quietly making your way out of the house to meet sungchan, your boyfriend. neither of you was yet over the hype that came after having officiated your relationship with the title of dating. after years of pining, the (literal) boy next door and your childhood best friend was finally yours; as much as you were his, of course.

there were a lot of perks of dating your neighbour, to be honest. being able to meet him almost anytime of the day was definitely one of them. there was also, however, the tiny issue of having to ensure that all your rendezvous remained secret.

because, you know, there is the fact that neither of your parents would have been very approving of a partner "at this young an age?! you kids need to be focused on your studies! dating and whatnot will only jeopardize your friendships and make you one of those hermits who stay locked away in their room when a boyfriend or girlfriend breaks up with you!" you're pretty sure the thing about friendships was somewhat targeted..

you really did try to ignore your feelings for the boy. safe to say, that didn't work out well. his earnest confession and admittance of the fact that he was willing to take responsibility to keep you both a secret and completely hidden from all prying eyes was more than enough for you to brush your lips against the corner of his own and say yes.

Bazen gökyüzüne bakarken, içimde tarifi mümkün olmayan bir hüzün büyür. Herkes sadece birer su tanesi olarak görür bulutları, ama bana sorarsan onlar, gökyüzünün kalbinde biriken duygulardır. Sevda, hasret, pişmanlık… Hepsi birikir, ağırlaştıkça göğe sığmaz olur ve bir gün yağmur olup yeryüzüne dökülür. O yüzden ben yağmuru çok severim. Çünkü onun içinde söylenememiş cümleler, gidilememiş yollar, sarılamamış insanlar vardır.Bir zamanlar seninle beraber bulutlara bakıp hayaller kurardık. Her biri bir şekle girerdi; kimi bir kalbe, kimi bir kuşa, kimi de birbirine sarılmış iki insana benzerdi. "Bak," derdin, "şu bulut neye benziyor?" Oysa ben senin sesinde bulutların kendisinden daha çok kaybolurdum. Bulutlara baktıkça, seninle yaşadığımız anılar canlanır gözümde. O masum kahkahalar, ellerinin sıcaklığı, bakışlarındaki o derinlik… Hepsi bulutların arasına saklanmış gibi.Ama şimdi, ne zaman gökyüzü kapansa, içimde de bir fırtına kopuyor. Çünkü biliyorum ki bazı bulutlar asla geçmiyor. Bazı bulutlar, insanın yüreğinde yer eder ve gökyüzü ne kadar açsa da, senin içindeki o gölge hep orada kalır.Sen gittikten sonra fark ettim; bulutlar da ayrılık gibiymiş. Önce ağırlaşıyor, sonra bir damla damla boşalıyor içine. Gözyaşı gibi yağıyor üzerime. Ve ne zaman bir yağmur başlasa, seninle son kez yürüdüğümüz o sokak aklıma geliyor. Sessiz, ürkek, ama bir o kadar da kabullenmiş bir veda vardı o gün havada. Sanki bulutlar da bizim yerimize ağlıyordu.Şimdi her bulut bana seni hatırlatıyor. Çünkü sen de bir bulut gibiydin: Gökyüzü kadar özgür, ama bazen içi dolu dolu. Ve tıpkı bir bulut gibi, ansızın geldin hayatıma, sonra da sessizce uzaklaştın.Ama yine de seni sevdim.
