THE SOUL OF JI HOON
Character Name — Lee Ji Hoon
Age — 40 - 42
Role — Enterpriser
House — Minerva
FCs — John Cho, Gong Yu
STATUS — open
BEHIND THE SOUL.
“Nothing impresses him. You best get used to it.” It’s a not-so-friendly piece of advice that inevitably comes, where Ji Hoon’s professional standards are concerned. Does he apologize? Certainly not. A lion doesn’t concern itself with the opinions of sheep, and what is Ji Hoon, but a lion among Florence’s residents? It would almost be egoistic and intolerable, if Ji Hoon was not an exceptional attorney. But it was not always glory and accolades. A childhood spent shuttled from one adoptive family to another, lost in a sea of bureaucracy and false promises. It’s a wonder Ji Hoon survived, let alone thrived. But he pulled himself from his bootstraps, working three different jobs while completing his law degree in Cambridge. When graduation comes, so too do multitudes of offers from top firms. London. New York. Singapore. Yet the promised prestige does not call to him. Why lose himself in someone else’s empire, when he can create his own? In between perspective cities, he learns of Florence - and sets his ambitions to the thriving city. In twenty years, Lee Abara LLP evolved from a small practice to the foremost legal firm in Florence, and its surrounding cities. It’s no wonder, then, that Ji Hoon fits seamlessly into the role of Enterpriser. The very same ingenuity extended to Minerva’s ranks. Yet his veneer of professionalism and decorum teeters, as his faith in his Elder begins to shake. Will he be the one to pick up the pieces?
PROFESSION
Enterpriser for the House of Minerva - Managing Partner of Lee Abara LLP
SOUL CONNECTIONS
Ayesha Sharma - Soul Connection - Medium. Ji Hoon isn’t a man of impulsivity or recklessness. A string of almost-but-not-quite relationships litter his past, second always to his dedication to Minerva’s plight. But she catches his eye, at Edgar and Lorelai’s fifteen year anniversary parts, and she has not let go since. A rather inconvenient thing, when the lines between houses have never been more pronounced.
Andy Alvarez Abara - Soul Connection - Low. The adoptive son of Ji Hoon’s recently retired partner, Andy is the antithesis of Ji Hoon himself. A silver spoon, raised in the lap of luxury. The young lawyer knows nothing of hardship, or even the law itself. Or so Ji Hoon claims, as an excuse to overlook the obvious. With Andy’s growing repute as a “lawyer for the people,” he is set to eclipse his own father’s legacy. Ji Hoon has yet to determine if he applauds it, or wishes to remove him from employment altogether.
Andrea Rossi - Soul Connection - Low. Even as an up-and-coming lawyer, the Rossi’s were the brass ring. An impenetrable force that no amount of litigation or evidence could ever permanently destroy. But Ji Hoon is sharper now, more determined… And with the growing risks the youngest Rossi takes, it’s only a matter of time before Ji Hoon can build a case against them. The beginning of the end, for the House of Janus.

White Carnation | Woozi/Jihoon (I)
genre: fluff, flower shop au | woozi x florist!reader summary: jihoon had some bad luck today and needs to know what flowers to get that give him good luck word count: 1085 a/n: i’ve been on a jihoon spree lately, he’s just so cute! but i have so many wips why do i do this to myself lol this is word vomit. only warning is swearing. female pronouns.
Jihoon had the worst luck today. It was his turn to go out and get everyone lunch, but of course it had to be a day when it rained. Not only that, but after he bought his coffee to function before he ran his errands, he slipped and dropped it all over the sidewalk. He had to shamefully walk back into the cafe and buy another one covering in dirty puddle water.
It took him nearly an hour all together just to arrive at the restaurant. Carrying the bag of fried chicken in one hand, he held his phone in another, checking the message he just received from Seungcheol.
‘Hey, are you almost home? Can you stop by that flower shop near the dorms on your way home? Seungkwan wants to fill the vase and says it’s bad luck to have it empty.’
“I’ll show him bad luck,” he muttered.
Jihoon stood in front of the oddly rustic and worn flower shop. He had never been to a flower shop before, but he always thought they were supposed to look girly and cute, even on the outside. Well, maybe he shouldn’t be calling it a flower shop, considering there weren’t any flowers when he stepped inside.
“Hello,” you greeted, not looking up from your monthly subscription about indoor plants. You stopped trying to be so chipper and welcoming when all of your customers were hipsters who just wanted to take pictures in front of the succulent wall. When you looked up out of curiosity, you couldn’t have been more correct - a cute boy with glasses, a beanie, and carrying a cup of coffee. He didn’t have any friends with him, though, so you really hoped he wasn’t about to take a million selfies.
Thank goodness he didn’t, but now you had to bother with his questions as he approached the register. Closing your magazine, you gave him your fakest sweet smile. Though he couldn’t tell it was fake, as it made his cheeks blush as much as a real one did.
Was blushing from the smile of the flower shop owner an overused trope? Because Jihoon felt like he was in a drama.
“How may I help you?” you asked.
“U-Uh,” he stuttered, still stunned by your smile. It made you quirk your brow - he really was cute. “My friend sent me to pick up some flowers…? He said you were the closest shop, but all I see is green…”
“Oh, no, the flowers are next door!” you chuckled, pointing to door that connected the rooms. You walked around the desk to meet him, charmed by how short he was. “This is where you buy plants for your home.”
“That makes more sense.”
“I can help you. Do you know what you’re looking for?”
“Not in the slightest.”
“Yeah, most guys don’t.”
You led him to the room full of primmed and plucked flowers. His mouth hung open, seeing all different types of flowers and colors he’d never even seen before.
“I like to call this the rainbow room, the unicorn room, or simply, the happy room.”
“Is the other room not happy?”
“Not really, all the green makes it kind of sad,” you said. “So what exactly did your friend tell you to get?”
“We just moved into our new dorm down the street and they asked me to buy flowers to fill the vase because it’s bad luck to have a vase empty?”
“That’s definitely true,” you lied. You’ve heard that myth so many times, but it’s sold you a lot of flowers, so you just played along. “By the looks of your damp pants, you look like you need a lot of luck.”
“Yeah, I, uh, slipped and fell,” he said, clearing his throat.
“How about these?” you asked, picking out the best looking carnations. “White carnations, by its simplest definition, are a symbol of good luck.”
“Yeah, can I get like, thirteen of those?”
“Thirteen’s an unlucky number, you know.”
“… Make it seventeen.”
“You got it ~”
You wrapped the seventeen white carnations in a simple brown wrapping with a white ribbon to hold it all together. Jihoon watched your careful, delicate hands wrap the large bundle without crushing a single petal. What an odd skill you held.
“And would you like to sign up for our newsletter?” you asked reluctantly, already knowing the answer.
“Sure,” Jihoon said, surprising the both of you. Not only did no one ever agree to sign up for the newsletter, but Jihoon was one of those people that never spends the time to sign up for spam mail, even if they contained coupons.
Guess you were different.
“Lee.Jihoon,” you read aloud. “I’m assuming that’s your name?”
“Yeah,” he said nervously. He liked the way his name sounded coming from your lips.
“Well, Jihoon, enjoy all the luck you can get,” you smiled, handing him his bundle. “By the way, that myth about the empty vase is a lie.”
“Yet you let me buy seventeen carnations anyways?”
“Sorry ~ I work off commission,” you winked. “I hope to see you soon, Jihoon.”
As he walked out the door, he hoped you meant that last part.
“Carnations?” Seungkwan asked, placing the white flowers in the pot. “They’re kind of ugly, aren’t they?”
“Yah, don’t be rude,” Seungcheol scolded. “He went out of his way for them because you’re so superstitious.”
“I just want all of us to live happily!”
“It wasn’t a problem,” Jihoon interupted. “It was nice exploring the neighborhood.”
All of the boys looked at each other questioningly before squinting at Jihoon.
“What…?” he laughed nervously.
“‘Exploring the neighborhood’? You never even explored the dorm when we moved in, you just went straight to your room!” Mingyu teased.
“Can’t a man enjoy his day off without being questioned!?”
“Why did you buy so many?” Seungkwan asked.
“I was going to buy thirteen for each of us, but she said that thirteen was an unlucky number.”
“She!?” they all said in unison.
“Ah, no wonder, he came back smiling ~” said Wonwoo.
“Are you surprised?” Jeonghan asked.
“Not really.”
“I’m going to my room,” Jihoon pouted, ignoring all the teasing remarks from his members. “The empty vase myth is a lie, by the way!”
“Oh yeah, did the flower girl tell you that?”
“Did you want a carnation for your room!? Maybe the scent of her perfume is still on the stems!” Mingyu shouted.
Today was not Jihoon’s day.
