they could make it work.
Casey sat in his office, leaning his head against his hand as he stared out the window. He smiled softly at the children that passed by, throwing what little snow was present at each other. His vision stopped when he caught sight of a couple walking down the road, the guys arm wrapped around his girls as he rubbed it up and down, attempting to help her keep warm. Casey could only sigh, there was a time when he and y/n would do that, walk some random night and just enjoy each other’s comfort. They had spent 4 Christmases together as a couple, and each year they would go to the Christmas market and just stroll around, purely to spend time together. They had a set date, and it had become something that y/n thoroughly enjoyed each year, marking the start of the festive holiday.
Deciding to go out for some air, Casey grabbed his jacket that was thrown on his cot before walking through the canteen. Hermann yelled something at him but he just shrugged it off, bumping into Kelly as he went through the door to the pit. Throwing his hands into his pockets, he leaned against the wall, looking around outside. He looked to the side when he heard a laugh.
“You always do that when our frustrated.” Y/n mused, coming to a stop beside him. “Hey.” Casey smiled, pushing off the wall to face y/n. “You ok?” She asked. “Yea I’m fine.” Casey sighed with a smile before looking down to see something in her hands, “What’s this?” “Oh I uhh, went to the Christmas market today, got you guys some treats to keep you going.” Y/n smiled, offering them to Casey. “I thought we were going to go together?” Casey asked, confused on why y/n went alone. “We can still go together, I just went cause I had the time off.” Y/n shrugged, biting her lip slightly. “Yea, next time.” Casey nodded, deciding not to push on it anymore. “Come on in, I’m sure the guys would be delighted to see you.” “Me or the goodies?” Y/n asked, raising an eyebrow. “Maybe the goodies.” Casey admitted with a slight chuckle.
Y/n shook her head with laughter before allowing Casey to push her towards the entrance. She didn’t see the slight disappointment Casey had while she greeted Kelly with a hug. He could only watch as the guys greeted her with cheers, Mouch kissing her cheek as he took the box from her. Kelly glanced between the couple, nodding his head slightly.
Darling, I know that our love is going cold It's just something 'bout the snow this time of year That makes us lose our way, just say we'll make up And hold on a little longer Don't have me spending it alone This time of year is precious Please, can we make it to Christmas? Can we make it to Christmas?
Y/n smiled softly as she said her goodbyes to the crew from firehouse 51. They had devoured the treats she had brought for them, and with it growing late y/n decided it would be better if she started to make her way home. There would no doubt be ice on the roads, and Casey knew how much she hated driving in them conditions. Usually, he would offer her to stay with him in his office, but there was something in him that stopped him this time. So he opted to walk her out while Boden and her talked.
“You take care on those roads y/n, conditions are lethal.” Boden spoke, pointing at the young girl in front of her. “I will Boden, thank you.” Y/n smiled, placing a hand on Boden’s arm in thanks. “Don’t want to get a call and see you in there.” Boden commenting causing Casey to winch. “And with that lovely thought, I am going to head.” Y/n joked with a smile, turning to Casey. “Don’t be a stranger.” Boden commented, he always had a soft spot for y/n from the moment she was introduced to them.
Y/n and Casey watched the chief walk back into the building before turning to face each other. Y/n played with her hands with the cold, and Casey smiled at the sight. Y/n was never one for the cold, and Casey always wondered why she loved a holiday that was surrounded by cold conditions. Turning his head to see Kelly and Squad watching them from their table, so went to grab y/n’s hand, intertwining their hands before guiding her to her car across the road.
“Drive safe.” Casey commented, opening the door for her. “Of course.” Y/n smiled back.” “Text when home.” Casey stated. “I always do.” Y/n smiled and Casey moved to kiss her cheek. “See you tomorrow.” Casey spoke, slight hope. “I’m meeting Jay and Will tomorrow evening, might stay there for night.” Y/n shrugged and Casey looked down. “I’ll call in.” Casey stated, looking at y/n. “Sure.” Y/n smiled, before moving to close the door behind her.
Casey knocked on the top of the roof before stepping away, watching y/n drive down the road.
can we just make it to Christmas? (Everything will be alright) can we just make it to Christmas? (If we just hold on, hold on) can we just make it to Christmas? (Hold on) make it to Christmas Don't know what I'll say to Dad when he sees the empty chair Don't want to hear my Mum say, "Told you so" Waiting for Santa in my bed is no fun if you're not there And I don't want to be angry at mistletoes
Y/n breathed deeply as she moved to knock against her brothers apartment door. She smiled slightly as she seen the reed that was nailed to the front door. It was the same reed that had been in the family from the first year of their parents marriage. In a fit of rage the Halstead’s father was going to throw out everything to do with their mother, but Jay had managed to get a hold of them, keeping bits for them and giving some to Will and y/n.
Jay opened the door with a smile on his face, before frowning slightly when he seen y/n on her own. For the last two years all three Halstead’s had been in a relationship, and their annual Christmas movie night had turned into the three couples spending time together. Will and Natalie were there, and Hailey was on the way back with takeaway, and the plan was for Casey and y/n to arrive together.
“Where’s Casey?” Jay asked his sister in confusion. “I was working so came from there. Casey said he’ll call in.” Y/n smiled at her brother, walking into the apartment. “Did you guys have a falling out?” Jay asked as he closed the door. “No, just I was working late and he finished work this morning so we missed each other. He’ll probably be here shortly. Hey Will, Natalie.” Y/n explained before moving and sitting beside her older brother on the couch. “Hey y/n.” Natalie smiled as Will looked over at Jay with a raised eye brow.
It wasn’t long till Haley arrived home with dinner. She gave her sister in law a look when she seen y/n on her own, and turned to Jay who shook his head as if to say he didn’t know. The group allowed y/n to pick the first film, and each groaned when they seen the polar express start playing.
“That films creepy.” Jay whined, causing y/n to roll her eyes. “No it’s not.” Y/n commented. “Oh yes it is. The animations make the guy look weird.” Will stated, and Natalie hit his chest. “Stop complaining.” Y/n spoke, crossing her arms as she sat in between the two couples.
To an outsider it would look like y/n was third wheeling a double date night, but Jay and Will watched their sister with sadness. They both knew that y/n and Casey loved doing festive things together, and watching movies was no different. It was their ‘date night’ each week, they’d order in and watch a series of some sort. Casey would often pick a horror movie just for y/n to cuddle up on him.
Casey arrived to the apartment late into the night, beers in hand. Jay greeted him with a smirk and bro hug before leading him into the apartment. Y/n just smiled at him as the fireman shredded his coat and moved to sit beside her. Seeing her brothers watching, y/n moved to lay her head on Casey, and Casey kissed her head, wrapping an arm around her as they finished off the third movie of the night.
Darling, I know that our love is going cold It's just something 'bout the snow this time of year That makes us lose our way, just say we'll make up And hold on a little longer Don't have me spending it alone This time of year is precious Please, can we make it to Christmas? Can we make it to Christmas? can we just make it to Christmas? (Everything will be alright) can we just make it to Christmas? (If we just hold on, hold on) can we just make it to Christmas? (Hold on) make it to Christmas (Christmastime) can we just make it to Christmas? (Everything will be alright) can we just make it to Christmas? (If we just hold on, hold on) can we just make it to Christmas? (Hold on)
Y/n and Casey walked to y/n’s car, turning to wave to Jay and Hailey as they headed home for the night. Casey had been with Kelly for the day, getting the Christmas tree, so he had Kelly drop him off at Jays. The journey home was a little quiet, and y/n sighed, moving to turn up the radio. Like every year, y/n had turned the radio to the Christmas station, and Casey frowned as a new song came on. He looked at y/n as she began to sing along.
“Darling I know, that our love is growing cold.” Y/n mumbled softly, watching the road carefully. “Do you think that?” Casey asked suddenly, shocking her. “Casey it’s just a song, I…” Y/n started only for Casey to interrupt her. “We have been growing apart lately, I can’t be the only one who’s seeing it.” Casey explained, and y/n looks down. “I was hoping we were going through a rough patch. It happens for couples.” Y/n sighed, turning her attention to the road once again. “Have we done anything together lately.” “We did tonight.” “Because I remembered it after you said you were going there.” Casey exclaimed, and y/n shook her head. “Our jobs are crazy right now.” Y/n tried to justify. “Our jobs were always crazy y/n, you’re a lawyer, I’m a firefighter, it’s part of the job. But we used to make sure we had at least one day off together, or an evening we would spend together. Now, it’s like we’re not even trying, using work as an excuse to what is really going on.” Casey stated, and y/n pursed her lips to avoid talking. “So what does this mean?” Y/n asked softly, not wanting to think of it. “I don’t know y/n. I really don’t know.” Casey sighed, looking down at his hands.
Darling, I know that our love is going cold It's just something 'bout the snow this time of year That makes us lose our way, just say we'll make up And hold on a little longer Don't have me spending it alone This time of year is precious Break my heart on Boxing Day Just, please, can we make it to Christmas? can we just make it to Christmas? (Everything will be alright) can we just make it to Christmas? (If we just hold on, hold on) can we just make it to Christmas? (Hold on) make it to Christmas (yeah) (Christmastime) can we just make it to Christmas? (Everything will be alright) can we just make it to Christmas? (If we just hold on, hold on) can we just make it to Christmas?
The apartment was warm when they walked in, but it was a clear contrast to how the couple that walked into it were feeling. Y/n couldn’t look at Casey as she took off her winter coat and kit, before moving to the kitchen and turning on the kettle. Casey sighed as he hung up the two coats before following her, wrapping her arms around y/n’s waist from behind. His eyes misted over as she flinched from his touch.
“Please don’t do that to me.” Casey begged, hating him flinching at him. “Sorry, I just don’t want this to end.” Y/n spoke, her voice wavering with emotion. “I don’t either, but we’re making excuses for things that used to be simple. I don’t want to hurt you but if we hold on it’ll hurt more.” “Can we wait it out. We can work on it.” Y/n begged, moving to face him. “We can try make it work over the holidays.” Casey stated, looking y/n in the eyes. “You’re the best thing that ever happened to me, I don’t want to lose this.” Y/n cried, moving to place a hand on Casey’s cheek. “I don’t either, but we can’t hold onto this.” Casey spoke, his heart breaking as he held y/n. “I love you.” Y/n tried, a tear falling down her cheek. “I know, I do too.” Casey sighed, bringing y/n into a hug.
Neither party wanted this to end. But deep down they knew, it wasn’t going to work.
