3. Can you tell us about your 5 most nostalgic muses?

1. Brooke Maddox is hands down number one. I've been roleplaying her since late 2016 and even though she's a canon character, she's basically an OC too at this point considering the amount of headcanons, meta and deep diving I went into her backstory to flesh her out. She is and always will be my baby and my longest running muse to date.

2. Isabelle Samson. Her story is dark but there's a lot more to her than meets the eye. She may be one of my most controversial characters. I've probably played her for 5 years now on and off? I've had people steal her and try to recreate her themselves, she's been on the receiving end of jealousy/hatred. And despite the roller coaster ride it's been developing her, I wouldn't give her up for the world. She may even make it into a script or future novel one day so ...

3. Madison Maddox is Brooke's future daughter and next gen. She's my bisexual queen. To this day, her threesome with her best friend and her bff's boyfriend lives rent free in my head. It was a wild time. She's grown so much and she still has ways to go. She's definitely flawed but I also think that's what makes her so realistic?

4. and 5. Sienna Fox and Cassie Howard are also nostalgic characters and have earned a spot on the list. I haven't played them as long but they're two others I've spent a lot of time developing on my own.

I love this question because... EVERYTHING. Early roleplaying days were so much more chill and laidback. People only care about aesthetics and being liked that they put 95% of their focus on themes and graphics and less than 5% on actual writing. I hate prose with a passion lol. To me... it’s not really writing but a confusing collection of words no one actually uses in real life and people only looked up on thesaurus and threw in. I miss groups before they became way too toxic and policing. I miss chatting with friends over IM (yes), skype, etc and writing back and forth until like 7am sometimes. I feel like a grandma sometimes who reminisces on the good ol’ rp days that sadly just don’t exist anymore =////

At 3:29 ET on August 30, 2021—early on the morning of August 31 in Afghanistan—the U.S. military mission in Afghanistan ended. It was the longest war in American history.

Among the last to come home were the 13 Americans killed in an ISIS-K attack last Thursday. They arrived at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware Sunday morning from Germany. President Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, and 8 aides attended the dignified transfer between the plane and a waiting vehicle.

In the last 17 days in Afghanistan, U.S. troops evacuated more than 120,000 people, making up the largest airlift in our history. For comparison, as Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post pointed out, the U.S. evacuated no Americans from the civil war in Yemen in 2015, and only about 167 from Libya in 2011.

While critics have suggested that America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan will hurt American credibility abroad, President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken have called for combatting terrorism through financial sanctions, bombing, and drone strikes like the one they used to retaliate against ISIS-K for the attack on the Kabul airport that killed more than 160 Afghans and 13 Americans last Friday, and by strengthening democracy at home.

There is plenty of work to do on that last front.

Last week, Peter Wehner, who served in the Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush administrations, pointed out in The Atlantic that the right wing has moved to such extremism that former president Trump, whose behavior seemed so shocking in 2015 and 2016, is now being sidelined by lawmakers and pundits who are even more extreme.

Yesterday, in an event hosted by the Macon County Republican Party, Representative Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) insisted that the January 6 rioters are “political hostages” and said he wanted to “bust them out.” When someone in the audience asked “When are you going to call us to Washington again?” he said, “We are actively working on that one…. We have a few plans in motion that I can’t make public right now.” He called for removing Biden from office under the 25th Amendment and added, “when Kamala Harris inevitably screws up, we will take them down, one at a time.” He concluded by saying: “The Second Amendment was not written so that we can go hunting or we can shoot sporting clays…. The Second Amendment was written so that we can fight against tyranny.”

Increasingly, right-wing agitators are calling for violent overthrow of the government.

Today in Pennsylvania, Steve Lynch, a candidate for Northampton County executive, said: “Forget going into these school boards with freaking data. You go into these school boards to remove them. I’m going in with 20 strong men and I’m gonna give them an option—they can leave or they can be removed.”

At a protest in Santa Monica yesterday before a vote on a mask mandate, a man held a sign with the names and home addresses of each Los Angeles City Council member and said protesters would go to the homes of anyone who voted for the mandate and, if it passed, “Civil War is coming! Get your guns!”

This sort of street-level violence is known for radicalizing individuals as they get swept up in it and then later embrace the larger political arguments behind it. It also forces more reasonable individuals out of government positions as they conclude that their position on a school board, for example,  is not worth threats against their families and their lives.

Far from trying to tamp down this violence, right-wing leaders are egging it on. Tonight, on the Fox News Channel, personality Tucker Carlson told his audience that no leader had apologized for “these terrible decisions” in Afghanistan. “This can’t go on,” he said. “When leaders refuse to hold themselves accountable, over time, people revolt…. We need to change course immediately… or else the consequences will be awful.”

The images on the screen behind Carlson were of President Biden, Secretary of State Blinken, Defense Secretary Austin, and Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Milley. Carlson often tries to undermine the current leadership of the military, suggesting that he would welcome its replacement by officers he finds less objectionable.  

Republican offense may be an attempt at defense.

Today, Representative Bennie Thompson (D-MS), chair of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, announced that the committee has demanded that 35 major communications companies preserve their records from April 1, 2020, to January 31, 2021, for people involved in the January 5 and January 6 rallies in Washington, D.C., or “potentially involved with discussions” about stopping the electoral vote count on January 6 or otherwise  “potentially involved with discussions" in planning the January 6 insurrection. According to CNN, the companies affected include cell phone giants Verizon Wireless, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Sprint. Social media companies covered under the request include Apple, Google, Facebook, Signal, Slack, YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter.

CNN reports that members of the committee have requested preservation of the records of representatives Cawthorn, Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), Jim Jordan (R-OH), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Mo Brooks (R-AL), Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Louie Gohmert (R-TX), Jody Hice (R-GA), and Scott Perry (R-PA). They have also asked the companies to preserve the records of former president Trump; those of his children Ivanka Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump; and those of his daughter-in-law Lara Trump and Don Jr.’s girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle, who worked on the campaign.

Those determined to regain control of the country from the Democrats also have to contend with continuing good news from Biden’s policies. A new study from the Center on Poverty and Social Policy at Columbia University shows that the first child tax credit payment kept 3 million children from falling below the poverty line and that the child poverty rate dropped from 15.8% in June to 11.9% in July. Coronavirus relief measures kept another 3 million children from poverty. Families are using the money to buy food and pay off debt.

The administration is also coordinating aid to the states hit hard by Hurricane Ida, which brought up to 15 inches of rain to parts of Louisiana and knocked out the state’s power grid. The administration deployed more than 3,600 employees of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas, who prepared more than 3.4 million meals, millions of liters of water, more than 35,700 tarps, and roughly 200 generators in the region before the storm hit. They have moved ambulances and search and rescue teams into the area and have opened shelters. The Army Corps of Engineers has mobilized personnel to remove debris and to provide temporary roofing and housing.

The administration is shifting its focus from unilateral military might to multilateral alliances to deal with common problems. Tomorrow, Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry will leave for Asia, where he will meet with leaders from Japan and then China to bolster international cooperation on climate change before the meeting of the 2021 U.N Climate Change Conference in early November.

Day 5

Today I woke up a bit earlier than I would for school, because I had work at 5:30 and needed to get homework done before then. For breakfast I just made myself two pieces of toast with peanut butter, banana slices, and cinnamon. I like to drink tea instead of coffee, but I don’t like how each tea bag comes inside its own smaller packaging within the smaller box. This morning I made some of the loose leaf tea I had, and I plan to only buy loose leaf after I run out of the individual packets.

The subject of this morning’s TED talk was happiness. The buddhist nun, Gen Kelsang Nyema, leads the talk by asking three simple questions. “Are you having a good day? Why? Tomorrow would you rather have a good day or a bad day?” She spoke how our happiness must be cultivated within, instead of depending on outside sources and random circumstance. For the last three minutes of her talk, she lead the entire crowd in a guided meditation, which was quite beautiful.

The remainder of the day before work, I consumed lots of information while doing homework. I caught up on blog posts, created my typography designs, and read lots of new information about typography as well as web design. Partway through doing homework, my roommate said that she was going to chipotle because he sister works there and she could get a free meal. I drove her there and we both split one, which ended up costing $4 because her sister couldn’t actually give it to us for free, so we got a discount. $2 lunch total! I needed to get gas after driving, so I put in about $15 worth because somehow in my mind it makes more sense to always fill my tank part-way instead of just biting the bullet and filling the entire thing.

I worked at 5:30, so I left my apartment at 5 to walk to sanford so I could take the 122 to MacNamara. I didn’t realize that there were fewer buses running on the weekends, and the 122 stops at carlson for 10 minutes so I just decided to walk the rest of the way. I’ve noticed that when I’m walking I tend to consume lots of negative thoughts or assume the worst, which is pretty unlike me. I think a lot of it is just feeling like I have to have my guard up, as a woman walking alone. Or maybe I just wanna be perceived as a badass. I realized this fairly on in the walk, and also recognized that I had a solid 20 plus minutes to think good things. I employed some of the techniques from Gen’s talk, particularly visualizing I was inhaling a bright white light that filled my body, and breathing out black smoke. This put me in a good headspace before work, and I had a great shift!

I walked home from work as well, which makes me a little nervous at night, but I facetimed Gabriel during my walk and consumed notes about his day. I ended the night doing some more readings for homework, but feeling very pleased I had gotten everything done! Procrastination has plagued me for the longest time, and I know (partially from experience) that at the start of every semester everyone is like “New semester new me! No more procrastinating! I’m gonna be so on top of my shit this year!” and then things go well for the first few weeks before old habits set it, but I am determined to procrastinate less this year. It makes life so much more enjoyable, and creates room for other interests that you can enjoy guilt-free without the looming fear of a paper due the next day hanging over your head. I consumed a couple more TED talks before bed, and went to sleep at about 12:30.

Our border with Mexico is wide open.

Deceit is rampant.

The Great Reset wants to seize our property and make our children wards of the state.

Globalists, including Pres. Biden, Pope Francis and others are pushing for a world government, forced vaccinations, and more.

America is threatened as never before in our history.

Israel is threatened and maligned.

God’s prophets warned us that many of these things would happen, and serious students of Bible prophecy are not surprised.

Here are more events that are moving us down the prophetic road:

One, on May 11, 2021, the Biden administration repeated its support for the two-state solution, and White House Press Sec. Jen Psaki said, “That is the only way to ensure the just and lasting peace.”

That belief comes from the pits of Hell because the Bible says God will drag the nations into the Battle of Armageddon for doing that (Joel 3:2).

That is one war that is not going to turn out the way world leaders think.

Israel did not respond.

On May 14, 2021, it was reported that Hamas was trying to convince Palestinians (and Muslims in other places) that they are the “Defender of Jerusalem” (The teaching that Jerusalem belongs to Muslims is a lie).

On May 15, 2021, it was reported that Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) are calling this conflict “The Al-Quds Swords War (Al-Quds is the Muslim name for Jerusalem).

The struggle for Jerusalem will continue until Jesus returns to defeat Israel’s enemies at the Battle of Armageddon.

Three, on May 12, 2021, the UN’s Middle East Peace Envoy warned that the uprising in Israel could escalate into a full-scale war, and the UN Security Council held its second emergency meeting in three days to deal with the situation.

Wars and rumors of wars are a sign of the end of the age.

Violence has now broken out between Arab and Jewish citizens in dozens of communities.

Four, on May 13, 2021, Hamas started firing more powerful rockets with a longer range into Israel, and it was reported that they have been trying (without success) to hit the offshore rig in Israel’s Tamar gas field.

Five, on May 13, 2021, Israel’s military announced that its ground troops were invading Gaza.

An hour or so later, Israel’s military announced that they had not started an invasion but were putting troops and weapons in place in case they wanted to start one.

These announcements were contradictory and confusing, but reporters hopped on the story and sent out word that the invasion was underway.

Shortly after that (early Friday morning), 160 Israeli planes dropped 450 bombs containing more than 80 tons of explosives on several kilometers of known terrorist tunnels in Gaza (One tunnel ran under a major street in Gaza City).

Israel’s military said the first announcement that the invasion had started was a ploy because they knew all the terrorists would rush into the tunnels, and they wanted to give them time to gather underground to hide.

Then Israel dropped all those bombs to bury alive as many as possible.

No one knows how many were buried, but Israel believes it was a large number.

On May 14, 2021, it was reported that Hamas leaders are deeply shocked at how many Hamas leaders have been killed, and they suspect that Israel may have hacked into their secret communication system (It has also been reported that the Senior Commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist group was killed).

On May 15, 2021, the IDF said, “No Hamas officer may feel safe, over or underground.”

On May 16, 2021, the IDF dropped 110 bombs that were designed to destroy tunnels on the network of terrorist tunnels.

On May 16, 2021, Israel destroyed the homes of 9 terrorist commanders (weapons were stored in some of those homes).

On May 18, 2021, the IDF estimated that it has destroyed 130 km (about 80 miles) of terrorist tunnels in Gaza.

Six, on May 13, 2021, terrorists in Lebanon fired 3 rockets toward Israel that landed in the Mediterranean Sea and did not hit anything.

Demonstrators in Lebanon started marching toward Israel while waving Palestinian flags.

When some of them crossed the border, Israeli tanks fired warning shots, and the demonstrators went back into Lebanon.

On May 17, 2021, terrorists in Lebanon fired 6 more rockets toward Israel, but they fell short.

Hezbollah has more than 200,000 rockets ready to fire at Israel.

Israel has warned Lebanon and Hezbollah that Israel will destroy Lebanon if Hezbollah attacks Israel.

On May 17, 2021, Jordan recalled its ambassador to Israel and expelled Israel’s ambassador to Jordan.

Jordan sent a message to UN Sec. Gen. Guterres saying Israel provoked her enemies into starting this war.

For whatever it is worth, some (not all) prophecy teachers believe there will be an end-of-the-age war called the “Psalm 83 War.”

Psalm 83 is an imprecatory prayer by a prophet and priest named Asaph (II Chron. 29:30), asking God to deal with Israel’s enemies at a time of great danger to Israel.

Those that believe a Psa. 83 war contend that several Psalms are prophetic (Psa. 2, 16, 21, and many more), prayers can be prophetic, and God will answer Asaph’s prophetic prayer.

The list of Israel’s enemies in Psa. 83 includes the Philistines (Palestinians in Gaza and Jordan), Moab (an area in Jordan), Ammon (a city in Jordan), with the inhabitants of Tyre (a city in Lebanon that is under the control of Hezbollah; Psa. 83:7).

83:4 says, God’s enemies will say, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation (let us destroy Israel); that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.”

83:5 says, “For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee” (the Muslims have gotten together and conspired against Jehovah).

83:11-12 says, “Make their nobles (leaders) like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna: Who said, Let us take to ourselves the houses of God in possession” (Let us, Israel, kill the leaders of God’s enemies because those leaders are saying, “Let us seize the holy places of Israel).

83:18 calls for the destruction of Israel’s enemies “That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth” (Destroy Israel’s enemies so people will know that God’s name is Jehovah and He rules over the whole earth).

Most Bible prophecy teachers that believe Psa. 83 is about an end-of-the-age war believe it will take place just prior to the Battle of Gog and Magog (Ezek. 38-39).

They believe this could also lead to the destruction of Damascus in one night (Isa. 17), and on May 14, 2021, at least 3 rockets were launched into Israel from Syria.

On May 18, 2021, a drone was sent from Syria into Israel, but Israel shot it down.

Eight, on May 17, 2021, it was reported that Directors of Microsoft wanted Bill Gates removed as a Director for an inappropriate relationship with a female Microsoft employee.

It has also been reported that Gates had a relationship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

This immoral globalist wants to tell everyone on earth how they should live, force everyone to be vaccinated, reduce the population of the earth, etc.

FILMMAKER TRENT HARRIS AND VACCINE WAR CRIMES

Legendary filmmaker and all around bon vivant, Trent Harris, makes his home in Salt Lake City. It's true. SLIGHT-OF-HAND FUNDING FOR THE “GREEN” INLAND PORT

OK, here's the situation. There will be transparency, of course, because those five people can bear their testimony whenever they want. And Inland Port Executive Director Jack Hedge told the naysayers not to worry because he is listening to all their whining. And we will put nice, big, green trees all the way around the port to make it look green — get it, GREEN. We can say it's GREEN and it will be the truth — sort of.

Aussi bon que le premier tome ! J'adore cet univers, je ne lis plus qu'en numérique alors quand j'ai vu que j'ai fais défiler le premier tome en version papier, il me fallait évidemment vite me trouver le deuxième tome... Pourquoi n'a-t-on pas encore la suite ! (oui il n'est pas encore publié en VO mais vite nom de nom !) J'aime tout ! Le décor, l'époque, le mélange de genre, les personnages, les dialogues, les descriptions... tout tout ! Mon dieu, cette chronique a déjà une quantité de points d'exclamations en trop. Je m'excite et je crie ! La preuve que j'ai vraiment plus qu'adorer. Madame Goodman vous avez beaucoup de talent, vous avez su tisser une histoire captivante avec le dosage d'aventure, de romance et le tout saupoudré de suspens ce qui fait qu'on est accro alors que c'est un petit pavé. Ne vous arrêtez pas à ce détail brave gens, je vous promets qu'on ne s'ennuie pas et qu'on en redemande... j'aurais suivis ces personnages avec encore le double de ces pages. J'ai lu jusqu'à très tard dans la nuit, quand bien même je devais me lever pour aller bosser, il me fallait ma dose. Je ne voulais pas quitter Helen et... *soupire* Carlston, et même toute la petite clique. Si au départ, j'étais agacé de voir Lady Helen subir un peu trop, qu'on décide à sa place, mais on l'a voit au fur et à mesure prendre confiance en elle et devenir leader. L'auteur parvient à rendre crédible le tout, malgré une époque difficile pour le libre arbitre des femmes, et les contraintes que cela impose donc à l'histoire, et ainsi à l'aventure. J'attends avec une impatience ENORME la suite ! Je serais presque capable de faire une déclaration d'amour à l'auteur ;)
