Weird fun fact that always works, but no one is 100% sure why. If you add all the digits in a number and the resulting sum is evenly divisible by 3, so is the original number.

So, 51? 5+1=6. 6 is evenly divisible by 3, so 51 is too!

53? 5+3=8. 8 is not divisible by 3, and neither is 53.

This does mean that you can get long chains of numbers all divisible by 3 if you start big.

9+8+4+8+7+9+8+4=57

5+7=12

1+2=3

Yup! All can be divided by 3.
