The Phantom Aces think they can challenge the Golden Army to an exhibition match and beat us at our own game. They may be undefeated, but they will never have the heart and determination we have.

In order to beat the best, you need to become the best. And that means practice, practice, and more practice. At their last official game before the exhibition, Brody made sure to rally his team. That's what a captain does, after all. The other players look to you for guidance and morale. It's a tough job, but that's why there's two captains! Definitely couldn't do it without Scott there by his side.

As Brody stepped up to the plate in the top of the 9th inning, the score already 10-3 in their favor, golden bat in his hand, he knew they had a good shot against the Aces. The Golden Army never goes down without putting up a fight! What they lack in home field advantage won't mean anything come game time. Plus some help from the golden gods never hurt.

A clean hit on the ball sends it flying into the outfield and Brody starts running to first, then to second. A solid double, letting Brandon sprint to home base for another run. The crowd cheered, their energy electric in the stadium. Yeah, they'd be alright.

Currently reading: oh boy. I've been hopping between books again. I'm about halfway through Lords and Ladies by Terry Pratchett and am a few chapters into Clytemnestra by Costanza Casati, but I've been craving (spoiler alert!) a really good romance so I think I put both aside for a bit and see about getting into the bridgerton books

Currently watching: I'm like 4 episodes into dungeon meshi 👍 I am slow and inconsistent at TV shows though. Also about halfway through a movie I'm watching with my husband. I think it's called Army of Thieves? It's about a German safe cracker hobbyist that gets brought into a heist and everything in Europe is like normal modern Europe but in America there is a zombie?? apocalypse?? just happening????? as a background plot???????? I'm incredibly charmed.

Currently craving: a good!!! fucking!!!!!! romance!!!!!!! I'm so tired of attraction at first sight that never goes any deeper than wanting to bone but being anxious and awkward about it 😮‍💨 I need to FEEL it! Why this one?? SHOW ME!! He was a boy she was a girl just isn't enough for me Avril!!! Am accepting recs. Save me tumblrinas. Please.

Coffee or tea: A cup of coffee at the start of every day makes Sarah a happy girl. But it has to be my shitty store brand hazelnut stuff with an entire tablespoon of sugar and a splash of hazelnut creamer or it's just no good.

i spent 45 entire minutes watching a movie my mom had put on about some sort of rivalry between a mean lady who owned a fashion business and her secretary who went to increasingly ridiculous means of undermining her. there was a very failed heist to get a necklace. and a fun clothes storekeeper who kinda dressed like david bowie. lots of silly clothes. the secretary was living a double life as a rogue fashionista who kept getting more attention than her boss. her boss had dalmations. it was fun. campy. secretary girl called herself cruella and i forgot that that name is copyrighted probably.and thought it was camp. no it was disneys cruella
