okayyyyy so

connor and violet: connor's spending the majority of his time down in champagne with vi, he's helping her study and the two are going shopping all the time. he hangs out with some of the hockey team and even practices with them a few times

bella and jamie: the two are so thankful to have this break, things have been kind of chaotic with both of their jobs so they're glad to just lounge around the apartment together and watch movies. no seriously, the two are catching up on hundreds of movies and a few shows they haven't been able to watch

will, gabe, and molly: the three of them just made up on friday, so will is with them, usually going between walking molly to class and hanging out with gabe, but whenever gabe and molly aren't busy at the same time, they're playing mario kart, sending instagram reels to each other, and just enjoying each other's presence

chloe and trevor: chloe is just finishing up tour (i really need to fix the tour dates on the tour post) and trevor flies out to see her in the last few shows she has. after, they're taking the time to just relax because they haven't really seen each other or be away from the media and things, so they just want a low-key two weeks

luke and sabrina: luke is in his official wag era! with the break and sab still having games, he's going to each and every one of her games supporting her endlessly. they have yet to announce they're dating but i could see jack finding out some time during these next two weeks (yes i am once again changing how jack finds out) but they're just super happy to spend time with each other and sometimes they let their affection get too public

isla, connor, alex, lukas, and kevin: lukas, alex, conor, and isla are all going out to rockford to see kevin because it's been so long since the five of them have hung out. this is the time where isla is giving them the paintings since it's valentine's day and the four of them are overcome with happiness and awe at them, lots of kisses and cuddles for sure

quinn and valeria (and noah): as much as val hates that quinn doesn't get to play, she's honestly somewhat relieved that he's going to be home and can help with noah. they spend a shit ton of money on legos and just building new ones. they will fly out to go see luke or luke will fly out to go see them, along with val's family and ellen and jim. i could def see quinn, val, noah, ellen, jim, luke, val's dad, and val's brother all going to see a team usa game for jack

nico and rory (and ellie): so with nico being injured, he's already kind of just been around more which ellie is absolutely thrilled about, she loves hanging out with him and going on shopping adventures (that they do rope rory into constantly). rory is around more too, she's been helping out around their apartment, even so much as showing up to take ellie to class bc she knows nico needs to sleep. plus, nico and ellie show up when rory is working at the cafe whenever they can and they make a big deal about it every time

so uh idk if you know about this AU but it was kinda popular in the arcane fandom at some point (or at least I think it was akahaj)

it's called the lumen au and it's a type of soulmate au.

a lumen is a ball of light usually around the size of a tennis ball, but it can vary I think lol, that is a physical manifestation of their soul mates soul. the colour, texture and any other features of the lumen varies depending on the soulmate.

the lumen has a personality similar to the soulmate, so a ditzy soulmate might have a lumen that wanders around a bit lol. but at the end of the day lumens always follow their respective soulmate, although they're not tethered and can be stolen but thats a whole other story.

the soulmate can also feel anything that happens to their lumen. so tickling, kissing, biting, poking, squeezing etc. the lumen results in the soulmate feeling it no matter where they are. the feeling all depends on the intention of the person touching the lumen, so if they are poking it with the intention of comfort that's what the soulmate will feel and vice versa.

when soulmate meet, their lumens get drawn to each other and kinda.. circle each other and let out a bright light before going back to their respective owners. by that I mean the lumen goes back to whoever they were already with prior, the souls don't just trade owners if that makes sense. lumen a stays with person b and vice versa. I think it is possible to trade lumens so you can have your own lumen in your possession, and maybe even trade it with someone else and decide your own fate :D

I LOVE SOULMATE AUS, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO STUFF LIKE THIS FIFHDJDHDKDH!!!

Let's see... I'll do my real self and some of my S/Is and their respective F/Os!!

I feel like my lumen would be slightly dim around the edges but bright in the middle, with a blue and purple hue. Its texture would be like a stuffed animal, soft and fuzzy. It'd be shy and reserved, but clingy and curious, so it'd mostly reside in my soulmate's pocket or bag! It'd also expand or shrink depending on its mood, the more cheerful or pleased it is, the larger and brighter it'll get and vice versa!

Charlie's lumen is mostly green, with a deep blue center! Its texture resembles a very soft and warm cloth. It behaves extremely shyly most of the time, but when it believes its soulmate isn't looking it'll flicker and bounce excitedly! If it doesn't know where its soulmate is, it'll look around for them frantically, scared to be by itself

Emerie's lumen would be bright teal with a pink center, always bright and never entirely steady. It'd feel smooth and cool to the touch like a pearl! It mirrors its soulmate very well, so if it senses joy it'll bounce around the room in excitement; if it senses sadness it'll dim itself out and stay close to its soulmate, to comfort them in anyway it can

Viktor's lumen is a varying gradient from light blue to bright white, with iridescence "shards" that flicker and change colors around its core. The texture is surprisingly soft and cool to the touch, like letting a cloud slip by your fingers!It's very demure in nature, mostly floating still over its soulmate's shoulder, watching over them intently and curiously. It feels warmer to the touch when caressed with love or desire!

Jinx's lumen flashes between pink, purple and blue constantly. It looks sharp but feels warm and smooth to the touch, almost like holding someone's hand! It behaves sporadically and does as it pleases most of the time. If it feels like its soulmate isn't giving it enough attention, it will shove itself in its soulmate's face and interrupt whatever they're doing

Ocean Princess' lumen is constantly changing between multiple hues of blue! Its texture is like dipping one's hand into cool water! It should be kept on a leash, if at all possible! It is constantly all over the place, darting around in excitement and curiosity over every little thing. It is also incredibly affectionate and often floats up and around its soulmate's face and hands for pets and "kisses"

Simon's lumen has a cozy orange hue, with a very small blue core. It feels warm and nostalgic, like slipping under a comfy blanket during a rainy afternoon! It behaves shyly but if it notices its soulmate feeling upset it'll try to do something silly to make them smile and cheer up!

Eris' lumen is a deep shade of green with a purple center. It feels almost electric, leaving a tingling sensation after coming in contact with someone. It behaves like a floating lamp, unless handled with love and affection repeatedly, then it will always be around its soulmate! It will try to be helpful by dragging or pushing things closer to its soulmate and "blinking" over something they may be looking for or forgetting

Sir Pentious' lumen is golden and extravagant, it feels bumpy and cold like bolted metal. It tries to keep its composure and behave nonchalantly but it releases a proud hiss and smoke once excited or happy! It follows its soulmate around and usually slips under their sleeves or hair, like it's using them as a hat!

KATYA WASN'T AN EARLY RISER, but on the rare day she did rise at the same time as Tempest, she liked to watch her paint her face in those intricate lines she did every morning. But this morning - she wanted to do it for her. "Hold still - " she muttered as she painted the lines, sticking her tongue out as she concentrated with the swirly bits of her design. She wasn't an artist, but she was rather happy with the outcome - she had made sure it was swirly enough that it probably felt like normal designs. But it was actually a funny swirly cat face on Tempest's face. Because Katya was a terrible girlfriend.

How delightful! Tempest sits oh-so-still and quiet while Katya paints her face, trying her best not to let her giddy grinning get in the way of her girlfriend's work. Painting her face was a wonderful and crucial part of Tempest's daily routine- to share it with another is one of her greatest joys.

If she notices the mischievous glint in Katya's eye, she pays it no mind and excitedly scrambles for her hand mirror the moment Katya is done.

She gasps, turning her face this way and that to get a better look. If she was a more critical person, she'd have some things to say about the linework and weight of the strokes compared to her own hand and a lifetime of practice. But Tempest, of course, is nothing but overjoyed.

"Oh my goodness, I look like a colorful little kitten!" she exclaims excitedly. Whirling back towards her girlfriend, the monk practically lunges at her.

"C'mere, cutie, I'm giving you matching whiskers~"

POCKETS . . . . Shauna is very minimalist in what she carries in her pockets. It is often her wallet and phone with a chapstick (maybe). The chapstick is typically whatever brand flavor Callie didn't like out of the four-pack of multi-flavored options.

PURSE . . . . Shauna's purse holds her wallet (when not in her pocket), a tiny first aid kit, pepper spray, a small bottle of water, her car keys, and a small notebook that she writes in at random.

GLOVE BOX . . . . There used to be a gun in her name in there but Jeff made her take it out after he saw it. The car's manual, some tissues, and a phone charger.

TRUNK OF THE CAR . . . . Two blankets, a spare tire, a basket of cleaning supplies, and often times whatever has been forgotten from the store.

CLOSET . . . .  For a long time, Shauna kept her diaries from the wilderness in her closet in a safe, but they have been removed since the whole Adam incident. There is a box on the top shelf filled with Jackie's things: friendship bracelets, old pictures, and some of the little trinkets the Taylor family gave her to remember Jackie.

BEDSIDE TABLE . . . . her vibrator, a journal with a fresh black ink pen, a pair of tweezers, and a romance novel. Shauna has thought about a butcher's knife but has never actually put it in there, as she tried to go as far away from the idea of being the butcher as she could. The remote should be in there when not in use, but often it can be found on the bed.

POCKETS . . . . the medicine cabinet is filled with the typical things like a first aid kit and medication. Everything is up to date and never expired. It's not clean in a military order, but you can easily find things.

he's ... he's uneasy. should he be mad? upset? or just look the other way? he had been busy with the letter he had received when the TV in the main living room suddenly turned on. curiosity getting the best of him and what he first saw ... almost made him cry. Satan ... Ozzie, Mam .. Bee .. even Bel and Leviathan ... his found family. his companions from up above. the people that stood by him after hitting literal rock bottom ... he missed them terribly so.

but what quickly changed the mood was the situation. an imp found guilty of using a grimoire to reach the mortal realm. well that surely shouldn't happen. accusation after accusation, an attempt to rebel. coercing Stolas into a relationship to use him and in the end, to kill him. something that he is too familiar with. it made Lucifer's hands twitch and tail swish back and forth in usually well hidden anger. Satan boasting, evermore prideful than he was supposed to be. but even through the glass screen, he can tell the imp wasn't the culprit despite confessing to it all. showing that he had a beating heart as he tries and saves his friends .. yet no one cared ( hits a little close to home doesn't it? ). Stolas then appears, confessing instead. the one behind it all. for who knows what ..? it put a bad taste in his mouth. it didn't feel right and part of him feels guilty for not being able to attend. .. maybe then something could have changed. HE COULD HAVE DONE SOMETHING. but the deed was done. the punishment was served without second thought. the Goetian prince stripped of his abilities and legions taken for 100 years .. it was pathetic. it was STUPID. these were HIS people. why .. why was he just ... STANDING here?

with a loud flap of his wings, he opens a portal. for the first time in years, he would finally step out of Pride. there was a meeting to attend to.

Seele, at this point, had a wide array of answers.

The bard, who gave a personal story, seemingly out of obligation and from her own understanding, an assumption that she herself was suffering.

The tall woman surrounded by an air of mystery, who suggested an inability to feel that sense anymore

And the transparent man who...gave the most literal answer possible.

She felt as though she was not going to be able to parse any more answers past that, despite such a strong start in her questioning. Maybe she should give up on this?

Despite that, she still found herself approaching one last person. A woman, of whom carried an air of maturity and elegance to her, something she wasn't all that familiar with. That air was threatening, but the question was on her mind all the same.

One last person, then I'll stop asking. Maybe this lady will have an answer like the bard's? She seems like she may have experienced a lot, right?

So, in a so-called 'one last hurrah', Seele approached the mature lady -- Eden, though this name was not one she knew in the moment -- and asked, as she had asked the others:

"Excuse me, ma'am? Sorry if this is random, but I wanted to know...what does the burning of incense mean to you...?"

As Seele asks this, a look of realization hits her. I gave the transparent man one too, so I think I will give this lady an envelope as well...

She quickly takes out a red envelope -- a proper butterfly etched unto it, and a little bit of mora inside of it as well, as per tradition.

"And...happy Lantern Rite as well!"

"It's a time for remembrance, of course."

Eden's eyes flitted down calmly to the girl, welcoming her warmly. She herself was not one to often go out of her way to remember the departed, the long-lost, in ways other than via a tall glass, but it was a special occasion. The lantern rite's melancholy air, as the night grew late, touched her years-weathered heart. So, her eyes illuminated by the flames, and her senses swimming with the scents, she had decided on a moment of vigil.

Her eyes returned to the light.

"Not just for those I have lost." Memories danced in the sheer light of the center of the flame. "But, also for what has been lost to us all. People come and people go, and so too do its cultures and landscapes."

She took up her glass, ever present at her side, and added to the encompassing incense with a small sip. The red envelope is accepted gracefully, despite her lack of need for money. It was a memento, and a meaning, above all else.

"Happy Lantern Rite," Eden hummed to herself. Then, to Seele, "Yes, Happy Lantern Rite to you. Let's enjoy the silence together, now."

so it’s a year after they’ve broken up and trevor’s already realized how much he’s screwed up by saying shit to her.

shes talking with some guys at a bar and trevor is completely losing his shit. he’s gripping his beer bottle tightly, death starring the three of the guys that are flirting with her, constantly running a hand through his hair.

quinn’s laughing internally because he’s the only one who knows that they were together.

and when they are together… if they’re around jack or anyone else it’s usually just trevor bumping into the guy or ‘accidentally’ cutting in between them.

if they’re just out in public by themselves or once everyone knows, he’s full on wrapping his arms around her waist behind her, resting his chin on her shoulder and just shooting the guy a smirk.

then if he doesn’t take the hint he’s turning his head and placing kisses on her neck and murmuring what he’s planning on doing to her once they get back to his apartment or wherever they’re at.
