is there a such thing as a static site generator that doesn't make me want to throw myself off of a cliff or should I just go back to making my shitton of character pages manually
#rnn.p#vent#everything I've tried just makes it frustrating and overly complicated#what I *need* is a way to turn my HTML template into a form that I can freely edit#so that I can just copy n paste into fields instead of having to do it 100 times into raw html files#and then have something take that and spit out static html#but instead I'm finding things that force me to create templates upon templates just to make me create markdown files#(which. ew. fuck markdown. I hate it I hate it I hate it)#that I'm pretty sure I'll have to update manually if I change my template#which COMPLETELY defeats the purpose#bc at that point I might as well just redo every page by hand#and anything that's meant to help with that just adds layers of complication with EVEN MORE shit I have to learn that I barely understand
