the  femme  narrowed  her  yes  as  she  was  completely  conflicted  on  whether  to  test  the  waters  or  simple  do  as  he  says.  her  lips  pursing  for  a  brief  moment  before  letting  out  a  deep  exhale,  her  eyes  rolling  before  folding  her  arms  across  her  chest.  a  childish  but  silent  tantrum,  "  fine.  .  ."  a  quick  response  before  taking  a  step  towards  the  open  door,  ecrin  didn't  want  to  make  it  hard  on  him  but  he  was  giving  her  little  to  work  with.  "  at  least  act  like  you  have  some  life  to  you.  i'm  a  delight  to  be  around.  "  mumbling  as  she  crawled  into  the  backseat.  semi  widened  eyes  landing  on  rhys,  "  i  can  try  to  make  it  easy  for  you  as  well,  just  meet  me  halfway?"

“if you don’t go home? that merely wouldn’t be an option because id pick you up and toss you into the back of the car. i really don’t have the time or patience for this. get in the car and you can rant and rave about your issues once you get home. your father wants you there so please, i don’t like this anymore than you do, so get in ecrin, now.” he wasn’t going to play this game with her at least not right now, not when there was too much on the line. he stood by the door, holding it open for her hoping that just this once she wouldn’t give him a hard time.

" with one brow perked, ecrin tried her best to muter a performative grin. it wasn't hard to tell that the situation was grand since her dad actually employed someone to watch over her. she didn't think a threat would lead to this but, she couldn't shake the ominous feeling in the back of her head. " oh c'mon on, you're like, throwing my vibe off." the woman huffed before running a hand through her hair— a nervous habit. ask your father. it struck a nerve within her to where she blinked a few times and her jaw clenched, " kind of hard to to when he won't talk to me. " it's been months since her dad spoke to her but it didn't make a difference in when he did. it was a dry conversation followed by hallow ' reassurance ' of how she's doing good. eyes darting from open door then to rhys, the earlier flare she had from the statement started to simmer as she took a measured step back. " what if i don't go home? " ecrin felt a burst of confidence from her ballsy comment. perking a brow before flipping her hair behind her shoulder with an additional arm fold across the chest.

he sighed and rolled his eyes as he walked over to the black tinted escalade pulling open the back door as he motioned for her to get in. ”if you want details you can ask your father, im here to pick you up and bring you home per his request. i don’t like this as much as you do but he’s a good friend of mine and if he thinks his family is in danger i will help to protect them even if im missing out on a beach vacation somewhere.” he looked down at his watch as he grabbed her bag and placed it into the backseat of the car. she was just as bratty and annoying as she was when she was younger.
