영화노트 ‘스틸라이프 (Still Life, 2013)’
잔잔하지만 단단하다.
처음부터 끝까지 편-안한 구도와 색감들이 너무 맘에 들었다. 마음이 편안해지지만 결코 가볍지 않은 영화. 엔딩도 개인적으로 완벽하다고 생각한다.
마치 ‘존 메이’라는 영국 남성의 실제 삶을 들여다 보는 듯한 느낌을 받을 정도로 연기가 훌륭하고 연출도 잘한 것 같다. 여행을 하는 느낌을 받기도 했다. 직장과 가까운 집, 넓지 않은 생활 반경 등등 덕분에 깊이 몰입할 수 있었다.
이 영화를 보면서 영화와 짧은 단편 소설을 읽은 듯한 느낌도 받았다. 스토리도 깔끔하고 완벽주의의 가까운 연기와 연출로 처음부터 끝까지 편안하게 영화를 즐길 수 있었던 것 같다.
