I lied put your clothes back on. Let’s talk about how absolutely heartbreaking it was for Xander in chapter 59 of tfg. Out of all of the Hawthorne brothers he was the one who had the closest relationship to their grandfather. So to then find out that his biological father had always wanted him and that his grandfather was the one reason that they never were able to get to know each other would be absolutely earth shattering.

Like Tobias trusted him enough to tell him to find Toby in The Hawthorne Legacy because they spent the most time together. Like he seriously asked his favorite grandson to help him find his long lost son who isn’t even his actual son, all while never letting Xander know that his own father cared about him and wanted him from the beginning. So I can’t even begin to imagine the hurt and betrayal he must have felt towards his grandfather after he realized that his grandfather did everything in his power to keep his father from him and vice versa. (As the days go by I hate Tobias more and more)

Deserved Better Prelims: Jiang Cheng (The Untamed)

"I know, I know, ok but listen. The guy kinda suffers his whole life and ends up with nothing, really. He grew up with a strict abusive mother and was never good enough for anyone. He was always in the shadow of his adopted brother, but he still loved that brother through and through, never letting that get in the way of their relationship. His loses nearly his whole family and clan, and then he loses all of his powers, all seemingly because of his brother, but he still stands at his brother's side when his brother comes back. He rebuilds his clan from scraps all while a being teenager himself, tries his absolute hardest to protect said brother against the world who would see him dead, while also trying to keep his newly rebuilt clan safe, but again he's not enough, never enough. He loses his brother, his kind-of-love, then he loses sister too. He is left as a single parent to his sister's newborn, no friends, no family, no lover. Then his brother comes back from the dead and it's like he might have some family back, but his brother won't even acknowledge him. THEN he finds out his brother did pretty major shady surgery on him without his consent or awareness and HE'S the bad guy, and he again finds out that oh, he was not good enough, it was again his brother who sacrificed himself for him. Even at the very end, when his brother is left alive and the world back to peace, his brother still walks away from him, and he is ultimately left with nothing, nothing, no friends, no family, no love. (Jin ling doesn't count for the sake of this, he's a Jin and will end up staying there anyways)"
