It was way too early in the morning when the sound of Cole’s cell phone going off had woken him up from his deep slumber. As much as he wished he’d been able to hit the ignore button to be able to go back to sleep, he knew that he’d get punished for that later. No matter the time, he’d learned he needed to always answer when he got a call. It was part of the job. He was needed. What for? Cole didn’t even know. Edgar wasn’t exactly very descriptive. In fact, he wasn’t descriptive at all. All he’d been told was to pick Edgar up and then was given the address to where they’d be going. That’s where they had just arrived. It was a massive house. So big that it needed a freaking security guard up front. There was a lot of yelling going on and he had never felt this lost before. Eventually, he’d been shoved inside by Edgar, being instructed to apprehend the girl that was doing half the yelling. Now his instructions had been apprehend, but do not hurt. Which seemed easy enough at first, except this girl was yelling at him to stay away. There were a lot of swearing and threats. “Sorry, but I really have to do what they say. If you could just… Y’know, just sit down. Everything will be fine.” Could she even hear him right now? Cole made a face and sighed, raising his hands defensively. “I’m not gonna hurt you, but you need to stay here and stop with the yelling. Please.”
