if i thought cunning racist dogwhistling were a respectable skill i'd give huge kudos to the writers of FarCry New Dawn

if you weren't inclined to think about it, you'd think the game agrees with you no matter what your politics. an identity politics liberal sees representation of Black women in the villains, and arent they so girlboss! they'll let me mix and match gender traits in the character creator, how pro-trans!

a fascist sees the story more for what it is: a prolonged fantasy about killing Black people, demonizing hip hop music and public art consistently throughout (btw the villains favorite color to paint shit is pink...) building a christofascist 'utopia' to oppose the fascist boogeyman

#NONE of the villains behavior makes any sense. if they were trying to justify it maybe we could quibble but #they rlly just have them choose the most violence in any situation. theyre strong and need to be taken down and yet somehow rlly incompeten #and the music they listen to is rlly good but i think also chosen specifically to annoy ppl who already hate hip hop #it does a lot of the stuff that ime has always made ppl older than me demand my music be turned down #(thumping bass. high pitch vocal loops. etc)
