"WELL THE DOCTOR ONCE ACCIDENTALLY TURNED ME INTO A DOG SO AT LEAST THE TRANSFORMATION PART WON'T BE TOO BAD I THINK. I JUST . . . DON'T KNOW HOW WE'RE GOING TO GET BACK . . ."

Kolaswv nudged the correct buttons on the phone with his nose, starting the video call. Upon first seeing the dragons, confusion crossed the wizard's face.

Const gave an embarrassed smile. "AH, HI, SAMUEL . . ."

His eyes widened at the sound of the dragon's voice. "Wing? What happened?"

"UH . . . DRAGONS? YEAH. SOMEHOW. NOT SURE HOW."

Const gave an uncertain chuckle, nudging Dings with his snout to help him rebalance. “NO KIDDING.”

He let out a small breath, taking stock of their situation. He considered flying out over the forest to see if there was any civilization nearby, then remembered that he didn’t know the first thing about flying and he would probably hurt himself before he could find help.

Perhaps, though …

He attempted to take out his phone and breathed a sigh of relief. “INVENTORIES STILL WORK AT LEAST. KOLASWV?”

The axial, previously still dumbstruck by the sudden transformation of those around him, snapped to attention at the sound of his person calling him.

The dragon nudged the phone towards him. “CAN YOU CALL SAMUEL? I THINK MY FEET ARE TOO BIG TO PRESS ANY SPECIFIC BUTTON RIGHT NOW.” He paused. “ON SECOND THOUGHT, VIDEO CALL HIM.” Thank the stars Alphys figured out how to make touchscreens that registered both physical and magical contact.

The nudge is very helpful! More helpful than the limb flailing at least. Man having six limbs when you’re used to none is hard. He flops on his butt and curls his tail around himself sort of to create a stabilizing base. Seeing Const pull out his phone makes him perk up though, twisting his head to get a better look. [Oh good! I might have things in my inventory we can use too then!]  Like lemons or something.

Dings leans over to watch the video call, using the extra set of legs to help balance himself more. [I wonder how we’re going to explain this.]
