"Oooh, so thaaat's why you always let me have the last word," Yoimiya stood tall, tall as she could, to poke accusingly at his chest! "You didn't mind watching me leave!"

She believed those battles hard-fought, one stubborn force against another, but maybe some extra thought was necessary to establish her victory. Darn, back to 0-0 then. Circling her thoughts back, Yoimiya gave one last hard poke, settling a few paces away, hands clasped behind her back.

"Oh, you know, good days and bad days! I ~ think her good days have been outweighing her bad days as of late, she's getting up more, breathing in the fresh sunlight... you know, maybe if you did the same, we could hang out more!"

Busy, busy, busy. Gone were the days of walking home from school, seemingly a long stretch of sunlight remaining, primed for anything and everything, ripe for the picking! One step, two step, three, another two make a circle, and before Yusuke could register, he had a mighty shark in his midst!

"I'm kidding, I promise! But you've gotta' stop by more, Pops' can't eat all the food I make him, and Mom's always been a picky eater. You've gotta' pick up the slack!"

truly some people have no genre savviness whatsoever. A girl came back from the dead the other day and fresh out of the grave she laughed and laughed and lay down on the grass nearby to watch the sky, dirt still under her nails. I asked her if she’s sad about anything and she asked me why she should be. I asked her if she’s perhaps worried she’s a shadow of who she used to be and she said that if she is a shadow she is a joyous one, and anyway whoever she was she is her, now, and that’s enough. I inquired about revenge, about unfinished business, about what had filled her with the incessant need to claw her way out from beneath but she just said she’s here to live. I told her about ghosts, about zombies, tried to explain to her how her options lie between horror and tragedy but she just said if those are the stories meant for her then she’ll make another one. I said “isn’t it terribly lonely how in your triumph over death nobody was here to greet you?” and she just looked at me funny and said “what do you mean? The whole world was here, waiting”. Some people, I tell you.
