The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) is a scientific and technical organization that develops and publishes voluntary standards on the characteristics and performance of materials, products, systems, and services. The standards published by the ASTM include test procedures for determining or verifying characteristics, such as chemical composition, and measuring performance, such as tensile strength and bending properties. The standards cover refined materials, such as steel, and basic products, such as machinery and fabricated equipment. The standards are developed by committees drawn from a broad spectrum of professional, industrial, and commercial interests. Many of the standards are made mandatory by reference in applicable piping codes.

The ASTM standards are published in a set of 67 volumes. Each volume is published annually to incorporate new standards and revisions to existing standards and to delete obsolete standards. Listed here are the 67 volumes, divided among 16 sections, published by the ASTM.

Once upon a time I had LiveCycle on this laptop from where I'm writing this post. I used it for several years and in recent times as well, for the purpose of making the page utilities that I use here for easily making line entires and score comparisons. Apparently, when I purchased the licence so many years ago, it wasn't from a fully authorized source and now, nearly ten years later, it can be detected as being ingenuine. I can only assume that it somehow realized this and took a call for it to erase itself recently. I don't know exactly when, and I don't know what else would have caused it. I'm pretty sad about it in a way, I did make conduct a lot of research and programming with it, and was able to effectively build up a portfolio of sorts to show the kind of word I've done on the side. I guess I'd have to pay to use the newest version of the program on a monthly basis were I to continue with it. I guess I'd consider it if it were the means by which I earned a living now. Which it isn't. So oh well. Sadly, that's about all that's eventful to report on the week. Still no car, still same old stuff otherwise. Home sessions this week were pretty good at least, and I haven't had too many terrible plays at all, at least in comparison to prior weeks. I am truly grateful for it.
