I got back into it (after like, 10 years lol) last weekend and a week spent at the hospital (everything’s fine) meant I had a lot of time to burn on it. I bought all the piggy bank packs (awesome value lol) and i’m at lv19 with ZERO friends. I even have the dragonsai tree with no one to give the extra gems to!

Hey. Its been bothering me a bit but id like to point out that Queetzalcoatl of aztec mythology is a mesoamerican deity which I'm very glad people have learned.

However I've seen people incorrectly state that mesoamerica is in south america. It is not. Mexico is not in South America. It's in North America. Pre Columbian Mesoamerica spans from lower Mexico to Central America. Central america is NOT in South America. It's above it, hence the _central_ part. The _meso_ in meso america ALSO means middle.

I realized that this was not common knowledge so I'm only making the post not to shame but to inform. Latin america is beautiful and rich with history and I'd love for everyone to get to know this beautiful land full of different cultures and encourage you to do so!! Quetzalcoatl is but ONE of the aztec pantheon deities and the aztecs (nahuatl) are but ONE of the many indigenous groups of latam.

Was debating on posting at all since, you know the idea of making a non fr post irks me but it honesty bothered me quiet a bit.

Anyways, dropping Santae was a relief. I haven't logged back in in months and I don't regret it or feel any urge to.

Santae is built on fomo and timers, and it's just not a fun player experience. The real money shop rotates too often and had 'limited' amounts of some items (artificially digital scarcity my absolute hated!).

Everytime send my pets gathering, I need a consumable pouch per pet. So that means going to the pouch store and buying them one at a time if the decent ones are in stock. If not, that means waiting around and refreshing for a minute or two. Boring! Lame! Unfun!

The main way make on site currency? Npc quests which ask for other npc shop items. So more waiting around in shops, gross! Sometimes for five minutes just for the chance the it's stocks. It might not, and then you wait another five minutes! I hate Santae's npc shops! I just wasted time waiting around in them. Nothing ever stocks in high numbers, so you gotta catch stuff on the refresh.

The gathering, fishing, little mini games, berry tree, herding, and more is all on timers. And there's no in game alerts or notifications for any of those. You just have to remember or check back in directly on that activities' page! The amount to times I had to click through all the gathering locations 1 by 1 because I didn't remember which one I sent a pet to was too many!

Santae's core is profit over fun. It's not built with players fundamentally enjoying themselves, it's built on frustration.

Not to mention whatever was going on with the AI art for npcs.

Anyways, PCE's next opening is December 29th, so make a reminder for that. It's a pet sim not built on profit, but instead passion and love <3
