So work has been quiet enough for me to watch the sequel in parts on Y.outube.

And like... damn. I forgot how intense Z.ira is as an individual, let alone as a villain. Everyone around her, even those who were cubs, were just pawns in her goals to play exactly as she wanted to (as opposed to letting them find their own strengths).

In that way, I could see why Scar would choose one of her cubs (if none of them were his). Similarly, I could also see him meeting baby!K.ovu and being like "ah yes. He looks like a strong cub" and Z.ira latching onto that.

I really wish we had some comparable basis for her dynamic with Scar. It'd be fascinating to see what it actually was. She idolised him, and no one else in the pride held him to the same level as she did?
