you two are very similar. In fact, no one has ever seen Kizaru angry, or actually feel any negative emotion, he always wears the same smirk. And even though he sometimes seems sadistic in dealing with the pirates he doesn't show anger like Sakazuki.

joking aside, I feel like colliding with Kizaru or Kizaru colliding with you are very rare events. It's more likely that Kizaru gets mad at you for something, although as soon as he sees your little face looking at him with that calm look he forgets all his anger.

but these events are rare, you never get angry and Kizaru is too lazy to start an argument with you, among other things with a person who has never raised his voice with anyone.

and even when he gets angry with you, the yellow monkey can at most show a face of frustration, but he will never raise his voice at you (in reality he has never done this with anyone), if the topic involves him excessively he may change tone of voice (he doesn't raise it but simply stops dragging the words)

Sakazuki

I think you are one of the few, if not the only person to calm his anger. But in the beginning it wasn't always like this… the first time he got pissed at you and saw you looking at him with that innocent look while asking him to please stop because he was attracting attention, he thought you were teasing him.

then he started to understand that you couldn't get angry, he doesn't know how you do it, especially when the world is full of idiots and incompetents.

at first he looked at you as if you were an alien, sometimes he tried to force you to get angry, for example by shouting at you for silly things at work, but nothing seemed to trigger your anger so he gave up feeling defeated. You are one of the few people who managed to surprise him.

when you see him get angry you always try to calm him down (also because you are worried about his physical well-being). Sometimes you succeed, other times you just end up making the situation worse. But you never get angry with him, so much so that the marines think you are some kind of divine gift.

Kuzan

as Jinbei said, Aokiji is a man who rarely shows his passion. Generally he never gets angry either, he is much more laid back (similar to Borsalino). So arguments with him are very rare, also because he really doesn't have the energy to argue, especially with you.

he was surprised when after a guy spilled a drink on you only for you to refuse him and you just looked at him and told him he shouldn't have done that…I mean, he got mad about you and you, on the other hand, didn't Did you show the slightest sign of anger?

so, just like Sakazuki, he tried to whet your anger, through for example jokes like throwing you in the pool or ruin your food, but nothing. All you did was ask him to never do that again because you didn't like these pranks.

the rare times he gets angry with you and raises his voice (we know that in fact he can be loud sometimes), he immediately feels guilty when he looks into your eyes. You are too cute to be mad. Then she immediately apologizes and tries to make up for what he has done through gifts or bringing you coffee.

ok idk if anyone's asked this before. but. i've been following your fics for the past while (lovelovelove btw) and realized for the first time yesterday when i perused your masterlist just how many you've published. holy shit dude!! mega kudos. i've been polishing up a couple different wips since new years this year but haven't published any so far, so ig i wanted to ask for advice on getting out there as a fic writer? i've never published before lol. what's ur methods and advice, chef

ahhh thank you :) i am so excited for you!! imho you're standing on the threshold of a beautiful adventure, like you've packed your bags (got some wips) and are ready to head out the door. it's intimidating but in my experience the first comment you get will make all the stress worth it; it will wash away your reservations and give you a hit of affirmation that will only drag you further on into sharing more. it's a virtuous circle that you just have to start.

as trite as it sounds, my biggest piece of advice is to fake it until you make it, like pretend you've published a hundred times before and are perfectly confident and entitled to put your work up in public. that's what i did the first time, i pretended to be someone normal lol. i knew what i expected to see from others and made my story summary and tags look like that to avoid negative ripples (no such ripples really exist in reality, but i know how anxiety whispers lies).

it worked because there's no front door or barrier to entry to posting on ao3, you know? you are exactly as welcome and valid as i am there; we both see the same site back end and the same draft page. you are the same as anybody who has already published. if you have wips and have something that could reasonably be considered finished? pick one, something small even, and just post it. you can edit it once it's live if something dire comes up, i do it all the time.

this is actually something that is causing me a lot of writer's block right now, the fact that i am being far too perfectionist and precious about the next chapter of my main wip. i simply care way too much about the story, so i'm so scared of doing it wrong, so i've been sitting on it. but the way that i've published more 50 stories in the past is trusting my gut about when something is done and pushing it out to the public before i hold myself back.

you have to just keep moving forward, that's the key. tell yourself the next story will be better and remember the last story is better than you think it is. make your chapters as long or as short as you feel is right, post as often or as sparingly as you need. share on other social media once you're done if you want, people want to know there is more of the thing they love in the world, you know? you're offering a gift, and that's kind.

i know that all the advice in the world is basically useless unless you see it at the right moment you need it, and none of my advice is anything that you haven't heard before, but if you need a sign that it's time to pull the trigger, that you are allowed to post things, that people want to see your work, that you're welcome and important to the community by sharing your voice—please take this post as that sign. be confident, because you deserve that confidence, and hit post <3

Sebastian hums to himself as he walks through his master’s house.

He halts and looks in the direction of Yuina’s room when he hears soft sobbing from the inside.

A worried expression crosses his face as he goes to knock on the door. “Yuina? Everything okay?”

He hears her let out a soft gasp at the sound of his voice then he hears her get up and come to the door and it opens, revealing a smiling Yuina with dried cheeks, as if she hadn’t just been crying. “Hey, what happened?” He asks softly, worry clear in his eyes.

His worry only grew when Yuina feigned confusion. “Hm? Wha-what do you mean, Sebastian?” She questions with an innocent smile.

“…Why do you hold it back so much? It’s unnecessary..” He asks with a curious, but also worried expression.

“H-hold what back..?” Judging by her slightly trembling voice, Sebastian was starting to get to Yuina.

“Your emotions. You’re allowed to feel negative emotions, y’know. It’s not annoying to any of us, it’s completely normal..” He smiles softly and reassuringly then his eyes widen slightly when Yuina’s eyes fill with tears.

He gently and hesitantly hugs her then looks down at her when she starts talking.

“I-I just hate w-worrying people… E-especially K-K-Kiki…” She whispers tearfully and Sebastian has to bite his bottom lip to keep from making a comment about Yuina’s older brother.

He sighs softly as he rubs her back. “I understand, but the only reason why we all worry about you so much, is because we all care about and love you..” He immediately blushes when he realizes he just indirectly confessed, hoping she didn’t notice.

He smiles when Yuina starts to calm down, feeling better when he sees that she didn’t notice the indirect confession.

“Thank you, Sebastian…” He smiles and pats her head after pulling away.

“You’re welcome, Yuina! Remember, I’m always here for you! And so are Irina and Kishin!”

Yuina nods with a smile and gives him a quick hug before happily going back into her room.

Ok uhhhhh the reblogs in this post essentially contain most of our opinions but tbf it quickly devolved into “you know when you think about the Recreyo lore it makes no goddamn sense”

But to make a long story as short as possible: while we 100% understand the limitations the crew had (since y’know, suddenly we need to write an ending and yall) we’re mostly just disappointed in that it didn’t use most of its existing lore and instead introduced some last minute, barebones villain with some lore that somehow feels incredibly complex and incredibly confusing and meaningless.

The long story:

In my specific case: it didn’t feel like an ending.

A finale’s job is to be an end. Loose threads get tied up. The plot comes to a conclusion. The characters say goodbye.

And all of this could have happened if they simply gave an in-universe explanation as to why Recreyo can’t continue. I feel like they tried explaining that in part 2 with the entire “giving Ao’s energy back to the tears”, but it’s still way too vague and it doesn’t return in part 3, the actual ending ending (how does fixing the tears prevent them from opening a new portal, if Ai and Ao are the problem why are they a problem now ect) and there could have been a much more simple explanation: Maybe to defeat Ai, the plushies aren’t enough and they need to use the power of their portal creation to do it. Maybe Ao betrays them after defeating Ai and the only way to avoid the choice of which twin to keep empowering, they have to permanently seal the multiverse. Maybe the multiverse can’t be saved, and never opening a portal again after returning home is the best way to keep it from collapsing.

But there is nothing. And thus there is no in-universe explanation as to why the adventure can’t continue. And well “the adventure continues” can work well for some stories, it doesn’t work here, aside from teasing new things on their own channels (which still wouldn’t explain why Recreyo disbands in-universe).

And then there is the plot of the finale itself. Evil twin of former baddy who has up to this point never been mentioned before causes problems for reasons never explained or explored, said baddy is incredibly flat, has like 8 very generic lines and only actually appears in the last episode, where they are quickly defeated. The entirety of part 2 is just crack fixing, and the new lore is incredibly confusing.

All in all, it feels like they wanted too much for the finale, but there wasn’t enough time to properly use it.

I will admit there are a lot of great parts about the finale! The banter and humor is very fun, it’s great to see Ao and her awesome voice actress again (shoutout to Kowaitea), I love part 1 and how it feels everyone is participating in it rather than being it mostly Curt, I love the attempted scenarios, I just love it like Recreyo videos.

It’s fine as a Recreyo video. It just sucks as a story imo lol.

Ayy, it’s Gio’s birthday today and Valentine’s Day so, I figured why not give him a special chapter!

Giovanni had long forgotten his birthday. He probably didn’t even know when it occurred, and even if he did, he would never see the point of celebrating it.

The whole ‘when is your birthday?’ question was brought up when his brothers were discussing their own birthday plans for the future. With Leo and Donnie arguing over their shared special day on what they should do.

Raph then innocently turned to Giovanni with a smile and popped the question.

“What do you want to do for your birthday?”

But upon realising his comment, Raph closed his mouth as his brothers all slowly glanced at Giovanni. They didn’t need to mind meld to even share the same thought.

They didn’t know his birthday.

Giovanni had tilted his head and shrugged his shoulders. “I’m not sure. I don’t…have a birthday.” He mumbles, his voice soft but held some kind of sadness to it.

It was quiet after that.

Giovanni had awkwardly excused himself and retreated into his bedroom. And thus, here he was in this moment, laying down on the mattress, staring up at the ceiling, fiddling with his fingers.

Had he said the wrong thing?

Maybe he should’ve just lied and rolled with it.

But he didn’t like lying to his family.

He narrowed his eyes, his mind going to the E.P.F.

Would they have known when his birthday was? Not that they would have celebrated it, after all, it was all work and no play back then.

“Gio, can we come in?” Mikey spoke from the other side, creaking open the door slightly. Giovanni blinks and sits up, looking over at his door. “Sure.” He responded, watching his little brothers, one by one, walk in.

“What’s up?”

Raph gave him a sheepish smile, “W-well, um…we figured that you may not actually know your birthday…and uh, well—“ He was fumbling with his sentence so Leo butts in with a confident grin.

“We figured we could celebrate your birthday starting today!”

Today?!

Giovanni coughs on his own saliva and shakes his head. “N-no, it’s fine. I don’t need to have a birthday.” He assured but Donnie scoffs and cuts him off. “Negative. It’s essential for you to have a birthday. It’s much easier to keep track of your age as well.” Donnie explains, as Mikey appeared in his line of vision.

“We wanna celebrate you! Please?” He begs, but before Giovanni could deny, the others join in on the begging, puppy dog eyes and everything.

It had Giovanni speechless. Sweating anxiously as he tried to fight the urge to ignore the begging….but how could he?

“Okay…we can—that’s fine with me.” He coughs, sighing in defeat. One of his greatest weaknesses…his brothers all begging together in front of Giovanni.

Was this what all older siblings had to deal with?

“Yay! Okay, I’m on cake duty! Leo, Donnie, you’re in charge of decorating. And Raph, invite our friends over!” Mikey demands, his brothers saluting before scurrying off.

“What’s going on?” Giovanni questions in confusion. “You can’t have a birthday without a birthday party!”

He runs off, leaving Giovanni stunned. He inhales before exhaling, shaking his head with a small smile as he leans back down onto his bed comfortably. There was no point in stopping his family, and he didn’t want to be the reason to sour the mood by telling them that they didn’t need to go to this much length for him.

Although…having a birthday could be fun. Makes him feel part of the family more.

He lightly chuckled, closing his eyes. Giovanni doubted his brothers even knew what today always is. Giovanni only knew that this was Valentine’s Day due to seeing the calendar on Donnie’s open laptop that he left in the kitchen earlier.

Giovanni blushed in embarrassment. Was it too weird to have a birthday on Valentine's Day?

Ahhh, thank you so much!! 💖I'm glad you enjoy FFTD!! That series also tends to be my favorite of everything I've written, too. There's just something about FFTD Matty...

I could certainly give you some tips/suggestions that I've learned along the way! I've been writing and reading fanfic since 2005 so I've been around for a bit 😅 Though if there is something more specific that I didn't address--like something more specific with writing or editing or something--you (or anyone else who's curious) can certainly always send me an ask and I will always answer when I have a few minutes! But I'm not going to claim I'm remotely an expert on all of this, either. This is just from my experience and talking with other fic writers.

As always, the answer is below the cut!

First, I think it's always important to keep in mind that the more you write, the better your skill will grow with writing. Which goes for everyone, no matter how long you've been writing for or whatever your age is. I always see an improvement in my writing when I read something from even just a few months ago. And I even cringe at things like the very first Matt fic I wrote or even some early FFTD installments. So don't be too hard on yourself!

I think it's also important to remember to not compare yourself to others. We all have different styles and voices and that's a wonderful thing in writing. If everyone wrote the same or had the same ideas, there'd be nothing interesting to read. Everything would sound the same which would be boring. Personally, I didn't find my writing style/voice and grow comfortable with it until almost a year and a half ago when I started writing for the Daredevil fandom, so it's completely okay if you are still searching for yours.

Don't let any negative comments you might ever receive writing fanfic drag you down. Everyone gets them, and some fandoms have different dynamics than others where it may happen more often than in another one (though come on y'all, can we please practice the don't like don't read rule??). I think anyone who writes fanfic long enough will receive at least some hate. I've certainly gotten plenty over the years, and yes, it sucks and it can hurt or piss you off, but you have to remember to brush it off. There are likely many others enjoying your story to make up for that one person who's being rude. Block buttons can be your friend if you need them.

If you're having trouble writing a character that already exists in the fandom, studying them in the source material is always a good route. The amount of times I've gone and re-watched Daredevil, Punisher, or Kin in order to feel like I capture any of the characters in there just right is absurd, but it really does help to see their mannerisms, speech patterns, and to begin to get a feel of how they'd react in different situations based on how they've reacted in the show.

Lastly, when you write chapters for your fics and it begins to feel daunting, know that you can always break things down into more manageable chunks. I used to struggle to write much at a time until I learned to focus on the story in this way as opposed to focusing on everything that I still needed to make happen. Just focus scene by scene or even line by line. How to get Character A to do this or get to that point, for example, and it should hopefully seem significantly less terrifying. If you try to think of everything that needs to happen in a chapter all at once, it might begin to feel overwhelming and you may have the urge to give up. Try breaking things down and focusing on one thing at a time.

I could absolutely go on but I don't want to ramble! honestly i don’t understand how ppl get mad because others don’t wanna read no traumatic, struggle love, lowkey violent, cheating, smut galore toxic shit. the amount of thug, plug/drugdealer, bum!, straight up scary, PRISONER (which is crazy yall romanticizing mfs getting outta/being in jail??) black reader fics (from all kinds of fandoms btw) is actually concerning.. like frfr let’s be honest with ourselves cause the things i’ve seen on here has truly been interesting. (thanks to the ppl who’ll put warning tags tho ig) and ofc ima eat up some of them fics cause they be good sometimes but also that’s all i be seeing. i truly wanna read sumn cute and sweet that don’t leave a bad taste in my mouth like i don’t wanna read the fic and then be pissed off after. obvi we all can just scroll and not read what we don’t want which (if you harassing ppl for what they write it’s never that deep… be fucking fr. write something in your notes to fulfill you or sumn until you find something. don’t use that as a reason to spread negativity) and ik a lot of ppl get at blk writers abt how yn talk which (???) idc cause i talk the same so we’re not talking abt that. also i gotta say sometimes the drug dealer fics be treating yn like a princess (which 🫶🏽) but that’s every now and then when it’s not toxic or drugs, extremely excessive smut and cheating isn’t involved. ofc ofc write what you want but pls bffr and don’t act like them characters don’t be putting yn through some bullshit. yeah tension and stuff is cute cause yk you don’t want it to be boringg but toxicity and attractive tension isn’t the same. there’s sooo many ways of going abt getting that tension. and so many other blk girls say the same and it’s just can we get something positive please. and that legit can just be maybe possibly no aggressive smut.. or a annoying situationship, or all the other lowkey scary shit i be seeing. it’s disheartening to wanna read something abt blk girls and your fav that’ll have your feet kicking up and stuff and then getting pissed off cause your fav character just manipyadipped and cheated on yn or sumn. i’ll keep writing self indulgent fluff in my notes app tho until then. Sorry I know it's not a big deal but it's just really annoying that everything is just so negative about this show. I really love it, and I think the kids are hilarious and perfectly casted, sure the characters could be a little bit more fleshed out but we're only on season two part one, we got a whole other part of the show to see who knows what's gonna happen.

Just over all the hate tbh. Especially the ones who went in expecting it to be bad, like of course you think it's bad you made up your mind before watching it.

Btw out of all the sequel shows I've seen (gmw, the two eps of sbtb reboot I've seen) I think this one is the best one and I love that Jay and Leia aren't just carbon copies of their parents and have their own qualities as well.

↦ Jennie || the tower rx, eight of swords rx: Jisoo thinks she could've never been able to handle as much as Jennie does (hate, rumours, crazy schedules, you name it…). It's as if when she thinks Jennie is about to hit the ground, she always finds a way to rise back up and keep going. However, there's also a sense that Jennie has become a little like a robot, emotionless, passionless, jaded… - and, regarding that, Jisoo thinks she kinda got trapped in a prison of her own making. That level of public recognition/interest sometimes just isn't worth it, you know? Jisoo wouldn't want it - that's what I'm trying to say.

↦ Rosé || five of wands, the devil rx: First of all, Rosé is truly a good-natured person; she doesn't play dirty, which Jisoo appreciates. She will fight for what she wants, tho! Competition really doesn't scare her because she has the will and the passion to outdo them. On the more negative side, Jisoo thinks Rosé is often the type to bite off more than she can chew, and then she just has to stretch herself too thin (for her own detriment) because she doesn't want to let anyone down.

↦ Lisa || six of wands rx, five of swords: This one surprised me, to be honest… She thinks Lisa has become the kind of artist/celebrity to whom nothing is ever enough. Perhaps it's an issue with her self-confident or fear of losing what she has earned so far, and it's not necessarily the case of fame getting to her head. I just see her constantly trying to outdo herself and others; scolding others when they make too many mistakes or aren't performing with as much energy as she is; getting easily upset when things don't work out as she had wanted; etc. Lisa is just too hard on herself and, likely due to stress, she becames a little critical and demanding towards other people as well.

Jennie

↦ Jisoo || the hierophant rx, four of swords: She thinks Jisoo is the type of person who will never, ever break her personal moral code or break away from who she is and where she came from. She's not a sell-out; doesn't care about fame, titles or celebrity lifestyles - she's just Jisoo, and no one can change that. She will challenge authority and other people's expectations without thinking twice, because she has decided to put her peace and happiness first. I don't think Jennie understands how she's able to do that, and I also don't think she wants to be that kind of person. Either way, she absolutely doesn't have a problem with it because Jisoo doesn't bother anyone, she just does her own thing + allows others the same kind of freedom.

↦ Rosé || three of pentacles, five of cups: On one hand, she sees Rosé as someone who's truly dedicated to her job, to music, to creative expression. She loves what she does, so it inspires others who work with her (such as Jennie). On the other hand, work often comes first, and everything else is put on the backburner for her, even friendships. Given that, I think their friendship has suffered quite a lot in the last few years/months, and Jennie misses how thing used to be. Besides that, she also feels sorry for Rosé because, no matter how hard she works, she's rarely able to put out what she wants and how she wants it. In a way, Jennie thinks Rosé would've done really well as a solo OR would do really well as a solo, even if it mean ot4 won't be any longer. (not saying R is leaving!! read again)

↦ Lisa || the emperor rx, six of swords rx: This totally ties in with Jisoo's thoughts… Lisa has become a little too rigid and demanding. It's not that she thinks she's above others - she just doesn't want others to make her look bad or to throw away all of her hard work, so she now tends to act a little bit controlling and critical. Also, for some reason, Jennie thinks Lisa is stuck in the past. Perhaps she hasn't accepted that things have changed, including their work styles or priorities, and even the group's style of performance and chemistry; and she's really not willing to move on and adapt.

Rosé

↦ Jisoo || the chariot, king of cups: Big sister energy! She sees Jisoo as extremely reliable, strong, with great self-control and determination. Specially when it comes to emotions, she is always cool, calm and collected; nothing knocks her out of balance. Rosé definitely admires her strength and discipline, but also her ability to empathize and care for those around her. Although she is willful and assertive, she's still extremely kind and gentle. For all of those reasons, Rosé sees Jisoo as someone she can trust 100%; someone who'll protect her and care for her, if need be; plus, someone who is an inspiration, too (particularly when it comes to her ability to juggle her stronger & softer sides).

↦ Jennie || the tower rx, five of swords: It's really interesting that we're getting the same kind of messages from different members! Rosé also thinks that 1) Jennie is capable of handling a lot more than she could've ever handled herself, and 2) Jennie has, in a way, brought many of these issues upon herself. Perhaps she was naive and acted impulsively, or, at the time, she just never saw what could possibility go wrong… Right now, though, it might be very hard to talk to her and to get her to see reason, likely because she doesn't want to admit her mistakes. Or, alternatively, Rosé just doesn't like the kind of lifestyle she's living or the kind of people Jennie has surrounded herself with - which, understandably so, must've changed her personality a bit + keep on influencing her.

↦ Lisa || seven of cups, queen of swords: Out of all, I think Rosé is the member who understands Lisa's point of view the best! She recognizes her immense potential, versatility and intelligence, and that she simply cannot afford to let all of her hard work go to waste. So, although she also acknowledges that cold, rigid side that the others are focusing on, Rosé understands her a little bit more and can see past that. Lisa has big dreams and so does she, so they can, for sure, bond over that and support each other when things get more stressful or difficult. Besides that, there's definitely a feeling here that these two are likely the most interested in the performance side of the job (at least right now), and they really rely on each other when it comes to advice and motivation.

She can play for any team, as long as she is allowed to be her real self. Because of that, too, she's kind of the mediator of the group; the one who's able to adjust her work style and personality to everyone else's; the member who's always helping them understand each other's points of view. On the other hand, though, Lisa also recognizes that Jisoo is the least interested in the celebrity lifestyle, which she thinks it's a shame because J has so much potential. If only she were to put in a little more effort and were to be more disciplined, she would reach even higher! (Again, there is Lisa with the discipline thing lol… she's like a mom wanting the best for her kids)

J is able to make everything happen for herself; everything she touches turns to gold. Out of all, she's the one Lisa sees the most of herself in, even though Jennie's potential is not yet fully realized - meaning that she has it all, yet doesn't have the time or discipline to completely dedicate herself to everything and make the best out of it, which is unfortunate. On top of that, Lisa also sees Jennie as a caring, peaceful and trustworthy person; someone who's always available to help (personally and professionally). Overall, it's a really positive and inspiring energy!

↦ Rosé || ten of pentacles, page of cups: Lisa sees Rosé as a sister, almost. Like with all sibling relationships, they have their ups and downs, but, in the end, they'll always have each other's backs. These two might share many of the same values and beliefs; the family environment of both could be similar OR they just get along really well with each other's families. I also see Lisa caring the most about Rosé's opinions, for the better and for the worse… she's just very sensitive to them, I believe. For that reason, it's easy for them to misunderstand, overreact and argue here and there - but it's because they care about each other! If I were to guess, I'd say Lisa sees this friendship as the one that has the most potential to last far into the future, to be honest. It's great!

hi, my love!! i didn't take it the wrong way <3 i can explain what i mean.. so, this time it's not as much about interaction bc everyone's been very sweet and talks to me despite holiday season! i still have more msgs than i can answer (keep it all coming tho pls hehe :P), so the issue this time is more just.. how empty tumblr is. i scroll through my dash once and am already at a post that was posted/rbd an hour ago bc nobody's around (ccs and readers alike!!).

so many of my mutuals have left tumblr and so many readers have, too (i miss you all sm btw sigh) and watching tumblr die has been so disheartening. it's gotten very dry? and then, and that's a me problem, i also get so damn insecure all the time. i keep feeling like im unwanted here and get vv scared talking to people, bc there was so much negativity and hate on here for the past year that i constantly think twice before approaching someone. i just hate overthinking like, "does xy hate me? should i rather not interact" lol which sucks bc i like talking to people so much and used to be the most social butterfly.

so the loneliness just comes from the overall desert-like feeling on here combined with my own fears that tumblr's better off without me. it's stupid 😞

I love to write, I never share it because it’s very personal, they’re the words I chose, it’s my perception, experience, it’s my complete unfiltered and untouched thoughts, feelings and emotions. I’m choosing to share this today because this entry is the exact expression and raw fucking emotion, that truly is the person, the mentality, and the student I want to be. I wouldn’t have been able to write what feels like one of my most important pieces if it wasn’t for everything and everyone that has impacted me negatively or positively. Thank you.

I have two monumental friends that are the closet to me. These decisions were not made over night, this has been an ongoing, day in & day out, battle, this conclusion is the end that Him, Her and Me have put blood, sweat and tears into. I got clean for me, but if I didn’t see the people I loved the most go through the same thing, I know that I would’ve been unable to look inward. ——-

So, last night I ended the relationship with my dear dear friend. I’ve been avoiding this because I didn’t want to lose her. So when I came to terms and looked at the reality, the hard truth, that I had lost her to her addiction. That she was no longer the friend/person/sister I always wanted and needed. Looking at her, she’s just a shell of…. fuck. She’s just a shell. Taken away so far, that she no longer wants help. I lost my friend today, yet she still breaths. Please, wake up, I miss you, we miss you, please come home.

And then….

This morning i finally found him after weeks of searching, he’s homeless, sweaty, and walking as if his body is barley holding up. We hug tightly and I ask “where the fuck have you been!!”. With resilience in his eyes, he said “At the clinic, getting clean.” We shouted to the air screams of joy. Together we sat on the curb and laughed and we cried, we hugged and we cried some more. We had the long awaited talk made up of the unspoken words that filled the air every time we were together, we could speak on them because it was the exact moment that they needed to be said. I told him I will not stop until he is sober because everyday he shows how much he wants it, because he’s willing to ask for help, and because he still has a little bit of love for himself in his shell. Tomorrow we go to look at rehabs. Tomorrow his life is going to change. (This is a big fucking deal btw)

But now I have two conflicting, yet complimentary feelings;

Loss

I’m losing this admirable person/friend/sister that helped me in this life, who loved me for me, and ultimately was compassionate to everything and everyone with a struggle. Did no harm, but took no shit. A real, and rare human that you only meet once. When writing about this loss, it brings me to my knees and I want to stop talking. I choose to keep on writing because I want to remember this pain, it’s different than most of my sufferings. This one feels like I lost a limb, I lost a piece of my heart, mind and soul. This is why this pain is different, it’s because I am okay with it. It’s simple, I would have rather feel this every fucking day, over not having this friendship , SHE has a huge influence on my life, and without her I would not be the proud woman that I am now, it’s an honor knowing that she has pieces of me, she can have them. You truly have earned it, I’ll be here when you’re ready to come home. When you’re ready to accept the love you have always deserved.

Gain

I’m gaining my brother back, my support system, I’ll finally get to hear his contagious laughter that could shake an entire stadium, having everyone laughing so hard all they feel at that moment is pure, raw, fucking untouchable joy. The person that never let the actions/wrongdoings of others taint his character. I believe that you never did anything out of spite to hurt others but in the end I saw that you accepted hurting yourself. I see you and I understand. If only you could see yourself through the eyes of the ones who truly love you, I know that when I look at you I see the most open-minded, original, and complex kid I’ve ever fucking met. I noticed a pattern in my life and that was you, you always left and ventured on your own, and you always showed back up at the perfect time. From the moment we met, from our minds, to our humor, from rants, to roasts. We just were balanced, you showed me what it is to not compare and to always know that we are all equals. You my OG, my best fucking friend, from my first interaction with you in the 4th grade where we met, little ass kids. You made me feel seen and heard. I hope you know that you have always been a priority in my life and it’s now my turn to give you what you gave to me years ago; a person who undeniably and unconditionally believed in me. As long as you want me in your life, I promise I will be there every step of the way kid.

I never publicly share my writing, but I cant be silent about this one. My life right now is hands down my greatest success story so far. That success isn’t linear, it’s been lot of sacrifice, introspection, embarrassment, failure, grief and straight up, the loss of people, places and things that undeniably shaped me. I have learned so many things and it’s constant and I crave it. I’m learning from my mistakes, I’m holding myself accountable for my actions, I love being wrong, but most of all I’m learning to not give a fuck. I give no fucks anymore about what people think about me, about why that car cut me off, I will not be giving a fuck about why my best friend in the sixth grade didn’t like my new selfie. I will no longer give a single fuck about shit that does not matter! My relationships matter, my health, how I cope with my triggers, the words I use and how I say them, all of these values and morals. I need them and I will continue to pursue them, at the end of the day those fucks make me feel whole.

Firstly the gospels were written about 300 years after the death of Jesus.

Second Christianity as religion really becomes solidified with the conversion of Constantine. It is with is that what the religion is, what is about, etc is set. That is where the foundation are laid. It is also with Constantine that the symbol of the Christianity becomes the Cross.

For most the existence of Christianity it has gone out its way to show that is nothing like Judaism.

Judaism is barbaric and backward, with vengeful and wrathful god, the people make no sense, they use loopholes to get out of their own rules. This is had been the go to statement over the past several centuries and is still used btw.

Where as Christianity is upstanding, moral, has laws, god is compassionate, loving, and kind and where the people are civil. Again this was used in the past and is still rhetoric that is used still.

Though today they won't say the god of the Jews they will instead say the Old Testament has a vengeful god or the wrath of the Old Testament god, etc. It is coded language and dog-whistles.

Basically the whole thing with Christianity was to say we are nothing like those Jews, those filthy disgusting Jews, we are something better, new, and different.

And all through out those years you had vile rabid antisemitism coming from the Church.

And when the Church branches in Orthodoxy and Catholicism they both keep that going.

And then when you have the split between Catholicism and Protestantism they also both keep that going.

All which plays a major role in the Holocaust.

Well now the Roman Catholic Church has a big problem because they did a lot of crimes during and after the Holocaust.

Some which include helping Nazis escape from facing trial for being Nazis, not returning Jewish children to their families after the war was over that they promised to return when offering to hide said children, and you know other such fuckery.

So the Church didn't want anyone looking at them and the many crimes they did during the Holocaust and try and hold them accountable for it and they were also worried that if they were held to account for those crimes they might also be held accountable for the many many many other crimes they have committed against Jews over the years.

So the Church started to push out a new phrase, especially in academia, and that phrase was Judeo-Christian values.

And boy oh boy did that become popular and take off.

And because of the fear and trauma Jews have we for a very long time did not push back on this phrase out of fear of retaliation from Christians and Christianity.

It has only been in the past decade and bit that outside of Jewish setting you see Jews calling out this phrase and calling it for the bullshit it is.

So answer OP the reason it is this way is because Christianity was built on the foundation of being the anti-Jew/anti-Judaism.

You get a really good sense for this when you look at Medieval Christian documents because it is written explicitly so in so many of them, like very plain and clear to see.

So rather then finding validation in being their own thing their validation comes from being the antitheses of Judaism because Jews and Judaism are bad and evil.

And as was pointed out by others on here Christianity also is made up of various pagan beliefs and rituals and pantheons mashed together plus a whole bunch of stuff from some real fucked up Roman cults thrown in on top.

Also just a side using Pharisee as a insult is antisemitic and disgusting so please don't. Rabbinic Judaism, i.e Judaism as it is today, comes from the Pharisees so when you Pharisees negatively or as insult you are insulting and speaking negatively of all Jews alive today.

The more I learn about judaism the more I wonder where tf christianity got all its bad shit. Why is divorce a sin in christianity when judaism has recognized the right to divorce for nearly a millennia and has codified religious laws for it. Why does christianity consider sex to be dirty (to the point where puritans considered it a sin to enjoy having sex with your own spouse) when in judaism it's considered holy and it's a literal mitzvah to have sex with your spouse on the sabbath. Why does christianity consider it a sign that you're faithless if you question your religion when in judaism that's considered an essential part to developing your faith. I'm probably stating the obvious here but I still can't get over the fact that there's no historical basis to any of this shit before christianity started, it's like christians just said "hey guys what if we took the torah and built a new religion around it but this time it was actively hostile to human life"

But he's very quickly rushed off to Azkaban by Fudge before he can be questioned again. // He is freed in the mass breakout with Bellatrix and Co, recaptured with Lucius, Rodolphus etc after the DoM then back out of prison by the beginning of the final book. // He gets killed by Moody during the Battle of the 7 Potters, leading to Voldemort killing him in revenge.

Bellatrix and Voldemort are very close, much like Albus & Minerva. Platonic soulmates. Maybe give him a romantic partner too?

Ginny kills Nagini. COS symbolism and all that. Neville still gets a big moment of defying Voldemort in front of everybody.

Molly kills Greyback in the Battle of Hogwarts. Bellatrix, who is fighting Hermione & Tonks, is taken down by Andromeda (who gets THE line when Bellatrix almost kills Tonks as she did Ginny), and Grandma Longbottom who is also out for blood. There's a lot of revenge there (Andy's also avenging her beloved cousin), but I like it.

Slughorn dies in the Battle of Hogwarts, protecting either another teacher or some of his students. I feel that's a proper redemption for him we never got. Also I think keeping Tonks alive means another character of some significance needs to die.

The epilogue focuses on societal changes being met following Voldemort's defeat. New rights are written into law for non-human creatures. It's now illegal to keep a House Elf. Love Potions are banned. Strides are taken to improve Wizard-Muggle relations.

No "19 years later" scene (in the book, it was fine for ending the movie franchise IMO). Most people hate it and it added nothing. Anyway, a better version of the Cursed Child (maybe I'll do a post about that sometime) will fill us in on that in due course. ;-)

Take out all the casual misogyny. Nobody is horrible to Fleur, Harry gently breaks up with Cho (or vice versa) - suggesting the time just isn't right for them, Bellatrix isn't a simp, Andromeda gets an actual full backstory and page-time, Parvati & Lavender aren't portrayed negatively (perhaps they can even be friends with Hermione - imagine that!).

No unnecessary fat shaming. A YouTuber made a change I really like involving Dudley still being a glutton (which I can see as still being important to his character) *but* he's a rugby player so it ends up as muscle rather than fat. Makes him much more intimidating as well.

On that subject, take out Ron being a glutton. Some of the descriptions of him eating make me feel ill (I love food too, so that's saying a lot).

Way more villains from other houses (only Voldy, Snape and the Malfoys don't fit into other houses, IMO). And far more portrayal of good Slytherins. Maybe Albus was one. It can still have something of a "dark" reputation because of Salazar, but it didn't need to be the way it was in the books. BTW, a large group of them laughed at McGonagall getting put in St Mungo's and they're shown to be conspiring against Hagrid, so it's not just Harry's perception that they're awful...

I finished the Black Prism by Brent Weeks and I want to write my thoughts. Sorry to anyone who likes this book - I criticize it a bit.

What I liked:

The parallels between how Dazen awoke his red drafting abilities and how Kip awoke his red drafting abilities. OUGH. Especially when we see many drafters using red for destruction in the story. The contrast..

So many misunderstadings and pain due to Gavin's secret about his identity (Liv please I promise, your dad isn't being blackmailed!!) (Kip, please talk to Gavin about the knife 😭)

Gavin's escape from the blue prison was the funniest thing ever holy crap. I was so seriously stressed about it throughout the entire book and then the author BAMBOOZLED me. I love Dazen lmao

I laughed when one of the characters called Lord Omnichrome "Lord Rainbow". amazing 😂 The guy wants such an oh so cool name, listing a few, but someone out there is calling him Rainbow because who tf cares about that guy and his silly self-proclaimed lord titles

I love when a main character has to keep their identity a secret and they feel deep isolation due to living that constant lie! Thank you author. I am a sucker for it

I like that there were adult as well as fat main characters (so rare in action fantasy, from my experience), who I ended up liking and cheering for

Love the title Black Prism!! I instantly think of that one Pink Floyd album cover with the prism and the rainbow of light, which is cool. I wish the story showed me why it is called that though. I learned what a Prism was, but what is a Black Prism? Someone who could draft in complete darkness or something?

Ok now I'm a bit negative here:

Why did all the main female characters have to be love interests or a part of some boring romance, and were constantly thinking about guys or how she looked? Stop it

Yet another fantasy story I've picked up in the past few years that have a war and a wall within the plot. I'm so tired of a wall that MUST be protected at all costs and wars!! I'm not looking for stories like this. Why do I keep picking them up by accident? >_< (I'm looking at you, A Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy, The Shadow of What Was Lost, and Fourth Wing) (btw I did not finish Fourth Wing, and I barely finished The Shadow of What Was Lost. Both I didn't really like). Maybe this is why I don't read american fantasy novels very often anymore 🤔

I didn't like that a lot of the chapters were dedicated to the POVs of other characters, besides the main character. Because, at least one of those other character's POVs I ended up disliking reading. I had a similar problem when reading The Shadow of What Was Lost and the Stormlight Archive series (I really liked the Stormlight Archive though). At least the chapters were short, so I didn't get bored too much

"And Karris had abandoned him. Damn it. What kind of woman abandons a child?" (page 582) You mean, what kind of ADULT abandons a child. The sexism throughout the story didn't have to be there

I picked up this book because I went on google, looking for recommendations on books with unique magic systems. I love creative thinking and loopholes within the boundaries of a rigid magic system, like Lord of the Mysteries, World Trigger, and Witch Hat Atelier's. I found a recc that was for the Black Prism, where I ended up reading. Although it does have an interesting magic system, it wasn't really what I was looking for I guess? So I was a little disappointed tbh 😂 I would've loved to see more characters playing and doing more with the system. Gavin's inventions was a good example, but I wanted to see more

I wish the magic, luxien?, was described a little more. Like when Brightwater Wall was built (freaking walls), what color yellow was it? (maybe I did read that but I forgot?). Since I wasn't sure about the descriptions of the colors drafted, I kept imagining the colors as straight-out-of-the-paint-tube, saturated, colors. Which made me really not like the images I was having in my head tbh 😂

I guess in general, the book was entertaining enough for me to finish, but I won't be reading the whole series. By not reading any more though, I won't find out all of Gavin's goals, which I was super curious about.
