IT IS!!! i have to! i’m obsessed with them 😭 i simply cannot let it go. i spoke a little bit about it here but i’ve been turning the idea over and over and over in my head like a rotisserie chicken and can now tell you a few more things!! it’s not gonna be a long fic but it’s gonna be in three parts and we’re getting andrew, kevin and neil pov because i want to play about with their voices a bit! idk if i’m ready to commit to a new fandom so i am gonna get as much as i can out of the one fic, in case it’s the only one i’m writing lmao

part one is kevin’s graduation (neil pov) with a lot of feelings because it’s not that long after canon (?) and they’re all still v fucked up, part two is andrew’s (kevin pov) which comes with A LOT of pining and part three is neil’s (andrew pov) and finally some fucking resolution!! there’s gonna be a smidge of angst (i mean, the three of them are 90% trauma — how can i not 💀) but it’s gonna mostly be soft yearning and resolution!!

here’s the TINIEST snip for you, which may end up scrapped or looking very different because i’m still learning how to write them:

“So. Queen? Is that what we're calling him now?”

Neil starts on a strangled, messy explanation of the move he was attempting to name before Andrew arrived, but Kevin cuts him off.

“Like I’ve not heard you call Neil ‘bunny’ before.”

Andrew makes a retching sound.

“Rabbit, Kevin. Rabbit. Never bunny.”

Neil picks up the phone and Kevin hears the familiar tone that means he’s no longer on speakerphone.

“Okay, we’re gonna go get dinner now. Thanks for calling.”

Silence falls over them like an unexpected summer storm. In that silence, Kevin’s brain repeats on a loop the words he will never say:

I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you

“Bye, Kevin.”

“Bye, bunny.”

Neil makes a short squeaking sound and hangs up without another word.
