apologies to the artist for usurping their gorgeous post but... the level of harry and neville's prophesied intertwinedness? both of them being schrodinger's chosen one before voldy marked harry as his ~equal but then both of their arcs culminating in killing a giant snake? both essentially orphaned, grew up with relatives constantly putting them down; both of them choosing to be brave time and time again despite feeling overwhelmed or inadequate. the sword of gryffindor appearing in the sorting hat exclusively for the two of them to wield on separate but equally dire occasions. at some point when the dust has settled and they're able to sit down and unpack their many commonalities, they have their own lil gryffindor sword fight. for sure. for sure.

THOUGH if you're interested in knowing a little bit of my very quick thought process, rick was originally only a pegasus, but he artificially turned himself into an alicorn by making himself a prosthetic, surprisingly functional horn. a lot of people hate him now for it, or consider it blasphemous or horrible.

So I went to find the flag of Alexandria and the glyph for Fandaniel:

Ohhhhh so now that you mention it, it’s definitely not exact, but there are similarities there that I can see. Not sure if this is merely a coincidence or not. I also haven’t checked out the other Convocation symbols to see if any others look similar either.

Now Hermes and Calyx themselves:

Now the hairstyles are not exact, but ohhhh boy are they really similar! I see a lot of similarities in their faces, particularly these are both of their “straight face” expressions. I didn’t think they’d look so much alike, but when you put them both next to each other, I see it way more than I had before.

Now of course, we could be completely wrong about this, or they might not even address Calyx’s Unsundered self at all, he might not even be related to the ancients or ascians whatsoever.

However, I definitely think this is a completely valid theory, and we will just have to see what happens in 7.3 in a few days!! Thank you so much for the addition @fan-daniel!! You gave me a lot to think about!

this guy frightens and intrigues me:

his name in the files is literally Normal Npc. like ok.

he gets more and more incoherent with each chapter its scary!! like we're watching him lose his fucking mind & we cant do anything about it. it seems like all the other npcs have some sort of interaction or connection with other characters but hes just. there. alone. makes me sad actually.

the 'wait, don't' makes me feel like hes stuck reliving a terrible moment or something. he reminds me of the paledriver from disco elysium, the way he just seems fully detached from our reality.

hes so scary to me. i fear in an upcoming chapter we'll enter the library and he'll just be gone. and no one will say anything about it
