Same face syndrome sucks, but what if Maddie looked more like Jinx? Not like blue hair or anything, more like nose, eye shape, and cheek bones. Where it's not immediately noticeable, but it's there if you just take a minute.
When Maddie gets more screen time, as we see her more with Caitlyn (and less with Vi), the similarities become more apparent. The more obsessed Caitlyn becomes with finding and capturing Jinx, the closer she gravitated to Maddie, the more Vi and Caitlyn drift. For Vi meanwhile, Maddies' resemblance to Jinx only serve to further alienate her from actually understanding her sister as Maddie is a (passively) hostile element in her new role as an enforcer. Vi can't escape the shadow of her sister and the way Jinx's presence, let alone her actions affect her life her life in Piltover, Zaun, and with Caitlyn.
Even better, when Caitlyn and Maddie officially hook up, it' really when she's down the rabbit hole on Jinx and just enables her worst traits, like her issues with power imbalances. It already wasn't great with Vi but with Maddie looking more like Jinx, it's not just the implication of Caitlyn having power over Maddie, but Caitlyn having some kind of power over Jinx, even if she's a substitute.
#arcane#jinx arcane#caitlyn kiramman#vi arcane#maddie nolen#caitvi#pistolwhip#caitjinx#idk what cait and maddie's ship name is#this show wants toxic yuri but it's afraid of real toxic yuri#the potential was there!#i saw an interview that said maddie was the kind of girl her mother would approve of#...and 1. that never materialized in the show 2. it's an ok idea but doesn't go far enough#maddie should be Caitlyn's replacement for Vi AND Jinx#and she's not a Noxian spy here#that twist only exists to make caitlyn look less toxic and that's the opposite way of doing toxic yuri#arcane ramble#jinx but a redhead?

we want the work blowout deets
I'll give you the tea but it will be lengthy and I'm going to cry.
Thank you for asking anon. To be honest with you I've been crying in bed about it for the past couple hours. I stood up just now and went to the bathroom and saw two big wet patches on my smiley face tshirt and it sucks so much. I'm so sad.
I could really use some feedback on this situation to be honest. OK. So the long story short is that I got a new supervisor a year ago and my work life has been hell ever since. First off, she doesn't understand what I do. She's never done my job. And she is THE micromanager from hell. For the first 7 months of the year she had me turning in a time card every week showing everything I did down to 5 minute increments. I turn the spreadsheet in on Friday, then every Monday we'd have a meeting where she'd tell me she just doesn't understand how I use my time. Why did it take so long to do X amount of invoices? She estimates it should take 2 minutes per invoice, but it took me 4 minutes per invoice. Like I said she knows nothing about my job and as many times as I've explained it she still "doesn't get it." It was demoralizing, nerve wracking, and frankly so insulting to my competence that I went to her boss (my old supervisor who I love). When she did nothing I went to HR with serious concerns about discrimination----it's no coincidence that I was granted some medical leave at the beginning of the year to address mental health concerns.
Yada yada yada, we made some changes and I don't have to turn in the spreadsheet anymore, but she is still making me email her every week with a list of tasks I didn't complete from the week before. It's still insulting but at least she agreed I'd only have to do it for another 3 months. Actually she said 1 month, but she's such a bitch that by the next HR meeting she claimed she never said 1 month and switched it to 3 months. She's a fucking moron, reader. She's dead fucking stupid. I really can't stress that enough. Dumb. It took her 15 years to get the position I got within 3 years of starting. The only reason she's where she is is seniority, personal relationships with management, and being a fucking bully. A dumb bully! Telling you how to prioritize your work! She's accused me recently of being unprepared for a meeting---a meeting that I hosted, provided all the material for, wrote all the notes on, fleshing out a new process she told me to start implementing but had zero idea how. She just tosses ideas at me and I'm left to figure out any kind of practical way to do it because---AGAIN---she doesn't know how to do my job. There've been other things too. She's a sneak humiliator. She's a button pusher. She's a moron. A big fat ugly moron who looks like Roz from Monster's Inc.

So on Thursday at 4:30pm, end of the day, suddenly a meeting with HR and this cunt appears on my calendar for 10am Friday (yesterday). I'm like---well here we go. She's either going to fire me or put me on a formal PIP. I'll be honest with you, I'd already decided to quit but I was holding out for my bonus in December. I entered the meeting feeling tranquil. I thought, "Do it. Pull the trigger. I'm ready for the end. Just fire me. Let me go. Release me."
But when the meeting starts it's just a touch base with our HR rep to see how everything is going. Are YOU fucking KIDDING me. Anyone would have thought the same thing I did. Of all the things my supervisor sucks dicks at, communication is the worst of all. She can't even spell. She can't string a sentence together. I mean it's shocking she writes at like a 6th grade level. I've seen emails she sent that are so garbled they are literally incomprehensible.
So I'm PISSED. I express how nerve-wracking the previous evening and all morning had been. We're off to a great start. She lets me know she's going to try to end the email process early. OK good. She tells me she's concerned because I haven't been providing personal feedback to her when prompted. Easy enough to explain: I hate your fucking guts, I'm trying to be a grey rock until I can quit. But I can't say that so I'm just like Alright.
Now here comes the bullshit! 1) She now wants me to ask permission in advance to work on weekends. I'm so overworked and stressed out I work like every weekend and now she wants me to ask her permission for the privilege of working on my day off. Guess who's never working a weekend for this company again. 2) The emails that just contain a list of tasks, right? Was 1 month, now 3 months, etc. She also changed the rules so that I have to provide a count of all the claims I processed across multiple platforms. And well---she just doesn't understand how I processed X number of claims and it took this long. In fact, she said, she counts 8 hours reported on my timecard she can't account for last week.
I lost it. I was openly hostile and belligerent. Fuck this fucking bitch. I cannot work for this vile idiot anymore. I actually used my IRL voice to poke holes in what she was saying and pointing out how fucking stupid it all is. Then she comes at me for not respecting her authority. As a reminder, just minutes before she'd complained about me having no feedback for her.
I left the meeting by refusing offers for additional time with the HR rep. I was in no place. I barely worked the rest of the day I was so upset and I didn't send my email, didn't complete my tasks, and didn't ask her permission to finish it up on the weekend (lol). I don't have another job lined up but this is the last time she's going to question whether I'm just straight up lying on my timecard or some kind of moron. That's it. This is her 100th strike for me.
Now here's why I'm so conflicted. 1) My previous supervisor (now my boss's boss) is going on a leave of absence like THIS WEEK for about a month and a half to treat her cancer. I care about her very much. I don't want to stress her out at the last second like this. 2) My bitch boss is also having a sudden serious health problem requiring her to be at the hospital multiple times a week. 3) On top of that, this stupid fucking cow has to take over my boss's boss's work while she's out for cancer. 4) They are absolutely fucked without me. For me to leave right now is a disaster. Add to that---the one person I manage and have a 100% rock solid relationship straight up told me that she's going to quit at some point and that if I quit she's walking out right behind me. She said this to me unprompted and I discouraged her from quitting. 5) I have a heart. The boss and the boss's boss are both having life problems that are more important than work. I think it's immoral to leave them in the lurch right now. They have serious health problems. As much as I hate my boss, at one point we were friends. My heart is breaking.
So I'm crying in bed. I can't live this way anymore. Toxic work stress has taken over my life. I get so miserable, but then some days it's just a job. It's a job I know how to do. I've been here 6 years. The health insurance is spectacular. I've got nothing lined up. I have adequate savings to get through a couple months of unemployment, but it's no guarantee I'll find a position that suits me in that timeframe. I have all these personal relationships at work (a mistake I will not repeat). I've let this job become part of my identity. I'm getting older. I'm 37 and I'm tired and I'm crazy and I just want peace. This position is fully remote---what if the next guy makes me work in person? My whole life will change. I just want this job to work like it has been for the 5 years before she took over. I'm so sad. I've felt this way so many times.
I want to quit first thing Monday. But I want to offer them the option of staying on until good boss gets back from cancer leave, so long as I don't have to work with illiterate cunt boss any more than is absolutely critical in the meantime. What do you think guys? My heart is breaking.

I watched - Evil Dead 2 - 1987
"A campy horror movie who knows it's camp but not in a bad way."
I like this franchise, like in the, "I've seen the original trilogy and some of the TV show". I'd recommend this movie to people, 1 is take it or leave it and Army of Darkness if you enjoy the slapstick nature. I like A Wounded Fawn for the same kind of reason I like this movie. It's just, "let's torture a guy for the majority of the runtime".
That being said, I don't have much else to say about the movie itself. But I have a lot of thoughts about what I'm doing with these and my critical lens below.
I keep plugging along on these little review things as a sort of diary I think. I'm not actually sure. I've tried diaries and it never works. But this is consistent (at least on a keeping the queue logged so I can come back to it later). If I ever choose I can compare how I view a movie one viewing to another, or just get my general viewpoint from a certain time.
The other reason is much smaller, I figure if anyone takes a longer look at the things I like to watch/read/play, and finds enough similarities they could appreciate other things I enjoyed. Also the fact I limit myself to Games, Movies, TV shows, and Books. Like, comparitively it's a fraction of what I'm doing. It doesn't cover the hours of youtube I watch. Or the games I partially play. Or the music I listen to.
Part of the reason is music, I just enjoy what I listen to and don't have much to say about it. I like it, it's good. Partially played games I can't in good conscience put out material on. Either because I didn't like them in which case there is no reason to put negativity out there without at least trying to leave good feedback. Or because it's hard to speak on only a portion of the story (which is mostly what I play for). Youtube doesn't get any blurbs not because it isn't chock full of effort. Moreso because I can't devote that much time to doing "I watched" on that many videos. And all that doesn't even touch on the small amount of multiplayer things I do. I've been playing Stardew Valley modded and Monster Hunter Rise!
Writing out my thoughts on this was useful because I'm thinking maybe I keep a monthly, "Here are a handful of things I've been interacting with that don't warrant a deeper dive." Moving forward thing I guess.
Or maybe my critical writing is just so prolific and interesting that it demands attention. Speaking of...
I have no idea what my lens looks like. Outside of the fact that 6 and 7 out of 10 media has more to talk about for me. A lot of times how I interact with media feels lacking. I've probably typed out a variation on that sentence before. There's a game I'm playing right now that I have a lot to talk about (but later). But I don't have much to say about Evil Dead.
It makes me wonder what I'm missing. What subtext. What prejudices. What influences. Regardless of whether I'm consuming media by themselves with no greater knowledge of their creators or themes. That doesn't mean they exist in the vacuum I'm consuming them. Counter to that. Games and Video involve a lot of people. There is so much of the world and people that gets distilled into these products. Obviously this is dependent. Indie things and books involve generally a much smaller number.
Back to the point, sometimes I feel that I can't pick these things up. Actually wait, another tangent. It's ok that I don't! That doesn't invalidate how I or other's have interacted with something. Even if I don't pick up on as many of the themes of like, Signalis, it doesn't mean I can't enjoy my time with it.
But there are times where it can matter. When either on purpose or on accident creators weave in themes that are detrimental. I want to see these things not just to demonize the works. Just being able to recognize them and point them out is enough! There are times where it's like I can only view the edge of the canvas of a piece of art I know is beautiful. But I can't shift my perspective enough to view the whole image.
So I think that's it. If you stuck with my rambling and get anything out of it, take this knowledge. Things are molded by people and those people are molded by the world around them. Regardless of their intent, they put themselves into what they make, the good, and the ugly.

Six Sentences Sunday (except is an art process)
Well, hello there, beautiful creatures! :D thank you so much for the wonderful tags!!! they mean a lot for meeee!! I haven't posted in a bit, doing a master is a bit stressful. But! I'm always lurking around and seeing as much as I can the amazing things you all are creating!! As you might know, I'm right now doing lots of fan work for my amazing and beautiful friends @confused-bi-queer and @hushed-chorus, which stories are very close to my heart <3
This time, I would like to share my art process. It is a contrast between the traditional art, and the digital one. Each process is different with each person. When you want to represent something someone else created, it is important to get as many insights and feedback from them, and know the source material. Previous: The Talk ™ First and foremost, you need to talk with the author. Maybe if you are doing fanart, is not that needed. But when you are doing a collab, it is important to be in the same channel as the author, and have a brainstorming about the ideas, vision or insights they might have. Contrasting ideas, situations, deciding which illustrations are more viable, scheduling the releasing, etc. all those topics are important! Feel free to suggest creative adjustments, might or might not work for the author, but is worth the shot. A creative idea is never a wasted one ;) once you have decided, then is time for: 1. Sketching

The sketching part is very important! You layout your scene for the first time! start deciding where light and dark will be, the color palette, the feeling you want to evoke, and work with the expressions the characters will have. It doesn't need to be perfect to be a good sketch! It needs to evoke the idea! This stage is the same in both traditional and digital, at least for me. I always start on paper :) I show my sketches to the author, and we fangirl together ;) then (after maybe some adjustments, maybe a whole new sketch) they approve the idea! Is time for: 2. Lineart

Lineart is different for traditional and digital, but not really. For traditional, I first decide which kind of medium I will use. This will be crucial for the materials I will procure myself with. This time I went for watercolor with a bit of mixed media, so I needed a paper strong enough for the watercolor to behave. Then, I chose the liners, which are waterproof and light fast. I line with 0.5, 1.0, 4.0 and some edged broader pens meant for calligraphy. In digital, I work with a Wacom bamboo and Photoshop, and I use some hard brushes with pressure sensitiveness activated. You can customize your brushes, or use packs available on the internet. The wonders of digital are that you can make as many mistakes as you want, and you can always go back. I usually paint my lineart in the darkest shade I will use in the whole illustration, but never black. When you are happy with your lineart, then is time for:
3. Colours!!

The fun part! The one I enjoy (and suffer) the most!! Color. I love painting, but both traditional and digital can be as demanding as you wish! In traditional, you have to be more careful with the mediums. Watercolor is such a wonderful and nightmare way of expression, because you can't really control it. You have to be ok not being in that control, understand how it behaves, and work fast. I always end up adding acrylics for color enhancing, lights, and specific details I want to represent. Let your work rest, I can have a finished piece in two hours, or in three days. In digital, unhinge. Unhinge my child, have fun! You can correct, filter, move values and start again as much as you want!! There are so many brushes, so many filters, so many textures, the whole color palette light allows! Have fun! But two important things I always do: make a folder for each character. Don't be me some years ago, when I used to paint everything in a single layer, or not name any of them. Order is important when you want to correct things. Also, I encourage you to limit your color palette, this way the whole illustration makes sense. I always do something I call 'The ambience layer', where I put a layer over the lineart and everything, and I add lights, shadows, textures, etc. not specific of any object but of the whole scene. And I always add filters and color correction and tweak the values here and there. Great! Now you have a: 4. Finished piece

You have finally finished! Make sure you sign your pieces, and you give them digital treatment if you are going to publish them on the internet. Always work with RGB values, and export for web :) always send your advances to your authors, and send the finished piece via e-mail, so it doesn't lose quality. - - - - - - So yeah, this is basically the whole process :D soon I will share a different process with different versions of the art involved. Would you like me to create a guide with export values and formats and all that jazz? I hope you enjoy this! :D Please check the fics these pieces (and many more) were made for: The Rise and Fall of Us and What Remains After the Storm. I tag: @hushed-chorus @confused-bi-queer @kohatenz @artsyunderstudy @moodandmist @mostlymaudlin @palimpsessed @henreyettah @aristocratic-otter @cynopoe @bookish-bogwitch @cutestkilla @wellbelesbian @skeedelvee @cattocavo @krisrix @johnwgrey @asticou @takitalks @ionlydrinkhotwater @dragoneggos @ic3-que3n @castawaypitch @ileadacharmedlife @stitchyqueer @facewithoutheart @fatalfangirl @thehoneyedhufflepuff @aroace-genderfluid-sheep @bazzybelle @basiltonbutliketheherb @nausikaaa

this ask/reply is long so im just putting it together as a textpost help me shark if you're out there
Anonymous asked: hi ok im super super sorry if this is bothering you but ive been meaning to ask it for like 6 months or something . i was introduced to your work via skin game and my brain latched to it ever since i read it. me and some other friends really enjoyed the fic even if it was a short read and i was wondering if youre comfortable sharing chapter 2 either publicly or privately? again im ultra mega sorry if this comes off as creepy or weird or something ive been stressing over it for liek 3 days since i didnt want to bother you :(
either way, love your work so much. your fanart introduced me to both arknights and rwby (though a friend kind of pushed me to actually start watching it lol) and theyre both really great series :) your work is a huge inspiration for me and my friend group and your writing is just insane /pos
(3rd paragraph omitted bc i cant priv reply and im excluding your offsite info even if its under a readme HFDBHJF)
hi shark!! ofc i remember you we are like soldiers side by side in the trenches of takano posting 🫡
so first of all thank you so much for following and enjoying my work 🥰 i'm always happy to help drag people into the arknights/rwby zone HEHEHE i'm glad you enjoy what i make!!! it means a lot to me 😊 thank you!!!
now. THE THING ABOUT skin game ch2. is that it's pretty rough. i had a look at it the last time something prompted me to think about the fic and it's not really presentable (i don't know if i even finished editing it back in ….. 6 years ago… oh god). it also doesn't have all of its art (which might be a blessing in disguise given the art it does have is …. 6 years old… oh god)
getting it to a state i consider readable would take a good chunk of work, which is why i put it off again after looking at it. it's almost 12 thousand words of … uhhh… shall we say… unnnnpolished material. i think i couldn't even share it privately because i would be embarrassed to show someone something so unfinished and janky. not to mention not having all of its art finished. so i got kind of stuck last time and just put it off again bc the amount of work it very obviously needed was like. "Christ OK Not Now" yknow…
it does bolster the spirit when i remember you and your friends. it means a lot to me that you care about it even after so long!!! i just have NO idea when i'm going to get around to editing something of that magnitude @_@ i was really a dummy about chapter lengths back then… HFDBHJGJMK
it's really kind of a shame too becahse chapter 1 and 2 together are sort of the introductory portion for our 2 primary characters. so it feels like only half of the intro is done right now. since ch1 detailed how kyrie ended up at that plaza meeting takano, ch2 would detail how takano ended up there, meeting kyrie. and then we would proceed into the future from there. as a renowned Takano Guy, obviously i was very interested in this, but for various reasons i never finished polishing it and drawing the art…
ch2 also features ikuko so you KNOW its dear to me
overall being like 5-6 yrs old theres a disconnect where i don't feel like ch2 right now is achieving what it should, and i see a lot of concrete problems with concrete solutions, but it's an editing of such Magnitude that it keeps being pushed back in favor of other stuff. oh, ephemeral soul…
some of the art i did get done for it is pretty cute though, like these baby miyos;
so that's pretty good, but i didnt FINISH drawing the art, ARGHH
it is really hard to say. bc when i KNOW there's people out there who remember it and care about it, that does motivate me to return to it. but it has a lot of stuff that needs doing, and is a very old project, so it's unclear to me right now when it would receive the attention it desperately needs before it can be shown to other people... i super can't in clear conscience accept anything like payment/etc for that kind of vague half-promise either, although i appreciate the thought xD
i'm sorry it's such an inconclusive answer, but i am sort of an inconclusive guy when it comes to projects... i jump around a lot as i'm sure you've observed in your time following me 😭 it's important to me to have that freedom, but i do care about SG too, so we just sort of have to see if i can surmount the magnitude of the work i accidentally set up for myself half a decade ago (*turning into stone*)
but it makes me smile when i remember you're out there thinking about this weird little AU. so, thanks. 😌 a soul still burns...
.
and then after all that CH3 was going to have more of best girl 🥺.....

Can I get some Wyrm's Bride thoughts/headcanons, please? (Sorry if this comes in twice, your ask box was acting a little weird earlier!)
OH MY GOSH OK IM SO SORRY IT TOOK ME A HOT MINUTE TO REPLY TO THIS COLLEGE/WORK HAS BEEN GETTING BUSY AND MY BRAIN ROT HAS BEEN DIRECTED ELSEWHERE HHHHHHH😭😭😭😔😔 I've been neglecting Grima and Tathareth, it's unfair-
OK GONNA TRY AND MAKE THIS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE AS IM CURRENTLY HALF AWAKE AND ALLERGIES ARE KICKIMG MY BUTT
BUT👏👏 Wyrm's Bride AU!! Kinda of a 'fairytale au' that's based off the fairytale Lindworm Prince and Russian film I Am Dragon! Grima is a beeg ole snake/lindworm creature, Tathareth is someone offered up as a sacrifice to him but PLOT TWIST he doesn't kill her and romance shenanigans ensue 😩💦
Grima became creature because of Sauruman because.... of course! Wizard is petty and mean enough to curse him like that lmao, probably as some sort of punishment for being a shitty spy in Rohan once the Fellowship shows up like the gang of absolute Giga Chad Madlads that they are😔😔😔
Never put TOO much thought into this curse but I love the idea of it being a 'man at night, creature during the day' !
Snake!Grima makes lots of gator sounds! The deep, growling purrs, especially. XD
Probably has a HOARD! Some small treasures, but mostly hoards stuff like books, scrolls, etc. Prefers bookish materials over finery, lowkey 🥺
In terms of like... inner turmoil Grima wants to try and separate HIMSELF from his Wyrm self. Sort of like he does in Serpentine Whispers, where there is Grima, a man who is cunning and has the capacity to do good (but chooses not to), and then there is Wormtongue, the sly, dark ugly and unwanted aspects of his character.
So in this AU there is Grima, the man, and the Wyrm, an embodiment and manifestation of everything awful about him
Tathareth is offered as a sort of sacrifice to him because elves of Lothlorien (or off brand Lothlorien in a separate fantasy setting lmao), in a moment of infinite wisdom, think that giving a giant Wyrm that made himself at home in some caves just on their realm's borders a maiden to "wed" (or eat lmao) would appease him......also they wanna make peace with the beeg scary lizard before it becomes a nuisance 😩💦....also they could slay him themselves but for plot convenience we'll just say that elves aren't privy to slaying dragons anymore
And she is given as a sacrifice since she's no (living) family to be remembered by and she makes no effort to be social, and create social bonds, with elves soooooooo needless to say she wouldn't be missed 😩😔
She gets all done did and elaborately dressed in a gaudy bridal gown of lace and gossamer and silks, wears a veil and jewelry adorned with bells to garner attention, wears wreaths and headdress made of various red flowers, wears gaudy red makeup, and spent the previous night drinking a FUCKTON of wine so her blood tastes sweet..... and she also has a blade hidden on her, a fancy bejeweled one, that she hopes to use to slaughter her wyrm husband
A whole procession ensues, including the elves bringing various elven treasures and luxury foods, even having Tathareth riding atop an elaborately adorned horse with the intention of Grima devouring it as an offering as well. LOOKS like a wedding procession, but the somber folk hymns being sung and dour atmosphere make it feel like one for a funeral.
Tathareth has a whole internal meltdown realizing how her people never truly cared for her, thinking so little of her that they throw her away to be eaten by a wyrm. Realizes that she must be undesirable and wretched if that's the case.
Grima never devours her (or the horse) and spares her life, but accepts her as an offering for a wife because 1) pretty lady and he feels bad 🥺 2) .......actually 1 is one of the only reasons because why not
Tathareth is too scared to really do anything, let alone try to slay him as she planned, so she just tries to hide and cry her feelings out
Nighttime comes and BAM! She meets human Grima😩
She believes him to be a prisoner of the Wyrm as well, so she begins to cling to him as a companion so she feels less alone 😔
Grima just tries to distance himself from his Wyrm self because he is terrified of being reminded of his shitty behavior lmao
So she gets sad whenever he leaves her during the day for reasons that are a mystery to her, buuuuuuutttt she gradually puzzles out that Grima and the Wyrm are one in the same because obviously lmao
Because it's quite the coincidence that Grima disappears in the day only to he replaced by the Wyrm, and vice versa
And because both exhibit melodramatic, sneaky, intelligent, and overall cold attitudes
But a friendship develops when Tathareth realizes that Grima ain't so bad 🥺
And friendship turns to love ofc😭😭😭🥺🥺
Love confession scene would deadass look something like this scene:
youtube
Tathareth wonders if she can heal him at all, but comes to terms that her powers as a healer can only go so far when it comes to healing black magic 😔
So Grima is snake forever
But they manage
As beeg snake and hippie elf wife lmao
HHHHSHSBSJJSSNJSKS IVE NOT THOIGHT OF THIS AU IN AGES OH MY GOSH HHHHHSBSBS
thank you SM for this ask, bro!!!!!🥺🥺🥺💛💛💛 I hope ya like my crazy aah rambling
#tathareth and her lil snake man 🥺#serpentine whispers#jojo rambles#grima my beloved 😭#grima wormtongue#.....it gives wyrms bride au vibes...🥺👉👈#wyrms bride au

As re-entering a link from herzeleid.com never seem to work (??) I usually copy and paste the actual text. Remember a transcription of Flake chatting with fans that I posted from early 00'? Before this Paul had a similar if not the same chat. I have already too long post in tumblr now so it will be broken down in 2 parts!
PAUL CHAT WITH FANS part I
Transcribed by Jeremy Williams
Taken from Rammstein.com chat
October 26 , 2005
_____________________________
Mod: Hello to you all. Thanks for coming out. Paul will be here in just a few minutes. And then we're going to get started.
Paul: Let's go!
niti: +++
Mod: Sorry, there was a technical problem. But the chat will start soon.
niti: +++
**atomrt: how do you chose the sounds for each song because all of them fit perfectly?**
Paul: Thanks a lot! Sometimes that works out well, sometimes not so well.+++
**maria: Your album covers have always sparked a lot of controversy. Which cover is your favourite and why?**
Paul: The cover for Sehnsucht was the most dramatic in my opinion.+++
**Benzramm: What was coming out of the fake penis during the live act "Bück Dich"? **
Paul: That was water with Ouzo to make it milky.+++
**Beurgueur: Good evening, Have you ever thought to write a metal-opera based on rammstein’ story?**
Paul: Hopefully not. We have enough theater elements already.+++
**MafiUndomiel: I was at River Plate Stadium in Argentina, 1999, when you toured with KISS. You did almost surpassed KISS music and show with your impact, and many people was really impressed. I still remember the silence during Du Hast, as Till was singing the refrain. What do you remember of Argentina, of this show? **
Paul: Yeah, that was unbelievable. It's a shame that we can't play in South America this time. Flake was seriously ill.+++
**MafiUndomiel: Did Till write Te Quiero Puta on his own, or had some kind of external help? I know it's not very complicated, nor elaborated in the lyrics, but it's not easy to put two or three sentences together if you don't know the language... believe me! I'm still trying with German!**
Paul: He had some help from his girlfriend and from Flake's friend from Chile.
Paul: But Till can already speak Spanish so well that he only had a few questions about grammar.+++
**monkeyman: What type of gear do you use when recording in the studio?**
Paul: This would take two hours to list. Too much for now. Sorry.+++
**Hugo: Why did you choose almost the same cover for the japanese version of Reise, Reise and Rosenrot? **
Paul: Because we thought it would be a shame to use the cover only for the Japanese edition.+++
**MafiUndomiel: There are many bands that edited DVD and VHS with the footage they got when they recorded their albums, the creative process and all that stuff. Since many R+ fans are really interested in knowing "Rammstein's kitchen", have you considered releasing something of that kind?
** Paul: I filmed some of the footage during Reise, Reise and it will come out sometime on a DVD as bonus material.+++
**blastedop: What happened to Live DVD? It was delayed? **
Paul: Yeah a little bit, but we're going to try to do it this year.+++
**MafiUndomiel: I wanted to know how did you put your setlists together when you go to a country you've never been... you mix old and new material, or you prefer to show your new material above all, and play only the "classics"? **
Paul: We play a mix of both old and new.+++
**Jenna: As you are possibly the most successful band from Germany (singing in German) that you are expected to represent German music and culture to the rest of the world? **
Paul: It was never our plan to play all over the world.
Paul: Sometimes we wonder ourselves how this all happened.+++
**beurgueur: what american film director would you enjoy to make a ckip with **
Paul: Tarantino.+++
**Benzramm: Did you ever get hurt when you were working with fire on the live acts ? **
Paul: Sometimes.+++
**aeon: One Rammstein member said you had a movie project with Werner Herzog. Do you think this project will be carried out and would you like to act in something different from Rammstein videos ? **
Paul: It's been awhile with WErner herzog. Maybe it will work out, there's still a plan to do it.
Paul: +++
**Rammsteinizied: Dear Paul: What is your favorite live performance effect? (like the flamethrowes in Feuer frei or the bow in DRSG) **
Paul: The nose flame throwers that we use in Feuer frei!+++
**MafiUndomiel: Which was your first guitar? Do you still own it? **
Paul: It was a Telecaster copy. A cheap one. I gave away my first guitars at an auction for a good cause. No idea whether it worked out.+++
**Straya: This has been in my mind for a while now, and I must ask. From the sample songs on the official site, it seems Rosenrot might be your 'hardest/loudest' albums, the songs seem 'hard', in a way, like Ich Will, Feuer Frei, and Mein Teil; what do you think of this? **
Paul: I don't think so. There are fewer sequences so the guitars come out better.+++
**Synthema: Do you still feel that being in Rammstein is almost like being in a six-way marriage? Does the band still function as a tight a unit or have things drifted apart? **
Paul: Yeah.
Paul: We're still together. Knock on wood. We've been together for 10 years and now that we've gone through our crisis, we feel better than ever.
Paul: We've got money, success, beautiful women and all the rest.
Paul: Things can only get worse.+++
**Jenna: Do you think your videos help to stop you taking yourselves too seriously? **
Paul: We've always taken ourselves less seriously than many people think. our best friends know this.
Paul: At the moment, we don't feel like making any humouress videos.+++
**whiskeypapa: When writing a song, how many/what kinds of revisions does the song go through before finally making it onto an album? **
Paul: Some songs make it out directly as we conceived them. With other songs, we make 20 versions and they still don't make it.
Paul: +++
**Noora: HI! I'm a fashion and design student from Finland and I was wondering about your stage costumes...How much do you participate in the designing and making of the outfits that you use on your tours? I understand that every album has its own look. Do you first design the outline of the look as a band and hen consult a designer and maker? Thanx and welcome back to Finland! :)**
Paul: Most ideas come directly from the band. For the last outfit, we had the idea to combine Bavarian folkloric outfits with industrial.
Paul: Because Bavarian folklore is not very cool and we like to mix things that you're not supposed to.+++
**Beurgueur: Have you ever thought in what your life would be now if rammstein never was created?**
Paul: No. We don't think that way.+++
**minx: It’s been stated in several interviews that the band has two pyromaniacs in the group, but is there anyone who is not so fond of fire?**
Paul: Everybody in the band has a different specialty.
Paul: Each of us is really equally important.
Paul: It doesn'T matter what each does, it could be better when two are on vacation during preparation and actually help us to make a good video this way.+++
**Badeend: Who thinks of the titles of the cd's? Is it some kind of democraty or is it 1 man that decides?**
Paul: We make the decision as a group but it's not really a democracy. More like a board of directors.+++
**Biz: How have older industrial bands (such as Laibach or KMFDM) influenced you?**
Paul: A lot.
Paul: Also Ministry.+++
**minx: What is the oily black/brown liquid that you are all covered with on stage? Is it a fire retardant liquid?**
Paul: No.
Paul: That's a secret.+++
**minx: Why did you wear a paper bag over your head at the concert in Tallin, last November?**
Paul: I wanted to display an Iraqi prisoner.
Paul: There's a photo of a guy behind barbed wire and he's holding his son but he has a bag on his head.
Paul: That photo really had an impact on me.+++
**aeon: Why do you only do signing sessions in London and Paris? Why not in other big cities f Europe or even Germany? Or is anything planned? **
Paul: Actually we've only planned for Paris. London snuck in at the last minute.
Paul: I don't know any more signing sessions details right now.+++
**Badeend: Did you take gitar lessons or did you teach it on your self?**
Paul: Self-taught.
Paul: +++
**minx: I am going to be at the signing in London on Sunday. Do you enjoy doing those types of promotional events or are they just ‘hard work’?**
Paul: Sometimes it's a lot of fun but other times it can be exhausting.+++
**Synthema: It could be said that the "Rosenrot" photos are quite a departure image-wise from what one would expect from the band. Was this something that was decided by the band for a particular reason, or is this the sort of decision that is out of your hands? Does your management or record label have much control over how you present yourselves, or is that left to you?**
Paul: We don't like to repeat ourselves.
Paul: Usually the band always has the last word on these amtters. But weR'e not always interested in all of the details.+++
**Badeend: What is the new instrument you used in the song Te Quiero Puta?**
Paul: Trumpet.+++
**beurgueur: do you think you'll be on stage again when you'll be 60? (like rolling stones for example...)**
Paul: Hopefully somebody will die first. Then we won'T have to worry about that.+++
**minx: Do you do you all do own make-up for the shows?**
Paul: Yes.+++
**OK-River: Will Rammstein play again "Bück Dich" in a concert, or it is something of the past?**
Paul: I wouldn't say no.+++
**blastedop: Rosenrot is so diferent from Reise Reise. How is this possible if these songs are from Reise Reise recording season?**
Paul: I don'T think so. Listen to the whole album.+++
**Benzramm: Are you a sort of scared when flake is going with his boat in the public ? **
Paul: No.
Paul: But it was always Oli last year.+++
**whiskeypapa: Which of your songs invokes the most emotion from you?**
Paul: Seemann.+++
**MsBehaviour: Greetings from Finland and good evening! My question is, you have been playing together as a band for quite a many years now, and there is a big difference in the sound of Herzeleid and the sound of Reise Reise. Does this "evolution" come naturally to you, or do you make conscious decisions as to where to direct your sound? How do you feel about the change?**
Paul: There are some of us who want to stay the same.
Paul: There's some of us who want to always change.
Paul: These parties fight each other and the result is a new album or a black eye.+++
**MafiUndomiel: Have you heard a cover version of Keine Lust made by a Russian guy called Miguel? What did you think about it?**
Paul: Not yet, unfortunately.+++
**Badeend: Do you have a private jet or do you have to rent a plane?**
Paul: When the record company pays, we fly Business. When we have to pay, it'S Tourist class. Sometimes, when the connections are difficult, we rent a litlle jet.+++
**luna: First "Snow White" now "Rose Red". Do the members of Rammstein have a fondness for fairytales?**
Paul: Who doesn't?+++
**Synthema: Do you still enjoy performing live after all these years, or is it more of a chore now?**
Paul: If we didn't like it, we wouldn't have been around so long.+++
**Benzramm: Is there a double meaning in the songtexts of your songs ? **
Paul: Yeah. But the subtleties and double-meanings get lsot in translation.+++
**Badeend: What is your favorite song or cd?**
Paul: Kill Bill 1.+++
**DRS2G: Is "Hilf Mir" inspired by a Heinrich Hoffmann's tale?!**
Paul: Yes.+++
**Synthema: Have you ever felt that the success of Rammstein has been a negative thing for you in your personal life? That it makes it difficult to decide who to trust and who not to?**
Paul: It is difficult to stay normal despite money and success.
Paul: We fight this on a daily battle but we usually win.+++
**Beurgueur: from a viewer: what guitar do you use for your c tuning, and what guitar does richard use for this?**
Paul: I play a Gibson Les Paul and Richard plays ESP guitars.+++
**Benzramm: Did you really go to the mountains for the videoclip "Ohne Dich"?**
Paul: Yes. The was the funnest video of them all.
Paul: The thin air up there was difficult.
Paul: I'm impressed by mountain climbers who go even higher.
Paul: It was difficult for our crew and us.+++
**MafiUndomiel: how did you and richard decided who was going to be lead and who rythm guitars?**
Paul: Good question.
Paul: We're both stubborn.
Paul: It's a fight every time but we're still doing alright up to now.
Paul: Actually, the winner is supposed to be the one who plays the best solo.+++
**Badeend: Do you still have to take guitar lessons to play better?**
Paul: No.+++
**blastedop: Do you visit fansites? How about a Top 10 Fansites in the official page?**
Paul: From time to time.+++
**Badeend: Why did you pick just that girl for the Texas vocal in Stirb nich vor Mir?**
Paul: It was our producer's idea.+++
**MafiUndomiel: Paul, is there any country that you´d like to visit or going on tour, and you haven´t yet? Why?**
Paul: Yes, we would love to go to Turkey, Mongolia, Iraq. We know we've got lots of fans there.+++
**Jenna: Which current musicians (Not youselves, I'm sorry) do you think are creating the best work at the moment?**
Paul: System of a Down, Muse, Snoop Doggy Dog, Eminem, Slip Knot, etc.+++
**Rammsteinizied: Dear Paul, How do you feel about us fans?**
Paul: It's an honour.+++
**Minx: Do you have a favourite guitar part in a particular song you really enjoy?**
Paul: +++
**DRS2G: Will "Rosenrot" be the 2nd single from your new album?!**
Paul: Yes.+++
**Straya: I'm wondering how this question has not come up yet... but, plenty of people are asking if you guys will tour in America and Canada. I don't mean for this to be one of those annoying questions. But, has anything be talked about?**
Paul: I'm certain that we'll tour North and South America with our next album.+++
**rammsteinuk: I read in a recent interview that there were some arguments within the band during the production of 'Mutter'. Have there been any more strong disagreements like this since?
**Paul: Thankfully not. There's always stress when six stubborn people meet, but nothing serious.+++
**minx: Most influential musician on yourself?**
Paul: Laibach, Ministry, Metallica, Nirvana.+++
**blastedop: Did you like Benzin video? Schneider didnt.**
Paul: I don't think it's that bad.
Paul: We've had three really good videos in a row, so it'S hard to keep the standards so high.
Paul: I'm glad that there's some variation, next time we'll improve.+++
**whiskeypapa: First, Reise Reise saw a "country moment" with Los, and now Rosenrot has Te Quiero Puta. If you could make a fusion of Rammstein and any other world music (for fun), what would it be?**
Paul: Yes, I interested in all combinations of things that don'T fit together.+++
**Biz: Are there any downsides to being famous?**
Paul: We're famous but we can still buy groceries in Berlin without bodyguards.
Paul: We've got nothing to complain about.
Paul: Our band is famous around the world but we still have normal lives, thank God.+++
**minty: Paul are you looking forward to the world cup next year? who will win?**
Paul: Yes. It doesn'T look good for Germany right now.
Paul: I hope that a miracle happens.+++
**aeon: Do you hope your music will still be appreciated in many years from now or it doesn't matter to you ?**
Paul: I think that we're relatively timeless.
Paul: But that'S probably what every band thinks and two years later nobody cares ...+++
**DRS2G: Was it good to be directed by Jonas Akerlund?!**
Paul: Yes, he's just a cool guy.+++

Questions
(Or headcanons or rhetorical questions or story times or why do I keep doing this part or all of you should know that questions are an umbrella term so that when I'm bored, and can find this post again.)
*EXTREME EXHALE*
The post will be under the cut thing, since it's gonna be long.
1. Why does everyone have phones?
Who thought that this was ok? Also who found the materials to give a bunch of criminals phones. I know that this is "rainbow magic reality smear" Prison, but why?
Its not like I'm against it, it could give them insight to the real world, and teach responsibly?
I just wouldn't give them phones.
But I wouldnt be surprised if they were like school computers, so when you try to go to CoolMathGames, they will block you. That is a good idea, but still it's weird.
2. Why is Isou always around children?
He was around Noriko when she was a child, he hung around Manji that one time, (I classify Manji as a child since Manji is Ban, yada yada, go to my past Questions post for more explanation,) and now he is the weird Sub at Nadeshikos school.
Whats with the kids Isou?
Ya like kids?
I'm kinda thinking that he is like the "Child Outreach Specialist" or something?
I know that this
Is a lot more approachable than this,
But still, why does there have to be a separate goon for the kids?
Why not put elf in a actual elf costume, and have him be around the kids!
The Man with the Scar could save some money or wouldn't have go deal with all that Elf and Isou drama.
Maybe Elf doesn't like kids? Or he doesnt want to be asked stupid questions by kids? Either way, I'm not complaining since I enjoy Isou and his...
Ummm
Ability to be evil but not that evil.
Now we are getting to more of the talk about it stuff. (Not really questions)
3. Yakumo and Tsu-in existed since part 2 of the manga.
Proof
Gotta look pretty hard but once you see it, you never go back.
4. The Uno theory
This was mostly a Discord thing, but I am taking the liberty to talk about it here.
Due to the fact that Uno doesn't have a backstory, "game builder garbage and nanbaka" has decided that Uno could be evil.
Now, as much as it worries me to think about, Uno can't be evil, since every person who is a Elf... person or cronie or bro? I don't know, has pointy ears!!
*Disclamer, I pulled this theory right out of my ass, so it may not be correct. It's not the only reason why I don't think Uno is evil, i just wanted to bring it up.*
Yup, that's right if Elf can posses you, then you have pointy ears. Not as pointy as Elfs ears but not in the regular shape of a normal persons ear.
Example
I would love to show a picture of Uno without pointy ears, but HIS HAIR COVERING HIS EARS!!! And I dont feel like searching the manga for ear pictures right now. Ugh you and your gorgeous hair.
You get my point.
(Pun intended)
Another reason why Uno isn't evil, is that SHIN'S GOT ALL THE EVIL ELF SNITCH COVERED!!!!
Agghhh!! Shin!!!
Proof
WHAT ORDERS!!!
This is kinda out of context, so here is some context, this was before Zakuro and Ikkaku arrived at Nanba. Chapter 191 or 192, (im out of coins now searching for that.) But who else would he be talking to due to the context of the statement!!
SHIN IS EVIL!!!!
WHY WHOULD ANY PRISON WANT A BUNCH OF SUPER HUMANS, SUPER HUMANING IT UP!! SHIN HANDED, the lovely, MISS MOMOKO A BUCKET OF LIES!!!! HE LIED TO THE CAUSE, HE LIED TO MOMOKO!! FIRE HIM!!
Sorry for the all caps, I feel every strongly about HOW MUCH SHIN SUCKS!!!!
That's it.
And that also anwsers my
Why does Shin need an anvil to crush him in the skull? question from awhile back.

Ok im gonna preface this by saying the source material is old enough im certain someone else has come up with this, but ive never seen anyone talk about it.
Okay so. JJBA. Vento Aureo. Doppio.
Here's the different points of my theory, in order of descending likelihood.
1. Diavolo and King Crimson are the same entity. Diavolo either Became KC when struck by the arrow, or was always KC but didn't have access to his abilities.
2. Doppio was born with KC. We know he was born with a split personality, but even the source material says those are usually born of trauma. While the circumstances of Doppio's birth were certainly traumatic, it's tough to say whether that's enough to really do it.
3. This is where it gets Really speculative. King Crimson caused Doppio's birth. It was an impossibly fast gestation period with an impossibly long wait. That just reeks of Stand meddling
4. Whoever Doppio's father was, he passed KC on to Doppio.
Points of evidence:
A. We know Stands can go rogue, especially if their users lack the mental fortitude or fighting spirit to use them. Look at Holly and Polnareff. Both had rogue Stands at some point.
B. We know Stands have personalities of their own. While they are reflections of their users, they are more distilled and single-minded than their users. Sex Pistols, Purple Haze, Spice Girl, and Gold Experience Requiem are all examples just within Part 5.
C. Doppio can only use parts of KC. He is incapable of weilding his full might, because he lacks the fighting spirit to do so. KC bestows his arms and forehead to Doppio when needed, but never in normal situations.
D. KC has power over time. I bring this up to support the idea that he caused Doppio's birth. I think he is largely limited by Doppio's body, so he may have been more powerful before his birth. He needed a host to manifest, however, thus Doppio was born.
E. This is the big one. Diavolo is only depicted as King Crimson in the finale. Every other character shows their body, their Stand, and their Soul. Only Diavolo stands alone in this regard. This leads me to believe that Diavolo either Became KC or was always KC. The most likely to my mind is that he was always KC and lacked access to his powers until finding the arrows.
F. We know Stands can survive their users' deaths. There are only a couple of examples as of Part 5, but it's enough to set a precedent. Anubis and Notorious B.I.G. both outlast their users, and it's stated that Super Fly will outlast its user, although he survives his fight. This, paired with the existence of rogue stands, makes me think KC preexisted Doppio. Since KC isn't a bound stand, we have to look to Notorious B.I.G. for more info. This stand survives due to malice, an extremely powerful grudge that allows it to continue to fight past its owners death. KC doesn't seem to be a grudge, rather a personification of ambition. I believe Doppio's father had such a powerful ambition that his stand survived him and moved on to Doppio.
Stands are weird as hell, and no one character knows the limit to their abilities. It stands to reason, based on all the weird shit we've seen other stands do, that King Crimson is a prime example of Weird Shit Stands Can Do. There's a lot going on with him, and I think it's all explained by looking at other stands.

YES. Def hoping for MM to get a great new part...he has obvious, endless potential! I'd be bummed if he stayed in the Plec Zone, with a new show of hers or TO (which he did say didn't make sense to him, "Enzo doesn't know those people", and he is right on). He'll thrive if he gets access to better writing and direction (I ❤ you TVD but let's be honest). So hopefully he'll get to make a brave choice for his next role. And I'd be surprised if he plays so "pretty". He seems ready for some grit.
And one more thing…a little more Bonenzo relevant but still MM-centric (always)! Did you watch the FB live chat? Thoughts?? MM was a lil subdued but highlights for me were (1) his face at first when asked if he was satisfied with Enzo’s SL ultimately (2) the fact that he seemed a lil horrified at the idea of letting go of the character (that he hadn’t yet and to some degree never would) (3) describing the open sobfest he had in the Bonnie bedroom set after filming that final scene. D'aw!
Agreed, and yes, MM didn’t think going to TO’s made any sense and I’m positive he knew about Enzo’s death by that point. TVD is that single friend we all love but don’t introduce to other single friends because they’re crazy and... just no. But only we get to say that :p I agree with him thriving with better material and look forward to his next project. He wasn’t on the show long enough to be typecast so I think he’s got a good shot!
Ok so you’re the second person who asked, I really need to go watch this. Aww, it all sounds so sweet. Did you see the video of him crying in Bonnie’s bedroom? It was so gorgeous, I love when strong men cry openly like that. Ugh, he’s got stans for life in a lot of us and it’s just from being an amazing, humble, talented guy who brought our fave to life😭
